TTD VIP Break darshan from May 15
NELLORE: Minister for Endowments Anam Ramanarayana Reddy on Tuesday announced that Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will resume accepting recommendation letters for Lord Venkateswara's special darshan, reinstating the earlier protocol to ease access for elected representatives. From May 15, TTD will allow Break Darshan for MPs, MLAs, and MLCs from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana based on their official recommendation letters.
Speaking to the media at his camp office in Nellore city, Minister Ramanarayana Reddy said the State government, under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's leadership, remains committed to temple development and spiritual promotion. The Minister stated that the government is planning to develop Srisailam temple a major Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peetha into a key spiritual and tourism destination. He said the CM had recently conducted a review meeting with Endowments Department officials to strengthen temple governance.
'Temples will follow all pujas and rituals as per Agama Shastra, strictly under the supervision of temple priests not government employees. Temples have been categorised into four types based on annual revenue, with 169 temples classified as 'Six-A' category. Of these, 22 temples with higher income will be further strengthened,' said Ramanarayana Reddy.

Union Minister takes part in Brahmotsavam of Lord Balaji
Hyderabad: Union Minister G Kishan Reddy expressed that he prayed to the Lord of the Seven Hills for blessings for the well-being of all people in both Telugu states. TTD board member accuses YSRCP of plot to tarnish temple's image
Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board Member G Bhanu Prakash Reddy has written to the Director General of Police (DGP) seeking a detailed investigation into what he described as a deliberate and coordinated attempt by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) to malign the TTD and destabilise the newly elected State government. In his letter, Bhanu alleged that the YSRCP, unable to accept its defeat in the 2024 Assembly elections, has been engaging in a sustained campaign of misinformation aimed at creating public distrust against the TTD and the government led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He claimed that YSRCP leaders were orchestrating a series of incidents and leveraging social media to spread false narratives and provoke unrest. Citing examples, he referred to a recent allegation by former MLA and YSRCP leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, who accused TTD of negligence, claiming that hundreds of cows had died in its Goshala due to mismanagement. Bhanu rejected these claims as 'false and baseless.' He also highlighted the circulation of a video showing a Muslim man performing Namaz within Tirumala temple premises, which the board member said was a violation of TTD norms. He alleged that YSRCP leaders had used the video to target the TTD administration and incite public anger. Another incident cited by him involved a YSRCP supporter allegedly raising slogans against the TTD chairman while in a temple queue line. He described this as a 'deliberately staged act' aimed at discrediting the TTD and the ruling NDA government. 'These are not isolated events and form part of a larger, carefully planned conspiracy by the YSRCP leadership to undermine the TTD's reputation and destabilise the state government', he said. Bhanu urged the DGP to initiate a criminal investigation into the matter, alleging that misleading content was being deliberately created and disseminated across social, electronic, and print media platforms to achieve political objectives.

NDA leaders see ‘conspiracy' to unseat alliance government in Andhra Pradesh
Several leaders of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government and members of the TTD Trust Board have questioned the series of unsavoury incidents in the recent past, and suspect them to be the handiwork of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in a bid to unseat the alliance government. The apparent trigger was the incident on Friday night, when a devotee in the Sarvadarshan queue line in Tirumala raised slogans against the TTD for 'neglecting the interests of the pilgrims' and causing them hardship during their Tirumala visit. He said the TTD officials had failed to provide them food and kept them waiting outside the queue lines for several hours. The video of the incident was shot and made viral on social media platforms, causing embarrassment to the TTD as well as the State government. However, when the TTD reached out to the devotee and tried to offer him solace, rather surprisingly, he retracted from the allegation and gave an 'all is well' statement. Growing suspicious about the intent, the TTD management issued a stern warning to the public not to make baseless allegations against the institution, as it would affect the sentiments of Hindu devotees across the world. Board member and BJP State spokesperson G. Bhanuprakash Reddy submitted a letter to the Director-General of Police, complaining about the 'conspiracies' of the YSRCP leaders to unseat the NDA Government. He charged the leaders of unleashing a false propaganda, supported by deliberate misleading comments on its allied media, to create confusion among the public. Mr. Reddy pointed to the instances of alleged cow deaths at the TTD-run dairy farm, SV Gosamrakshanasala, and the stray incident involving a Muslim cab driver performing 'namaz' in Tirumala, which were deliberately used to show the TTD administration and the NDA government in poor light. He sought a thorough probe and harsh punishment of the guilty for playing with the sentiments of devotees. Lokesh responds In his post on X, Minister for HRD N. Lokesh responded on the 'negative campaign' by the opposition party. He said the person raising slogans against the TTD was identified as YSRCP activist Baddili Atcha Rao of Kakinada rural, and expressed regret over the miscreants in the opposition party choosing Tirumala for their 'malicious campaign' against the government.
