Since her house was damaged by the missile strike, the OFW was transferred to a hotel in Tel Aviv.
The Philippine Embassy said it will send assistance and psychosocial support to support the OFW in the following days.
It also urged Filipinos in the affected areas to evacuate to shelters or other protected spaces whenever there is a missile alert to ensure their safety.
In a Reuters report, Iran and Israel targeted each other with missiles and airstrikes early on Saturday after Israel launched its biggest-ever air offensive against its longtime foe in a bid to prevent it from developing a nuclear weapon.
The attacks have resulted in at least two fatalities and dozens of wounded in Israel. —RF, GMA Integrated News

Trump vetoed Israeli plan to kill Iran's supreme leader, US officials say

US President Donald Trump attends a celebration of the Army's 250th birthday on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., June, 14, 2025. Doug Mills/ Pool via REUTERS WASHINGTON — US President Donald Trump vetoed an Israeli plan in recent days to kill Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, two US officials told Reuters on Sunday. "Have the Iranians killed an American yet? No. Until they do, we're not even talking about going after the political leadership," said one of the sources, a senior US administration official. The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said top US officials have been in constant communications with Israeli officials in the days since Israel launched a massive attack on Iran in a bid to halt its nuclear program. They said the Israelis reported that they had an opportunity to kill the top Iranian leader, but Trump waved them off of the plan. The officials would not say whether Trump himself delivered the message. But Trump has been in frequent communications with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. When asked about Reuters report, Netanyahu, in an interview on Sunday with Fox News Channel's "Special Report With Bret Baier," said: "There's so many false reports of conversations that never happened, and I'm not going to get into that." "But I can tell you, I think that we do what we need to do, we'll do what we need to do. And I think the United States knows what is good for the United States," Netanyahu said. Trump has been holding out hope for a resumption of US-Iranian negotiations over Tehran's nuclear program. Talks that had been scheduled for Sunday in Oman were canceled as a result of the strikes. Trump told Reuters on Friday that "we knew everything" about the Israeli strikes. — Reuters

Israel eases air raid warning, allows people to leave shelters

Israelis take cover in a public shelter during a missile attack on Israel from Iran, at Haifa, Israel, June 14, 2025. REUTERS/ Rami Shlush JERUSALEM, Undefined — The Israeli military said citizens could leave shelters after being told to take cover during a fresh barrage of Iranian missile attacks on Sunday. "Following the situational assessment, the Home Front Command published that it is now permitted to leave protected spaces in all areas across the country", the military said in a statement. The army had called on the population to take shelter after detecting missiles launched from Iran, and alert sirens had sounded in parts of the country. Israel launched an unprecedented attack on the Islamic republic Friday. Its strikes hit nuclear and military facilities, killed top commanders, nuclear scientists and dozens of civilians, and sought to destroy the country's defense capabilities. Iranian missile fire targeting Israel in response killed at least 10 people overnight, according to authorities, pushing the death toll up to 13 since Iran began its retaliatory strikes Friday, with 380 reported injured. Israeli attacks on Iran killed at least 128 people from Friday to Saturday, including children, Iranian media reported, citing the health ministry, with hundreds more wounded. — Agence France-Presse
