The word "delulu", a play on delusion, was officially added to the Cambridge Dictionary on Monday, 18 August, as part of a significant update.

Dom also shared that she had lost six kilos since falling pregnant due to the illness and was 'scared of being judged for that'. 'I lost six kilos and feel like a shell of myself right now, so trying to put on weight and eat as much as I can while I still don't really have an appetite. It's a journey,' she said. Thyroiditis is a condition causing thyroid gland inflammation, often caused by the autoimmune disease Hashimoto's. Dom recently confirmed she will be a solo parent, days after announcing her pregnancy. The former reality TV star has split from her boyfriend Jarod Bogunovich, and deleted all traces of the Bondi skater from her social media. Domenica exclusively confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that she will be raising her child as a single mum, as she addressed the break-up rumours. 'I am incredibly excited about this next chapter in my life and feel truly empowered by my decision to step into motherhood on my own terms,' she said. 'While I will be welcoming this baby as a solo parent, I am grateful to have the support of the father in a co-parenting capacity.' Domenica, who rose to fame in 2022 on season nine of the hit series, said she is embracing this journey 'wholeheartedly'. 'Been a little MIA working on my greatest project the MAFS alum captioned her pregnancy announcement post. She added: 'Due September 2025.' Domenica is asking her fans to respect her privacy, as she explains that she is 'proud' that she has made 'the best decision' for herself, and her unborn child. Thousands of mice, rats and birds have plagued Parliament for the last five year
Thousands of pests have been caught in the corridors of Westminster, Metro can reveal. Pest controllers have had to tackle over 3,000 reports of mice, rats, insects and birds in Parliament, data from the House of Commons and Lords shows. Issues with unpleasant critters appear to be on the up as well, with the first six months of 2025 seeing almost as many call-outs as the whole of 2022. Westminster's pest team logged more than 3,000 reports of pests in the Parliamentary Estate since 2020. An army of mice is causing MPs and Lords the most issues, with more than 1,000 incidents to do with the small rodents. The problem has become so bad that Labour peer Lord Gardiner of Kimble called for cats to be brought in to tackle the vermin in July. They aren't the only challenge, though. Pesky moths flapping around have triggered more than 150 reports in the last five years. Others pests have also been caught scuttling around the corridors of Westminster. Dozens of rats and other 'mammals' have also been discovered in recent years. Parliament's pest control team has also been dispatched to eradicate scores of unspecified 'insects' and flies in the lobbies and grounds. Despite already employing baits, traps and hawks to prevent pests, issues appear to be on the rise. During the first two years of the Covid pandemic, there were fewer than 400 pests reported in the Lord's and shared spaces. But in 2022, that was at 578, and by last year it had hit 773. In the first six months of 2025, pest controllers have already tackled 516 reports. The pest control data was uncovered through Freedom of Information requests filed by Metro. The House of Lords provided numbers dating back to 2020, covering not just the House of Lords but also spaces shared with the House of Commons in Parliament. The House of Commons only revealed its pest incidents from August 2024 onwards. Some of the data covered in both responses might be duplicates of the same pest report, the House of Lords stressed. The Parliamentary Estate itself is massive, covering 16 football pitches, over 1,000 rooms and three miles of passageways. With buildings that date back to the tenth century, and its location next to the River Thames, the site has always been vulnerable to pests. It was revealed last year that Parliament has paid over £100,000 a year for pest control since 2014. In 2023-24 that figure rose to £136,000 – £10,000 higher than the previous 12 months, according to Daily Mail. They told Metro: 'With an area of over 250,000 m2, the number of pest control callouts for the Parliamentary Estate remains broadly in line with expectations, given the size and complexity of our building portfolio – one of the largest in Westminster and representing dozens of sites. 'We are committed to maintaining a humane and ethical pest control programme, focussed on preventative measures and the use of various control methods 'Increases in costs can be attributed to both inflation and increased building work on the Estate, though value for money remains a key consideration and we continue to follow all regulatory obligations.' Green MSP calls to block Palestine Action prosecutions
Mr Greer highlighted the case of a 78-year-old man in Scotland repeatedly visited by police after being arrested for wearing a t-shirt reading: 'Genocide in Palestine. Time to take Action.' The Labour Government placed Palestine Action on the same list as ISIS and Al-Qaeda earlier this summer, triggering hundreds of arrests across the UK. Last week alone, nearly 500 people were detained at Westminster protests, many for carrying placards supporting the group. Mr Greer has urged First Minister John Swinney to use the Criminal Justice Modernisation Bill to press the Lord Advocate to issue prosecution guidance, similar to measures taken on drug consumption facilities and prison overcrowding. The UK Government's attempt to silence pro-Palestine protests is a disgusting crackdown on dissent. That's why I'm calling on the Scottish Government to take every step available under devolved powers to undo this cowardly decision from Westminster. 'The independence of the Lord Advocate must be respected. But there are plenty of examples where they have set common-sense policies following the clear will of our Government and Parliament. "The safe drug consumption facility in Glasgow came after years of pressure across Scotland and was only possible thanks to the Lord Advocate issuing non-prosecution guidance which prevents arrests. Just last year she came to Holyrood to set out revised prosecution guidance in the face of capacity issues in the prison system. 'I am calling on the First Minister to use the Criminal Justice Modernisation Bill, currently going through Parliament, to set out Parliament's clear desire that the Lord Advocate to issue sensible guidance and end the ludicrous scenes we have witnessed of Police Scotland officers arresting peaceful pensioners for the 'terrorism-related offence' of wearing t-shirts and holding signs opposing the genocide in Gaza. 'This is a farcical waste of police and court time and it is obviously not in the public interest. We cannot overturn the ban on Palestine Action here in Scotland, but we can at least make sure it isn't enforced to this ludicrous extent. 'Of course people are disgusted by Israel's brutality and feel compelled to take action and call out the UK Government's complicity. No matter how hard Labour Ministers try, they cannot hide from the fact that they have enabled this genocide through the supply of arms, intelligence and military training to Israel. They certainly cannot shut down dissent and protest against their own actions. 'People across the country oppose this genocide and are desperate for the UK Government to end its support for Israel's disgusting actions. They also expect the Scottish Government to defend their right to peaceful protest.' International groups including Amnesty International and the UN's human rights chief have criticised the proscription, calling it a misuse of counter-terror laws. The Crown Office has been contacted for comment.
