Rawayana and Bomba Estéreo Plot First Tour as a Supergroup: ‘A More Experimental and Collaborative Space' (EXCLUSIVE)
The Colombian duo Bomba Estéreo, and recent Grammy winners Rawayana, will soon head out on their first tour as a supergroup. The tour will take both bands across the United States and Canada for 16 shows in support of the release of their self-titled debut album.
'I'm really pleased and happy with this project,' Bomba Estéreo's Li Saumet tells Variety. 'It's new and exciting and it gives me the opportunity to add new things to my performance — new characters, new sides of myself — that push me to leave comfort zone and enter a more experimental and collaborative space.'

Bomba Estereo Unveil Dates for Biggest Tour of Their Career
'Astropical' is a 12-song collection built on tropical music — taking inspiration from the South American coast — and Afrobeats with vocals from Bomba Estéreo's Li Saumet and Rawayana's Beto Montenegro. The album cover and titles are astrology-themed, featuring such songs as 'Me Pasa (Piscis),' and the joyful 'Brinca (Acuario).'
The tour will officially launch on May 24 with a the Fuego Fuego Festival in Montreal, followed by a date at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto, followed by the start of U.S. dates on May 28 at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. The final date is set for Sept. 12 at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, Calif.
The group will get to warm up for their jaunt with scheduled performances at the Vive Latino festival in Mexico City, set for March 16, and the Estéreo Picnic festival in Bogotá, where they will perform on March 29.

'There is no feud,' Walton Goggins says of his relationship with Aimee Lou Wood, his co-star in The White Lotus season 3, courtesy of a new interview with Variety. FIND OUT MORE ON ELLE COLLECTIVE That revelation might come as a surprise to series fans, some of whom have questioned the status of Goggins and Wood's friendship in the wake of the third season's debut earlier this spring. Feud rumors first circulated on the heels of comments by co-star Jason Isaacs, who repeatedly referred to 'social tensions' on the HBO drama's Thailand set. Those rumors were further inflamed by Goggins's physical separation from the rest of the ensemble cast, including Wood, post-wrap. As he explained to Variety, that distance wasn't personal: He's been preoccupied with production on Prime Video's Fallout season 2, and on the evening of The White Lotus season 3's finale, he was in New York for an appearance on a late-night show, far from his fellow cast members. In the latest chapter of showrunner Mike White's hit drama, Goggins and Wood play Rick and Chelsea, an unlikely pair of star-crossed lovers who meet a heart-breaking fate in the finale episode. During the Variety interview, in which Wood and Goggins were interviewed jointly, Goggins turned to Wood to express his sorrow at having missed the cast's finale watch party. 'I wish I would have been able to watch this with you,' he shared. 'It was so cathartic and so painful, and I regret that. I really do.' But as the two explained in the cathartic tell-all, they have nothing but love to share with each other, and their rumored 'feud' largely amounts to public misconception. 'I adore, I love this woman madly, and she is so important to me,' Goggins said of Wood. 'This is Goldie Hawn. This is Meg Ryan. She can do anything, and she will. You watch what the next 20 years of her experience will be. I'll be on an island, I think Greece. But she's special. There is no feud. She is love and I know that I am that to her. We care about each other very deeply.' In the days leading up to Goggins's recent Saturday Night Live hosting gig, the comedy show revealed a skit in which Sarah Sherman played a parody version of Wood's White Lotus character, Chelsea, complete with a pair of prosthetic buck teeth. Wood later went on Instagram to describe the sketch as 'mean and unfunny,' while Goggins reposted the clip and complimented its humor. Many viewers interpreted this move as a not-so-subtle swipe at Wood. Goggins told Variety it was anything but, and that after he encountered Wood's hurt response, he 'felt awful and deleted his post.' 'I've been posting for 14 fucking years, and if I'm gonna say something, I'm gonna say it to your face,' Goggins said. 'I don't use social media in any way, and I'm not a mean guy.' Added Wood, 'I think it's such a comment on where we're at culturally. Why is everyone obsessing over Instagram? That is irrelevant. We don't give a shite about Instagram.' Goggins also addressed why he unfollowed Wood on Instagram after The White Lotus wrapped, as well as his recent interview with the U.K.'s Times, which was published with the title, 'Walton Goggins: Aimee Lou Wood? I'm not gonna have that conversation.' Regarding the Times story, Goggins said he simply did not feel as if a solo interview was the right time and space to address his relationship with Wood. 'What am I gonna do, speak for both of us? Never,' he said. Regarding Instagram, he explained that he unfollowed Wood as a way to distance himself not from Wood herself but from the experience of filming The White Lotus. 'My catharsis in this experience was different than other people's, because of my history in this place,' Goggins said of his time in Thailand, referencing his time spent traveling the country in the wake of his wife's suicide in 2004. 'I knew what [Aimee and I] had gone through, and I knew how close that we had gotten, and I needed to begin to process saying goodbye to Rick and Chelsea,' Goggins continued. 'And I knew that that was going to take a while for me, so I let her know, this is what I've gotta do. And she was extremely supportive about that.' He continued, 'I needed to just back away from everyone. I haven't spoken to anyone [from the cast]. I couldn't handle it. Judge me or don't. I don't give a fuck what you think. This is my process. Rick means everything to me, and Chelsea means everything to me. And so that's what I needed to do for me to process all of this.' At the end of their conversation, Variety reports that Goggins re-followed Wood on Instagram, and that they embraced. 'I completely understand,' Wood told him. His response: 'I love you.' Christian rock band respond to former member's drug abuse, sexual assault allegations Nashville-based Christian rockers Newsboys are responding to troubling news regarding their 59-year-old former lead singer, Michael Tait. In a post on the group's official Instagram account, the Australian-founded band responded to allegations of drug abuse and inappropriate sexual conduct against Tait while also distancing him from the band. "Last night, our hearts were shattered when we read the news alleging drug abuse and inappropriate sexual actions by our former lead singer, Michael Tait. While Michael has not addressed these allegations, we are devastated even by the implications," the statement read. "First and foremost, our hearts are with the victims who have bravely shared their stories. If you are a victim, we urge you to come forward. We absolutely do not condone any form of sexual assault." The quartet noted that as husbands who are fathers of 14 children in total, they were "horrified, heartbroken, and angry at this report and in many ways, we feel as if we and our families have been deceived for the last fifteen years." Tait told the band he had 'been living a double-life' In January 2025, Tait, who was the lead vocalist of the group for 15 years in their four decades of existence, offered the following in a statement: "Fifteen years ago, my life was forever changed when I received the invite to step into the role of lead singer for Newsboys. The years since have been some of the most fulfilling, faith-filled, and rewarding years of my life." "I have been on an amazing journey all over the globe, performing and ministering to people of all ages, races, and backgrounds." "The decision does not come lightly and has been a shock to even myself, but admist prayer and fasting, I have clarity that this is the right decision," the statement continued. In their June 5 statement, Tait's former bandmates, Duncan Phillips, Jeff Frankenstein, Jody Davis and Adam Agee, noted that when he left the band, he "confessed" to them and their management that he "had been living a double-life." Through a nearly three-year-long investigation by The Roys Report, it was discovered that for two decades, Tait befriended three young men on Christian music tours in 2004, 2010, and 2014. The trio were all 22 at the time of their first interaction. Allegations of Tait, then two decades older than his accusers, engaging in acts of sexual assault and grooming highlight the lengthy investigation. Latest on Michael Tait As of June 5, Tait has not officially responded to the allegations on his social media accounts or the statement from his former bandmates. As well, there have been no further comments from the group. Upon their 2021 release of "Stand," their 20th studio album, the band spoke with The Nashville Tennessean, part of the USA TODAY Network. It's noted that when Grammy-winner Tait, formerly of DC Talk, replaced Peter Furler as the group's new lead vocalist in 2009, the band no longer had any original members in its ranks.
