ESPN lists Auburn's Eric Singleton among college football's top receivers ESPN's Max Olson believes that Singleton will be vital to Auburn's offense in 2025.
Auburn football looks to take a giant step forward in offensive production this fall, and one of the nation's top wide receivers could help them achieve the goal.
Auburn added the No. 1 transfer portal receiver, Eric Singleton, to its receiver room during the offseason to bring experience to a room filled with talent, including Cam Coleman and Malcolm Simmons. Singleton led Georgia Tech in receiving yards over the last two seasons and is expected to have that same potential at Auburn, writes ESPN's Max Olson, who placed Singleton at No. 5 in the best receivers in college football for 2025 ranking.
Singleton has high draft stock and could reach, if not exceed, that potential in 2025, Olson writes.
Singleton, the No. 4 overall player in ESPN's transfer rankings in December, was extremely coveted upon entering the portal. The former freshman All-American finished second in ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year voting in 2023 and has put up 1,849 all-purpose yards and 10 total scores over his first two college seasons. Singleton also ran track at Georgia Tech, with a personal best of 10.32 seconds in the 100-meter dash. The speedster is hoping to play up to his early-round NFL draft pick potential in an Auburn offense that seriously reloaded with portal pickups this offseason.
In two seasons at Georgia Tech, Singleton hauled in 104 catches for 1,468 yards and nine touchdowns, catching 59% of targeted passes with eight total drops. He trails key receivers such as Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith and Alabama's Ryan Smith in ESPN's rankings, while leading Oregon's Evan Stewart and Texas A&M's Kevin Conception.

Last season, he threw for 3,061 yards, 20 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, per statistics from MaxPreps. He also carried the football 41 times for 342 yards and four touchdowns. This isn't the first time Taylor has connected with Hudson. Since committing to Nebraska, the future quarterback has been active in his recruitment of other top players in the 2027 recruiting class.
