Hunter Biden lays into Democrats, Jake Tapper and George Clooney

Hunter Biden finally made news outside the MAGA mediasphere for something that's usually the work of Fox News and other deep state disseminators: He verbally bashed the Democratic Party, CNN's Jake Tapper, former Obama aides and even Hollywood's devastatingly handsome ambassador George Clooney.
President Biden's son, whose very name inspires a Pavlovian response among right-wing conspiracy theorists, appears to have pulled a page from the opposition's playbook when during two recent interviews he leaned into grievance politics, repeatedly hurled expletives and condemned those who 'did not remain loyal' to his father.
Hunter Biden's first round of interviews since the 2024 election started out tame enough when last week on a new podcast hosted by Jaime Harrison, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, he said that Democrats lost to Donald Trump because they abandoned his father. There was no 'grand conspiracy' to hide his father's health issues, he said. 'We lost the last election because we did not remain loyal to the leader of the party. That's my position. We had the advantage of incumbency, we had the advantage of an incredibly successful administration, and the Democratic Party literally melted down.'
Fair enough. Then it was on to Clooney, one of the first high-profile figures on the left to call for Biden to step aside from his reelection campaign after a disastrous debate performance. Hunter Biden disparagingly referred to the actor as 'a brand' and told Harrison, 'Do you think in Middle America, that voter in Green Bay, Wis., gives a s— what George Clooney thinks about who she should vote for?'
Then came the knockout punch. In a separate, three-hour-plus interview released Monday with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan, he said of the star: 'George Clooney is not a f— actor. He is a f—, I don't know what he is. He's a brand. … F— him and everybody around him.'
Hunter Biden also had some words for senior Biden aide Anita Dunn. 'The Anita Dunns of the world, who's made $40 [million], $50 million off the Democratic Party, they're all going to insert their judgment over a man who has figured out, unlike anybody else, how to get elected to the United States Senate over seven times, how to pass more legislation than any president in history, how to have a better midterm election than anyone in history and how to garner more votes than any president that has ever run.' Former Obama aide and political analyst David Axelrod was also on the list. He said Axelrod 'had one success in his political life, and that was Barack Obama, and that was because of Barack Obama.'
And if the above sentiments were attributed to the current president's sons, who've characterized the Democratic Party as Nazis and referred to those who were protesting immigration sweeps by the patently offensive term 'mongoloids'? Meh, it's just another Monday. But Hunter Biden, like most public-facing Democrats, is held to a different standard. When they go low, we go high. Remember that sage advice that worked for Democrats back in the late aughts and early 2010s but now sounds like advice pulled from a 1950s guide to etiquette? The younger Biden not only deviated from that lefty code but also mirrored his tormentors, then unleashed his ire onto his own party.
Hunter Biden's own reckless actions over the years made him grist for all manner of right-wing helmed investigations. Then there are the stupid conspiracies, whether it's the missing laptop or that mysterious bag of cocaine found in the White House. Hard to keep track, but the younger Biden went there during his recent interview. 'I have been clean and sober since June of 2019. I have not touched a drop of alcohol or a drug, and I'm incredibly proud of that,' he told Callaghan. 'And why would I bring cocaine into the White House and stick it into a cubby outside of the Situation Room in the West Wing?'
But he also attributed at least one recent alleged conspiracy to those outside the right-wing cabal or, more specifically, to Jake Tapper. The CNN anchor co-wrote 'Original Sin,' a provocative book that claimed President Biden's confidants worked to conceal his declining health from the public.
Hunter Biden argued that it was nonsense and that the 'ability to keep a secret in Washington is zero.' 'What sells, Jaime?' he asked Harrison. 'What sells is the idea of a conspiracy.' And the public spectacle of flaming your enemy's enemy.

Ted Cruz Is Weirdly Invested In The Backlash To Sydney Sweeney's Jeans Ad

Add Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) to the chorus of conservatives who are defending Sydney Sweeney amid heated backlash to her American Eagle campaign. On Tuesday, the Texas Republican offered a snide, politically charged take on the controversy on X, formerly Twitter. 'Wow. Now the crazy Left has come out against beautiful women,' Cruz wrote alongside a New York Post article about the campaign. 'I'm sure that will poll well...' He doubled down on his remarks while appearing on Fox News in a segment that aired later on Tuesday, using the Sweeney furor as an example of 'how extreme' he feels the Democratic Party has become. 'This week the Democrats have decided, with the Sydney Sweeney jeans ad, that they hate beautiful women,' he said. 'That's just a little nuts for them to say, 'I'm sorry, we're the Democrats. Beautiful women are no longer acceptable in our society.'' Sweeney, best known for her portrayal of Cassandra 'Cassie' Howard on HBO's 'Euphoria,' has faced a barrage of criticism this week following the release of her American Eagle ads, which play off the words 'genes' and 'jeans.' 'Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color,' the actor explains in one of the ads. 'My jeans are blue.' A narrator then reads the tagline: 'Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.' Though the ad seems to be an intended as an homage to Brooke Shields' 1980 Calvin Klein campaign ― also controversial for its time ― some fans on social media felt it contained white supremacist undertones. Watch one of Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle ads below. 'Having Sydney Sweeney talk about her genes/jeans is already a bad look for American Eagle, but calling her genes/jeans 'blue' takes it even further, hinting at 'blue blood,' a term historically tied to whiteness and aristocratic lineage,' the Instagram account Style Analytics wrote. 'It's a nod to eugenics, aligning the brand with the growing conservative/right-wing/white supremacy movement ... This is just one way brands have recently been attempting to plaicate to conservatives.' Many echoed those sentiments, including one TikTok user who called the ad 'what happens when you have a bunch of white folk who all look and think the same.' Added another on X: 'This is so Hitler like what.' Neither Sweeney nor American Eagle have yet to respond to the criticism over the campaign. Cruz, however, is among a growing number of conservatives, including White House Communications Director Steven Cheung and former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, in defending the ads. Related... Trump rips ‘second tier' Sen. Josh Hawley over his PELOSI Act congressional stock trading ban

President Trump lashed out at Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) Wednesday for forging ahead with his proposed ban on congressional stock trading, accusing the senator of enabling Democrats to target him. Hawley's Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments (PELOSI) Act cleared the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee in an 8–7 vote, with the Missouri Republican joining all Democrats. 'Very much like SABOTAGE! The Democrats, because of our tremendous ACHIEVEMENTS and SUCCESS, have been trying to 'Target' me for a long period of time, and they're using Josh Hawley, who I got elected TWICE, as a pawn to help them,' Trump groused on Truth Social. Advertisement 'I don't think real Republicans want to see their President, who has had unprecedented success, TARGETED, because of the 'whims' of a second-tier Senator named Josh Hawley!' Hawley chafed with Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), a key Trump ally during the committee's hearing earlier in the day Wednesday. 4 Sen. Josh Hawley banded together with Democrats to advance the PELOSI Act out of committee without the chairman's blessing. AP Advertisement 4 President Trump accused Sen. Josh Hawley of backstabbing him with the PELOSI Act. x/Acyn 'This idea that we are going to attack people because they make money is absolutely wrong,' Scott, the wealthiest member of the Senate, argued during the hearing. 'I think it's disgusting what's going on here. But I completely agree with you, we've got to stop people from trading stocks but this [bill] is way different.' Scott also asked how one could sell an illiquid asset under the Hawley proposal. Advertisement 'You're concerned about the illiquid asset provision? It's the same one you voted for last year,' Hawley shot back. The PELOSI Act restricts lawmakers from owning individual stocks or trading them. Due to opposition from Committee Chairman Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Hawley needed to get Democrats on board and reportedly agreed to tack on language ensuring that the president and vice president would face the ban as well. 4 Sen. 'I wonder why Hawley would pass a Bill that Nancy Pelosi is in absolute love with — He is playing right into the dirty hands of the Democrats. It's a great Bill for her, and her 'husband,' but so bad for our Country!' the president fumed on Truth Social. 'Why would one 'Republican,' Senator Josh Hawley from the Great State of Missouri, join with all of the Democrats to block a Review, sponsored by Senator Rick Scott, and with the support of almost all other Republicans, of Nancy Pelosi's Stock Trading over the last 25 years.' Hours before the Truth Social post, Trump conveyed open-mindedness to the proposal but cautioned that he would need to dive deeper into the details of it. 'I like it conceptually and you know Nancy Pelosi became rich by having inside information. She made a fortune with her husband, and I think that's disgraceful,' he told reporters Wednesday. 'I study these things really carefully, and this just happened. So I'll take a look at it.' 'What I do think is Nancy Pelosi should be investigated.' Paul Pelosi, the California Democrat's venture capitalist husband, has amassed a fortune through investments he's made over the decades. Pelosi's estimated net worth is $262 million, according to Quiver Quantitative. Trump goes off on Josh Hawley over insider trading bill

President Trump on Wednesday went off on one his closest allies in Congress, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) over voting in committee on a bill that would ban stock trading by lawmakers, presidents and vice presidents, arguing that Hawley teamed up with Democrats to advance the measure. The bill would ban congressional lawmakers and their spouses from trading stocks as well as presidents and vice presidents, but the latter would only apply to future administrations. Still, Trump, in a social media post, went off on Hawley claiming that he was being used by Democrats to target the president. He also questioned Hawley being the lone Republican on the panel to vote with Democrats 8-7 to advance the bill out of committee. 'Why would one 'Republican,' Senator Josh Hawley from the Great State of Missouri, join with all of the Democrats to block a Review, sponsored by Senator Rick Scott, and with the support of almost all other Republicans, of Nancy Pelosi's Stock Trading over the last 25 years. The information was inappropriately released just minutes before the Vote — Very much like SABOTAGE!' Trump said on Truth Social. It was a change of tune from earlier in the day when Trump was asked what he thought of the bill, to which he replied he liked it 'conceptually' before launching into an attack on former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) over unfounded claims of insider trading. 'I'll take a look at it. But conceptually I like it,' Trump said. 'And what I do think is Nancy Pelosi should be investigated because what she has the highest return of anybody practically in the history of Wall Street save a few. And how did that happen?' Pelosi has come under attack from Republicans for stock trading done by her husband, though there is no evidence of wrongdoing. The former Speaker shortly after Trump's remarks and the Senate Committee vote was taken expressed support for the measure. Before the vote, Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) pressed Hawley to work with him to improve the bill. But, Hawley and Sen. Gary Peters (D-Mich.) expanded the ban to apply to the president and vice president for future administration before the vote, while also opting to drop the name that referred to Pelosi from the bill name. Trump, in lashing out at Hawley, said the Missouri Republican was playing into Democrats' 'dirty hands.' 'The Democrats, because of our tremendous ACHIEVEMENTS and SUCCESS, have been trying to 'Target' me for a long period of time, and they're using Josh Hawley, who I got elected TWICE, as a pawn to help them,' he said. 'I wonder why Hawley would pass a Bill that Nancy Pelosi is in absolute love with — He is playing right into the dirty hands of the Democrats. It's a great Bill for her, and her 'husband,' but so bad for our Country!' 'I don't think real Republicans want to see their President, who has had unprecedented success, TARGETED, because of the 'whims' of a second-tier Senator named Josh Hawley!' he said.
