Anthony Hernandez not stressing over UFC title shot: 'It will all work out soon'
Hernandez (14-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) is on quite the streak, picking up seven consecutive wins at 185 pounds with three Performance of the Night bonuses. "Fluffy" returns this Saturday as he headlines UFC on ESPN 72 (ESPN, ESPN+) against fellow contender Roman Dolidze (15-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC). Many wonder how many more wins Hernandez will need to earn his shot at the title, but Hernandez is not sweating it.
"I've been getting tagged in stuff like, 'You're the dark horse,'" Hernandez told MMA Junkie on Monday. "A lot of people have been pissed that I'm at the Apex like, 'No, f*ck that. I wanted to go see him,' which is a f*cking blessing because now the fans are starting to get behind me. The true people that know martial arts, they know that I know my sh*t, so whatever, it will all work out soon."
Should he get past Dolidze, Hernandez believes a title shot could come at any moment.
"I'm ready for whatever," Hernandez said. "This game is crazy, and you never know what to expect in this f*cking world. Someone can get hurt, and you can get called tomorrow. F*ck, who knows?"
Hernandez expects an exciting fight this Saturday. He believes Dolidze is the right dance partner to put on a show.
"I watched his tape, and I've watched him fight a few times, too," Hernandez said. "Like I said, he's a big f*cking brute, he moves forward, and he throws everything to knock you out. I think it's going to make for a great f*cking fight."

Michael Page against 'politics' of welterweight, embraces middleweight before UFC 319
Michael Page has a sound reason for remaining in the UFC middleweight division. Prior to handing Shara Magomedov his first-career loss at UFC Fight Night 250 in February, Page told MMA Junkie that his middleweight appearance would be a one-off and that he planned on going back down to welterweight. However, Page (23-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) finds himself booked against former 185-pound title challenger Jared Cannonier (18-8 MMA, 11-8 UFC) at UFC 319 on Aug. 16 from United Center in Chicago. So how did he end up here? "It is what it is. It's kind of worked out how it's worked out," Page told MMA Junkie. "I would have preferred to get a fight in the welterweight division. As I've said before, it feels like there's a lot more politics going on in the welterweight division, and everyone's a bit more tentative about who they fight. I'm just not at that stage of my career to care enough. "I'm just like, 'Give me a good fight, and I'm in.' I expected after that last win I was going to get another good fight, and I was getting names that didn't really make any sense. So, middleweight it is. I'm happy to get such a high-level fighter, probably the highest-ranked fighter that I've had so far. So I'm excited. I'm happy with the fights that I've had." Page still hopes to get a U.K. vs. U.K. showdown against former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards some day but doesn't see the current landscape at 170 pounds getting any less tangled. "Now having confirmed that Islam (Makhachev) is coming up to welterweight to fight Jack Della (Maddalena), again, it feels like welterweight is just going to be a bit of a holdup," Page said. "Middleweight right now definitely seems way more exciting. Obviously I got Jared to focus on at the moment, but I may be staying here for a while until things start moving again at welterweight."

Most favorable SEC football schedules for 2025 season
13 SEC teams will kick off their 2025 football seasons on Aug. 30 in Week 1. Missouri will open its campaign on Aug. 28 against Central Arkansas, while Auburn will travel to Baylor on Aug. 29 and South Carolina is slated to face Virginia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia on Aug. 31. Tennessee will also kick off its season in Atlanta. The Vols will face Syracuse in a neutral site matchup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Aug. 30. Kickoff is slated for noon EDT (ABC). Ahead of Week 1 contests, ESPN Football Power Index released strength of schedule rankings for all 16 SEC schools. Tennessee has the third most favorable football schedule among SEC teams in 2025 and No. 15 nationally. Ole Miss and Missouri are ranked behind the Vols. Roger Goodell hints at College Football RedZone amid ESPN deal
Roger Goodell is looking into having a RedZone channel for college football after ESPN acquired the NFL Network. While appearing on ESPN's SportsCenter, the NFL commissioner hinted at the potential launch of College Football RedZone. 'It'll continue to be produced right here in this building,' Roger Goodell said from NFL Network's broadcast studio in L.A. when asked about the future of NFL RedZone . 'It will be the NFL RedZone. I don't think fans will see any difference to that. 'Obviously, in the context of that, though, ESPN purchased the RedZone name, and they will be able to utilize that for other sports, college football and other things, and I think that could be an exciting thing for our fans also to see a RedZone, maybe in college football or other sports. That's something that they now own and have the ability to do that. But as far as Red Zone, NFL Red Zone, there won't be any changes for our plans.' Having a college football RedZone would a big win for college football fans, as it would be a great way to keep up with multiple college football games with one channel. And with there being more college football teams than what the NFL has, a college football RedZone could last from 12 p.m. ET to 12 a.m. ET with multiple hosts. On Tuesday evening, the NFL and ESPN announced that the four-letter network acquired the NFL Network and other media assets owned and controlled by the NFL – including NFL RedZone and NFL Fantasy – in exchange for 10 percent equity state in ESPN. As Goodell mentioned, the NFL will continue to own, operate and produce NFL RedZone. 'Since its launch in 2003, NFL Network has provided millions of fans unprecedented access to the sport they love,' Goodell said in a statement.
