Retro clothing retailer 80s Casual Classics will open its first store in the south of England this summer at The Liberty Romford shopping centre, marking the brand's fifth location.
80s Casual Classics has secured a 2,340-square-foot unit within the London shopping centre, which will showcase 70s, 80s, and 90s-inspired apparel from nostalgic heritage brands, including Sergio Tacchini, Fila Vintage, Ellesse, Adidas Originals, Lacoste, Diadora, and Benetton.
The retailer will also stock custom-made exclusives from third-party brands, including modernised retro styles, that can only be found at 80s Casual Classics locations.
Neil Primett, founder and managing director at 80s Casual Classics, said in a statement: "We have had huge success in the north, and a large portion of our online sales comes from the south, especially in the Essex and London region, due to the prominence of the subculture we sit within.
'We have no doubt that The Liberty Romford is the right place for us, and cannot wait to fulfil the ever-growing demand for high-quality retro fashion with a unique modern spin that we know the destination's highly engaged customer base will love.' 80s Casual Classics campaign image Credits: 80s Casual Classics
The Romford store will join its locations in Barnsley, Derby, Glasgow and Norwich.
Daniel Tucker, leasing manager at The Liberty Romford, added: '80s Casual Classics is unlike anything we have at The Liberty Romford, and as a result will help us diversify our mix even further.
'We are a destination that evolves with the needs of our community, and with the demand for nostalgic fashion growing, 80s Casual Classics will enrich our customer experience while also establishing a key point of difference.'

Syme is a sparkling success in Amsterdam as Scot claims his first DP World Tour title

Scotland's Connor Syme enjoyed a champagne-drenched celebration after claiming his first title on the DP World Tour. The 29-year-old went into the final round at the KLM Open in Amsterdam with a two-shot lead over playing partner Joakim Lagergren — and maintained the same advantage despite a brilliant closing eagle from the Swede. Syme finished 11 under after shooting a one-under-par 70 and making only one bogey in his final 38 holes. He said: 'Unbelievable, it was so, so difficult the last few days. I just felt so much better this week, I felt really ready to do it, and I'm so, so happy I managed to do it. 'Everyone helped so much and I'm buzzing to do it with Ryan McGuigan on the bag as well. I'm overjoyed.' Wife Alanis flew out to the Netherlands to surprise Syme on the final green, where he also enjoyed being soaked in champagne by compatriot Ewen Ferguson — who hit a hole in one earlier in the day to help him finish in a tie for fourth — and England's Richard Mansell. 'It's so, so nice that they stuck around,' said Syme. 'I've obviously been really pleased for them (when they've won titles) and I'm really happy to have joined them and won myself, so it's just amazing. Amazing.' Lagergren also closed with a 70, while South Africa's Jayden Schaper finished in third place, a further five shots behind, with a 69. Ferguson shot 67 to tie with fellow Scot Richie Ramsay (72) and Englishman Jack Senior (66).

Runaway pet zebra that became internet sensation finally captured

Ed the zebra was captured safely after being found in a field in the Christiana community in central Tennessee, the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office said. The sheriff's office said aviation crews captured him. 'Ed was airlifted and flown by helicopter back to a waiting animal trailer,' the sheriff's office said in a statement. Video posted by the sheriff's office shows Ed wrapped in a net with his head sticking out as he is carried by the helicopter to the trailer. Ed arrived in Christiana on May 30, the sheriff's office said. His owner reported him missing the next day. The zebra was spotted and filmed running along Interstate 24, forcing deputies to shut the road. But Ed escaped into a wooded area. There were several sightings posted to social media. Ed was filmed trotting through an urban neighbourhood. The zebra quickly became the subject of internet memes. One fake posting showed Ed dining at a Waffle House, a southern US staple. Others had him visiting other Tennessee cities or begging on the side of the road. The hunt for Ed came a month after a runway kangaroo shut down a section of the Alabama interstate road.
