Parenting Influencer Karissa Collins' Family Guide: Meet Her Husband and 11 Kids
'Why do we have 11 children?' Karissa captioned a December 2024 Instagram post, appearing to address questions about her family life. 'I grew up not a fan of children. Never longed to be a mother. I have one sister. My hubs grew up with 2 siblings. We got married with a 5-year plan and on birth control.'
However, after a church sermon, Karissa and Mandrae 'decided to let God decide' their future.
'11 children later, we've been through it all. We've seen the hardest and most blessed moments you can dream of,' her caption continued, in part. 'We've seen him provide in the impossible, heal the impossible, give supernatural strength and joy, and prove us wrong every step of the way. It hasn't been an easy journey but it's the best decision of my life … to trust God to plan our family. All praise and glory to him alone!'
Why Influencer Karissa Collins Is Letting Her 'Body Do Its Thing' During Miscarriage Amid Backlash
Karissa sparked major backlash in July 2025 after a viral video of her kids hitting her belly after a miscarriage. Karissa explained that she's not a fan of 'controversy' in her life and did not post the belly video for followers.
'I apologize. When I posted that video, what was on other people's minds was not on my mind at all,' she said in a TikTok video at the time. 'I never thought of it that way. It was a cute moment with me and my children. I didn't think anyone would even watch it.'
She and Mandrae announced in July 2025 that they were expecting their 12th baby. Days later, Karissa confirmed that she miscarried and planned to let the fetal tissue pass naturally. This was her fourth pregnancy loss.

Jay Leno Warns Against One-Sided Political Jokes: ‘Why Shoot for Just Half an Audience?'
The former late night host's comments came days before Stephen Colbert announced the end of "The Late Show" Jay Leno has said for years that he doesn't understand why comedians would lean into one-sided political humor – and most recently cautioned against it just days before Stephen Colbert announced his late night show run on CBS was coming to an end. 'Comedy can be used to unite or divide people,' Leno said on July 15 during a conversation with David Trulio at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institution. Leno was asked for his thoughts on the intersection of comedic commentary and politics, two realms he sought for years to balance carefully. More from TheWrap Jay Leno Warns Against One-Sided Political Jokes: 'Why Shoot for Just Half an Audience?' | Video Speaker Mike Johnson Slams Ghislaine Maxwell's 20-Year Sentence: 'A Pittance' | Video The Best New Shows on Netflix in July 2025 Connie Chung Says 'Shame On' Shari Redstone and the Ellisons: 'I Fear the End of CBS as I Knew It' | Video The former late night host also said it was fun to receive letters from viewers who equally accused of him of being a Republican or a Democrat. They often were reacting to 'the same joke' he said, which was 'how you got the whole audience.' Leno reflected on his decades-long friendship with Rodney Dangerfield and noted, 'I knew Rodney for 40 years. I have no idea if he was Democrat or Republican. We never discussed it. We just discussed jokes.' 'And to me, I like to think that people come to a comedy show to kind of get away from the things, you know, the pressures of life or whatever it might be — and I love political humor,' Leno continued. After he was asked how to find 'common ground' through humor, Leno insisted that only catering to one political persuasion was ineffective. 'Well, why shoot for just half an audience all the time? You know, why not try to get the whole, I mean, I like to bring people into the big picture,'' he said. 'I don't understand why you would alienate one particular group, you know, or just don't do it at all.' Watch the interview in the video above. Marvel is Making Big, Cosmic Moves in Its Comics
Things are always happening in the Marvel Universe, and a lot's been happening as of late. Doctor Doom's taken over the planet and there's been some big assassinations up in space, and they're both leading to some new status quo changes over the rest of 2025 and into 2026. At its various panels across San Diego Comic-Con, the publisher gave details on what's to come in the aftermath of its two big, current events, Imperial and One World Under Doom. In the pages of Doom's final issue in November, the evil Doctor will make sure to turn his victory over Earth's heroes into a fixed point in time, which also means his defeat is just as fixed, too. This will lead us into what looks like a hunt for the new Sorcerer Supreme since Doom's apparently vacated the spot. Our candidates include the likes of Storm, Nico Minoru, and Captain Marvel, and the succession process will begin in December. Space-wise, Imperial will end its four-part story in October. In its wake is a number of new cosmic-focused books, two of which were fully revealed: Planet She-Hulk from Stephanie Phillips and Aaron Kuder picks up with Jess still stuck on Sakaar and running things after promising to rule over it in Hulk's absence. And in Nova: Centurion, Jed McKay and Álvaro López pick up with Richard Rider as a drifter holding a sentient repository of the now extinct Xandarians. That repository requires a lot of energy and money, and that means Rich has to make some cash while reeling from knowing the 'terrible lie that the new Galactic Union was built upon.' Both books will be followed by Black Panther: Intergalactic in December, then Exiles and Imperial Guardians in winter 2026. The premises and creative teams for those will be revealed in the coming months. Over in Ultimate Marvel, that universe's heroes will see their first big event in Ultimate Endgame. Announced prior to SDCC, the five-issue miniseries Deniz Camp, Jonas Scharf, and other artists sees the Maker (Reed Richards) finally come out of his prison to find the heroes that've cropped up in his absence. Now that he's freed, it falls to the Ultimates, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Mei, and Wolverine to gather thier allies and fight for their world. During the Ultimate Marvel panel, Camp said the event 'has a bigger impact than most people will know' on the main and Ultimate universes, and further likened it to Crisis on Infinite Earths before Jonathan Hickman cheekily corrected him with Secret Wars. Before Ultimate Endgame begins on New Year's Eve, Hickman and Marco Checchetto's Ultimate Spider-Man will wrap after a two-year run on Christmas Eve. (The other books, such as Ultimate Black Panther and Ultimate X-Men, don't have final issues set at time of writing.) However, this isn't the complete end, as Marvel's promised that book will 'create promising roadmaps for future storytelling.' What awaits the Ultimate universe after things go down in Endgame will have to wait until 2026 draws closer. Want more io9 news?
