
Saudi FM, Jordanian Counterpart Discuss Gaza Developments
The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, on Wednesday received the Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Al-Safadi, in Riyadh, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
During the meeting, both ministers reviewed the brotherly relations between Saudi Arabia and Jordan and explored ways to bolster them across various fields.
Furthermore, the Saudi and Jordanian foreign ministers discussed the latest regional and international developments, particularly the Palestinian cause and the current situation in the Gaza Strip.
The meeting also reviewed the efforts of the Ministerial Committee assigned by the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit on developments in the Gaza Strip.
Moreover, the two ministers reviewed the ongoing preparations for the International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, which Saudi Arabia will co-chair alongside France in June.
According to the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, Al-Safadi lauded Saudi Arabia's supportive positions towards Jordan and its development, as well as its care for the Jordanian workforce and residents in Saudi Arabia. He also underscored the significance of the growing cooperation between the two countries.
The Saudi Foreign Minister and his Jordanian counterpart stressed their commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation and coordination on Arab, regional and international issues, in line with the directives of both countries' leaderships.
