Race Across The World left out HUGE part of winner's life as fans ask ‘why wouldn't they mention that?'
IT was a tense sprint to the finish line in last night's finale of Race Across The World.
But fans were baffled that a huge part of the winner's life had been left out of the series.

The final episode followed the pairs travelling from Goa, India, to the southernmost tip of India, Kanniyakumari, 1000km away.
But after a 51-day cross-continent race, it was mother and son duo Caroline and Tom who took home the £20,000 prize.
The pair, who were leading the race from its fifth episode earlier this month, beat brothers Melvyn and Brian, sisters Elizabeth and Letitia and young couple Fin and Sioned to the finish point.
And it was an emotional moment for the duo, as they opened the all-important guest book on their arrival.
Celebrating their win, Caroline broke down in tears telling her son: 'We must never doubt ourselves, ever, ever, ever again.'
On-screen Caroline has spoken about giving up her career to become a mum and how the show has given her the chance to do something for herself.
But what hasn't aired on the BBC show is that Caroline is a successful eventer.
In her everyday life, the Race Across the World winner has a number of achievements under her belt when it comes to horse riding.
Just before she joined the show, she won the 2024 British Eventing BE80 grassroots league when riding 14-year-old horse Really.
Caroline has had Really for almost a year now, according to British Eventing.
Secrets of BBC competition show exposed in one-off special episode after fans slammed 'fake' scenes
Since Race Across the World came to an end, she has returned to eventing and has continued to be successful
This season, Caroline topped the British Eventing's BE90 March/April OBP League.
In May, she told The Horse and Hound: "It's lovely to be back and I'm looking forward to the championship.
"Eventing has got a little bit of the challenge of Race Across the World because you have to be prepared, fit, determined and have an aim in mind."
Fans questioned on social media why this was never aired in the show and one said: "Horseandhound magazine has an article about Caroline.
"A successful eventer for years, and Tom who Caroline had when she was 40.
"Have lost trust in this programme and the phoney sob stories. Such a shame."
Another added: "Why wouldn't they mention this on the show!"
A third explained: "I'm not dismissing her feelings about her role in life, but her whole I'm just a stay at home mum who has never done anything in my life attitude rubs a bit thin when you take her sporting career into account.
"She's not just an amateur, she has been doing it for 25 years + (i.e. all the time she was running a house)."
Another added: "I don't like how Caroline is making out that she is just some poor housewife who has never had a life when actually she is a very successful eventer."
"She is making out that she hasn't done anything for herself since getting married, this is simply not true," explained another.
While one poster said: "I think that's more of an age thing, and your children getting older.
"My Mum kept going on about having lost her purpose and confidence when I went to uni even though she had a very successful career."
But another disagreed: "Caroline is successful in Eventing (horse sport) which, to me, makes her sob story seem a little disingenuous and designed to counter their obvious privilege.
"They definitely have grown over the course of the series and become more likeable, I don't think the producers really needed to work as hard on it as they might have thought."
Caroline also told the publication that her experience with horses helped her on the TV show and added: "Horsey people are generally quite grounded and extremely tough.
"You can put up with being dirty and grubby and you just get on with it, and that really helped because dignity goes out the window very, very quickly.
"You don't mind getting your hands dirty in both senses of the word.
"And I was quite fit, which was probably the biggest help for me in the long run."

BBC's Race Across The World fan favourites nearly didn't make the start line
The show's 8million viewers loved watching the 60-something pair have a whale of a time as they travelled 9,000 miles across Asia, with many hoping they would win Race Across the World brothers Melvyn and Brian Mole nearly didn't make it onto the show together - because elder brother Melvyn asked everyone he knew before thinking of his sibling. Viewers watching the pair, both in their 60s, over the last two months learned that they had been brought up by parents who treated them very differently - Melvyn went to a local state school while Brian was sent away to private school, and no explanations were given. But they became firm favourites with the audience as they grew closer together and tackled the gulf between them that had been created in childhood. Now driving instructor Melvyn, 65, has revealed he didn't think to ask financial advisor Brian to join him in his application for the series until the last moment. 'I rang Brian after I'd asked the wife and every other friend I'd had and then thought, 'I better ask Brian and so if he wants to come' - he said yes straight away.' Brian laughed: 'He ran out of everybody then said 'Brian, do you fancy doing Race Across the World?'' Since finishing Race Across the World, recorded last year, their newfound bond has remained intact. Brian revealed on BBC Breakfast that they now speak on a daily basis and are now 'enjoying life' with regular meet ups while Melvyn said: 'We are a lot closer. We understand one another a wee bit better.' That's not to say the 9,000 mile journey across China, India and Nepal wasn't without it's problems. 'Sitting next to Melvyn for 11 or 12 hours on a bus or a train was hard work – he just goes on and on,' said Brian, a retired financial advisor. But they said they would get over any arguments by giving each other 10 minutes of peace. 'Then we'd be best of friends again,' driving instructor Melvyn beamed. And they said that others who feel they might not be able to cope with the rigours of travelling should also give it a whirl. 'If a couple of old fellas can do this and do really well on it, then come on, anyone can do it! Age isn't a barrier is it?' Many fans had hoped the pair - who had won three previous legs - would triumph overall. But they lost their place as leaders during the penultimate leg after opting to take a quieter route moving south through India, avoiding the huge city of Mumbai. It meant they started the last leg behind eventual winners Caroline and Tom by 17 hours and in the end they finished in fourth place. But they took heart from knowing they'd made up many hours en route, meaning they were the fastest pair to complete the last leg. Sitting on the sofa with teen couple Cray and Fin Gough, the brothers said they were 'really proud' of how the youngsters had done. 'We're proud of you too,' Sioned declared, as presenter Naga Munchetty commented on their friendly banter. 'We all got on so well but sometimes it's as though they want you to antagonise one another,' Brian said. 'That's what makes telly watchable,' Naga told them. 'But the good stuff makes it watchable as well. Thanks for bringing the good stuff.' Sioned revealed that said she and boyfriend Fin Gough took part in the BBC show thanks to her mother - who had suggested that she went travelling with her brother. 'I didn't think that would go well,' she admitted. The couple said that the show has transformed their lives. 'Our growth was very evident to the viewers watching,' she said. 'We lacked confidence before - now we just go for it with life a bit more.' 'We want to do bigger and better things and travel and see the world more,' Fin agreed.

Tom Fletcher forced to apologise for ‘insensitive' post about his flight after devastating Air India crash
TOM Fletcher has apologised after posting an "insensitive" Instagram photo after the fatal Air India crash. He deleted a post about flying a plane while listening to the Foo Fighters song Learn to Fly. 4 4 4 On Thursday it was revealed that an Air India plane burst into a fireball while carrying 242 people, including 53 Brits, flying to London Gatwick airport. A British man miraculously survived the crash after jumping off the flaming jet and was filmed walking away from the wreckage. After reading the reports, McFly singer Tom, 38, wrote: "Sorry, I've only just seen the terrible news about the Air India crash. "So awful. Had I known earlier, I obviously wouldn't have posted about my flight today. The former Strictly Come Dancing star continued: "I understand why that must have looked insensitive and have deleted it. Thanks for letting me know. "My whole heart goes out to everyone involved in the crash and all their friends & families." Tom got his license to fly in 2008 when he was just 23 years old. He previously said he would have been a pilot if he wasn't in McFly. Tom apologised after Mark Wright was slammed for moaning about leg room on his flight after the tragic Air India crash. The former Towie star, 38, posted a snap of himself with wife Michelle Keegan and baby Palma posing in front of a private plane, as he moaned about the leg room on standard jets. Mark Wright slammed for 'poor taste' post about planes as 265 killed in horror Air India crash Appearing completely oblivious to the day's events, Mark wrote alongside it: '1 day babe, for now we'll take row 26 with no extra leg room.' His followers were quick to point out his lack of sensitivity, with one person commenting: 'Prob not the best day to post this when so many people lost their lives on a plane.' A second said: 'Not really appropriate to put this up after today's plane crash.' While a third wrote: 'Poor taste given today's event.' And a fourth added: 'What a time to choose to post this.' Radio DJ Mark has since deleted the post and blamed it on an admin error. He wrote: "I apologise for a post I just put up on my page after today's heartbreaking events. "I have posts from a holiday that are on the scheduled setting, which go out on future days I have set them for which was done last week. It's a horrendous coincidence that today's post was on such a devastating day. "Once I logged in to my Instagram and realised the post had gone out, I immediately deleted. My heart goes out to everyone who has been effected from today. I'm sorry for this mistake and any offence caused." At least 265 people were killed - including those on the plane and on the ground - when the Air India flight crashed into a hostel seconds after take off. According to flight tracking website Flightradar, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner's final signal was received just seconds after take-off. This was last logged at 1:38pm local time - less than a minute after it started the journey. King Charles II said he was "desperately shocked" by Thursday's air crash in India, sending "prayers and deepest possible sympathies" to the families of those affected. "My wife and I have been desperately shocked by the terrible events in Ahmedabad this morning," the monarch wrote on Instagram, calling it a "heartbreaking and traumatic time".

‘Horrendous coincidence': Mark Wright sorry for post after Air India tragedy
Mark Wright, the former The Only Way is Essex star, has apologised for an 'inappropriate' Instagram post shared shortly after the Air India plane crash that killed over 250 people. The post, featuring Wright, his wife Michelle Keegan, and their baby in front of a private jet, complained about leg room on standard planes. Followers criticised the timing of the post, prompting Wright to remove it and explain it was pre-scheduled before the crash. Wright called it a 'horrendous coincidence' and apologised 'for this mistake and any offence caused'. The Air India flight crashed in Gujarat five minutes after takeoff, and a British national was the sole survivor. An investigation has been initiated with UK team involvement.
