At 37 years of age, Jonathan Toews finds himself ready to once again lace up the skates, not for just any team but for the home team, the Winnipeg Jets. After leaving the NHL due to health issues, the three-time Stanley Cup champion is making a comeback in the league with a one-year deal expected to come to fruition on July 1.

With a very long layoff, his role may be a transitional one at first. Yet predominantly, his impact will exceed just numbers on the stat sheet.
