Real Housewives Of London launch date finally revealed in first look trailer - with surprise swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Daily Mail15-07-2025
The launch date for the Real Housewives Of London has finally been revealed - as one star of the show took a swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Fans have waited patiently for the highly-anticipated series after it was announced last year.
The series, the third UK Real Housewives programme after the Cheshire and Jersey versions, will follow a number of wealthy and glamorous women based in the capital.
In May, the glamourous and wealthy lineup was officially unveiled, which features some very familiar faces.
Now, streaming giant Hayu has confirmed The Real Housewives Of London will be available from Monday, August 18.
A first look trailer released has introduced housewives Juliet Angus, Amanda Cronin, Karen Loderick-Peace, Juliet Mayhew, Panthea Parker and Nessie Welschinger to viewers.
Opening with a bleak, rainy London at the iconic Tower Bridge, the scene quickly changes to a recognisable one - a housewife dinner party - and the drama quickly starts to unfold.
For season one, fans will see Juliet Angus return to London to run her jewellery store, while celebrating 20 years with her husband Gregor.
Amanda Cronin's skincare line is booming, though her history with Juliet is set to cause friction in the group. The single millionaire is also on the hunt for a new man.
As her children officially flee the nest, Karen Loderick-Peace returns to London to live life on her own terms, while chasing the dream of starting her own fashion label as her status is put under pressure.
Meanwhile, Panthea Parker will leave the group of women reeling with her sharp-tongue and unapologetic opinions as a big birthday looms.
Taking on the role of the group's unshakeable heart, children's cookbook author Nessie Welschinger will attempt to play peacemaker during the series.
Also in the trailer, fans see Panthea, 50, who is married to a city lawyer and master of the City of London Solicitors' Company, instructed to 'not ask the monarch about Harry and Meghan' before meeting him.
While on route to the reception, she's given the orders in her plush car after she vowed to quiz the King on the strained relationship.

Rick used his platform to raise £15,000 for Prostate Cancer UK that year, hosting the first YouTube Golf Day. His videos have featured a number of celebrities, including pop star Robbie Williams and former World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall. Alongside his main channel, Rick also hosts his own podcast with more than 250k subscribers on YouTube. "We've done 304 completed near-perfect episodes," said Rick in one of his recent episodes of The Rick Shiels Golf Show, as he announced a renewal of the series. Is Rick Shiels a professional golfer? Born and raised in Bolton, Rick began playing golf at Hart Common Golf Club in Westhoughton at the age of 11. He earned a diploma in golf studies at Myerscough College, where he studied alongside fellow YouTuber Peter Finch. He initially launched his YouTube channel in 2011 as a way to attract more clients for lessons after he moved to the Trafford Golf Centre in Manchester. As he has gained visibility in the field, he has partnered with major brands like Nike, Garmin, Mastercard, Lyle & Scott, and ECCO for content and apparel collaborations. During the 2025 Masters in April, Rick took to social media with a snap of the menu from the Women's Amateur staged at Augusta National. 3 Who is Rick Shiels' wife Claire? Since 2013, Rick has been married to his wife Claire, whom he called "bloody fantastic" in his anniversary Facebook post. He met her when he was 37, and their romance has been "incredible ever since", he said. They were recently spotted in the crowd at an Oasis concert in Manchester together. Their three children have also "fallen in love with golf", as Rick revealed on his Instagram post from the AIG Women's Open this year. "They have come away from the experience with an excitement about their own golf journeys," he said. "Getting to spend time watching some of the world best including Charley Hull and Nelly Korda has really inspired them." 3 Recently celebrating his 39th birthday, Rick has shared his experience with giving up alcohol a year ago. "Honestly, I feel much better for it. More energy, more focus, better sleep. And I'd like to think it's even helped my golf game a bit too," he said. "This isn't me telling anyone what to do. It's just something that's worked for me, and I wanted to mark the moment. One year alcohol-free, and who knows where this journey takes me."

Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas reveal they're sleeping in separate beds after eight years together

LUCY Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas revealed they sleep in separate bedrooms after eight years together. The couple - who share two children together, son Roman, five, and daughter Lilah, three - opened up about their sleeping arrangements. 3 3 Lucy, who got engaged to Ryan in 2019, admitted she struggles to get decent shut eye thanks to her partner being a "nightmare sleeper". She made the confession on the At Home With The Thomas Brothers podcast, joining her fiance and his two brothers for the latest episode. Lucy explained: "Basically we sleep in separate bedrooms because Ryan is a nightmare sleeper." His brother Adam joked: "He's always trying it on with me," while their sibling and Love Island star Scott quipped: "He always wants a cuddle." They were all left in hysterics, with mum-of-two Lucy saying: "I mean that is annoying..." She continued: "Basically Ryan snores, he sleep talks, he whacks me in his sleep." Ryan cheekily replied: "I weren't asleep darling," leaving them in fits of giggles. TV personality Lucy then explained the reason behind their decision to sleep separately. She said: 'It's just to get a good night's sleep. And that's just become normal now. But sometimes I do sleep with Roman.' When they asked Adam if he and wife Caroline have ever slept apart, the ex Emmerdale star admitted he "couldn't imagine" not sleeping in a bed with his wife. Inside Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas's family trip to Disneyland Paris Although some couples believe sleeping in the same bedroom is important for their relationship, a number of celebrities disagree. Vicky Pattison and her new husband Ercan Ramadan revealed they don't always sleep in the same bedroom together. Joe Swash also confessed that he and Stacey Solomon sleep in different rooms thanks to his busy schedule. Even Richard Madeley and wife Judy Finnigan sleep separately when he has to appear on Good Morning Britain the next day. Speaking to Kate Thornton on her White Wine Question Time podcast, he said: "When I'm doing Good Morning Britain I sleep in the spare room. "I do probably sleep a little bit better in bed with Judy but I'm okay on my own. On the notion of disrupting Judy's rest, he quipped: "I wouldn't think of doing that to Judy. "Apart from anything else, Judy and her sleep, you do not mess with." While comedian Katherine Ryan revealed she doesn't share a bed with her husband – and instead sleeps "like a dog'" at the foot of my kid's bed. EMOTIONAL MOVE In February, Lucy said an emotional goodbye to her home of 11 years. The star shared a video of her packing up her London home after moving to Manchester with Ryan and their children. But as she packed away her things, Lucy shared that she struggled with the memories of the house, which was her first home after moving away from her parents and first renovation. Calling the move 'one of the most emotional weeks of her life' she told her followers: 'I really didn't expect to get so emotional, but I moved out of my home 11 years this week, that's how we spent half term.' 'It was such mixed emotions, because we outgrew this house so long ago,' she continued. 'We've made the big move to Manchester, and we're really happy, but there's so many memories I've hung on to in this house. 'I went from being single, it was my first big renovation project, it was my first real home since moving out my parents, I guess, and I bought both my babies back from hospital here.' 3

Kate releases second film highlighting the beauty of 'Mother Nature' - inspired by the solace she took from the countryside during her cancer journey

The Princess of Wales has released the second of her quarterly films highlighting the beauty of 'Mother Nature', inspired by the solace she took from the countryside during her cancer journey. 'Summer' was filmed in the UK over the last few months and includes: Sheffield, Bradford, North Wales and Anglesey and the south coast of England. And while it doesn't feature the princess visually, Catherine does provide the voice over for the film, which was released on Kensington Palace social media channels. A written message, also by the royal, said: 'Our lives flourish when we cherish the bonds of love and friendship. It has never been more important to appreciate the value of one another, and of Mother Nature. Here's to Summer. C'. The series launched in Spring to huge public interest as a celebration of the changing seasons across the UK, and a 'reminder and reflection of the beauty and complexity of the human experience'. Kensington Palace said today that the new summer episode 'remains rooted in nature but also captures meaningful human interactions and embraces the joy of connection'. It features a group of ballet dancers in the film, students from The Royal Ballet School, filmed in Richmond Park. Each of the dancers featured also performed in the princess' Carol Service in 2024. Catherine says: 'Summer is a season for abundance. Just as the flowers bloom and the fruits ripen, we too are reminded of our own potential for growth. It is the time to ignite our inner fire and explore our own creativity, passions, and dreams. 'As we bask in the sunlit hours, friends and families come together; playing, connecting, being present. Embracing the joy to be found in even the most fleeting of moments and shared experiences._ 'Our lives flourish when we cherish the bonds of love and friendship. 'So open your hearts; sing, dance, play. 'The days are still long, so simply love, and be loved.' In May, the Princess of Wales turned her hand to film again, and personally launched a video revealing how she embraced 'the healing power of nature' during her cancer treatment. The series, which will be released on Kensington Palace's social media channels, began today with 'Spring', a three-minute film narrated by Catherine and including footage of her and Prince William on the Isle of Mull earlier this month. The other three short films will be released across the course of the year, with Summer, Autumn and Winter editions in due course. Referring to how she sought comfort and strength from being outdoors with her family during her cancer battle last year, she says: 'Over the past year, nature has been my sanctuary. 'The natural world's capacity to inspire us, to nurture us and help us heal and grow is boundless and has been understood for generations. 'It is through nature, that we can fully understand the true interconnectedness of all things, the importance of balance and the importance of renewal and resilience. Connecting to nature helps us to experience a deeper sense of ourselves, the world around us, and each other.' She adds: 'Spring is a season of rebirth, of hope and new beginnings. From the dark days of winter, the outside world quietly awakens with new life, and there comes a sense of optimism, anticipation, and positive, hopeful change. 'Just as nature revives and renews so too can we. Let us reconnect to nature and celebrate a new dawn within our hearts. 'It is often from the smallest of seeds that the greatest change can happen, and in this ever-growing complex world, we need to hold on to what connects us all. Spring is here, so let's make the most of it together.' The princess also makes clear how much she hopes that her message will provide an antidote to the 'increasingly complex and digital world'. Signing off the post with 'C' - a sign that it personally comes from her - Catherine writes: 'This year's Mental Health Awareness Week, we are celebrating humanity's longstanding connection to nature, and its capacity to inspire us and help us to heal and grow in mind, body and spirit. 'As we confront the challenges of an increasingly complex and digital world, the importance of the connection between humanity and nature takes on even more significance. 'The Mother Nature series is a reminder and reflection of the beauty and complexity of the human experience. It is a tribute to the lessons we can learn from nature, helping us to foster our own growth, strengthen our bonds with the world around us and each other.' 'Mother Nature' is described as a 'celebration of the raw, untamed beauty of the changing seasons across the UK'. Her husband, William, has previously campaigned to get the social media giants to take more responsibility for their platforms and spoken of his concern that an entire generation is growing up on their phones. The launch of the series coincides with the start of Mental Health Awareness Week, which begins today. Sources say it is being 'spearheaded' by the princess and will highlight humanity's longstanding connection to nature, as well as nature's capacity to inspire us and help us to heal and grow in mind, body and spirit. Growing up in the countryside, the future queen has always enjoyed promoting the healing power of nature. Indeed she worked closely on a Back to Nature garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019, and has used her longtime relationship with the Scouts to focus on enabling children and young people to experience the outdoors and natural world. It has also been a theme of her charitable work – engaging with children in nature through the Natural History Museum and seeing the benefit that nature has for children and their families receiving hospice care at East Anglia's Children's Hospices and more recently, Ty Hafan in Wales. It is understood that the Princess of Wales is keen to spotlight the beauty of the changing seasons in the UK, and in doing so aiming to remind everyone just how much good can be done by spending time in nature – wherever they live in the country.
