"Cincinnati's season slate doesn't include many perceived breaks, and it's clear the stretch run from Thanksgiving through Christmas is built for the Bengals to prove themselves," NFL.com's Nick Shook wrote.

Jordan Love ‘can't wait' for Aaron Rodgers duel in Packers-Steelers game
Outside of his late June wedding date to tie the knot with longtime girlfriend Ronika Stone, Jordan Love has another reunion on his mind. On Oct. 26, Love will face off against former teammate and friend Aaron Rodgers, who is the Steelers' new No. 1 quarterback, when the Packers travel to Acrisure Stadium for the primetime 'Sunday Night Football' slot. 'It's going to be fun. It's going to be awesome. I'm excited for it,' Love told Channel 3000 during a break in Friday's first round of the American Family Insurance Championship at TPC Wisconsin. 'I can't wait to be on different sides, meeting up, and I know we'll talk pre-game, things like that. And hopefully we can exchange jerseys after.' Getty Images Rodgers was in Love's ear for three years after the Packers drafted the former Utah State quarterback at 26th overall in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Love watched Rodgers win back-to-back MVPs in 2020 and 2021. In those same seasons, he led the Packers to the playoffs and went as far as the divisional round in 2021. In 2022, he witnessed Rodgers' final season in the green and gold, which ended with an 8-9 record. Advertisement Love learned of Rodgers' new team the same way as everyone else, and is happy for his former teammate to find a new home after an unlucky and dissappointed stint with the Jets. 'I was excited for A-Rod. I don't think I was too surprised,' Love said. 'I feel like there were a lot of rumors going on throughout the whole offseason about him going to the Steelers. 'I was excited for him, that he was obviously coming back and going to be playing. There were also some rumors that he might be done, so just knowing he's going to keep playing, that's pretty awesome.' 4 Aaron Rodgers #12 and Jordan Love #10 of the Green Bay Packers look on prior to the game against the Tennessee Titans at Lambeau Field on November 17, 2022 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Getty Images Advertisement The signing with the Steelers sparked memories to come up for Love about Rodgers' mentorship, along with how Brett Favre approached a young Rodgers. 'I appreciate definitely the way A-Rod handled being in that situation, and I think a big part of it — which he told me — was he knew how it was for him being in that same position, and the things that he went through and the way the situation might've been handled [differently],' Love said. 'I think his perspective was, 'I'm trying to go about this a little bit differently,' which I think was awesome. 'In my time with A-Rod, we had a great relationship. It was awesome being in the same room with him, being able to learn. He was amazing with everything. And I definitely appreciate the way he handled everything on the outside with obviously him leaving and me taking over, and he's been very supportive of me [since]. 'It definitely helped with some of the negativity that might've come with that. But A-Rod handled it like a pro and did very right by me.' AP Favre's unretirement in 2008 and showing up at training camp to reclaim his old job led to a contentious relationship between the two. The pro-Favre part of the fan base took out frustrations on Rodgers, which left a mark on the quarterback. Thus, the Packers-Steelers game will have a very different energy to it than the games of Favre facing the Packers with the Vikings in 2009 and 2010. 'He'd been through the very same situation I was in, and he knew what it feels like to be in that situation,' Love said. 'I think that's just a testament to his character and the way he treats people. He was trying to go about it differently than it was for him. And I was grateful for that.'

5 best Trey Hendrickson trade landing spots from Cincinnati Bengals
Trey Hendrickson and the Cincinnati Bengals are at an impasse. The NFL's reigning sacks leader wants a contract extension and a raise that recognizes him as one of the best pass-rushers in the league. Meanwhile, the Bengals would much prefer their four-time Pro Bowler play out the rest of his contract, where he's set to have an $18.6 million cap hit in 2025, the final year of his deal. Recently, this situation has taken a turn for the worse, with Hendrickson taking his private spat with the Bengals public. Advertisement Now it's gotten to the point where some are wondering if a trade is inevitable. Yet, if the Bengals are still open to the idea of trading the All-Pro sack master, which teams should get involved? Related: NFL insider claims Cincinnati Bengals won't give Hendrickson specific contract ask they gave to Burrow and Chase Tennessee Titans Credit: Steve Roberts-Imagn Images Believing that they're Super Bowl contenders, the Bengals likely don't want to trade Hendrickson. But if they do, it probably won't be to a fellow AFC contender. However, what if a team like the Tennessee Titans swoops in with an offer too good to refuse? The Bengals may not have an issue trading their star defender to a team that just finished with the No. 1 pick, especially if the offer is strong. Carolina Panthers Credit: Kirby Lee-Imagn Images After allowing the most points in NFL history in 2024, the Panthers can't get too relaxed after addressing key needs over the offseason. Plus, they recently released Jadeveon Clowney. Could it have been a precursor to an even bigger move, like trading for Hendrickson? Hendrickson would give the Packers a player that every offense has to account for on any given snap. He'd make the entire unit better. If the Lions could get Hendrickson while only having to part with a 2026 second-round pick and change, wouldn't that make them one of this season's strongest Super Bowl contenders? Hendrickson can be that presence in Washington, ensuring the Commanders' defense only takes another step forward in 2025. Related: 2025 NFL QB Rankings: Who's No. 1 after the NFL Draft?

Philadelphia Eagles urged to trade for All-Pro pass-rusher
As the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles may not feel a strong sense of urgency to swing for the fences. Then again, the chance to repeat as champions could be just the exact type of motivating factor general manager Howie Roseman needs to execute his latest blockbuster trade. Specifically, analyst and former NFL general manager Marc Ross would like to see the Eagles swing a trade for Cincinnati Bengals All-Pro sack artist Trey Hendrickson. 'The Eagles dominated the Chiefs in the Super Bowl with a relentless pass rush, but Philadelphia has questions on that front heading into the 2025 campaign, given the loss of Josh Sweat, Nolan Smith's injury and the inherent need for young guys like Moro Ojomo (2023 seventh-round pick) and Jalyx Hunt (2024 third-rounder) to level up. General manager Howie Roseman hit big on the trade for wide receiver A.J. Brown in 2022. Trading for Hendrickson, who's in a contract standoff with the Bengals, could provide a similar effect for the defense. Plus, the Eagles just cleared more cap space by dealing Huff. This would be a case of the rich getting richer — and a move I wouldn't put past Philly. ' on Eagles trading for Trey Hendrickson Advertisement As noted, the Eagles interestingly did just part ways with Bryce Huff, who was expected to see regular snaps on gameday. That move not only opened up a few more snaps for others, it also cleared more cap space. In other words, the Eagles could certainly look to reinforce their pass-rush with the NFL's reigning sack leader. Though, in addition to paying whatever price the Bengals are seeking, which may be roughly a second-round pick, Philadelphia will still have to come to terms on a contract extension for the four-time Pro Bowler. Hendrickson is currently set to make $21 million this season in the final year of his contract. Yet, after recording an NFL-high 17.5 sacks, Hendrickson should be able to command at least $30 million per season. He may even creep closer to the $40 million annual salary Myles Garrett is earning from the Cleveland Browns. Is that a price the Eagles are willing to pay? If it means strengthening their Super Bowl odds, Roseman could be ready to pay the price. Advertisement Related: 5 best Trey Hendrickson trade landing spots from Cincinnati Bengals Related Headlines
