Christian Pulisic Rejects Big Opportunity To Play Alongside Cristiano Ronaldo: Report
Pulisic is reportedly keen on representing Milan heading into the upcoming season. He has flourished with the team since joining from Chelsea in July 2023, recording 32 goals and 23 assists in 100 matches across all tournaments.
Al Nassr would be hoping to get a deal over the line in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus was appointed on Tuesday by Al Nassr, where he will link up with Ronaldo, who signed a new two-year deal with the Saudi club in June.
The 70-year-old Jesus was sacked by Saudi rivals Al Hilal in May after their Asian Champions League semi-final exit.
Jesus had been in charge since 2023 in what was his second spell with Al Hilal. A long managerial career has taken place in his native Portugal, with Benfica and Sporting Lisbon and he has coached in Brazil and Turkey as well.
Ronaldo, 40, inked a new contract until 2027 with Al Nassr last month, ending speculation over a potential departure.

Palhinha back in Premier League as Spurs sign him on loan from Bayern
Tottenham has bolstered its midfield ahead of its return to the Champions League by signing Portugal international Jao Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich with an option to buy. The defensive midfielder returns to London and the Premier League a year after leaving Fulham for a much-hyped but largely unsuccessful move to Bayern. He has three years left on his Bayern contract. Bayern and Tottenham both confirmed the move Sunday. Palhinha offers a similar defensive midfield option to Spurs' Rodrigo Bentancur or Yves Bissouma. Expectations for Palhinha at Bayern were high but his time spent there had ended with the Portuguese midfielder spending most of the Club World Cup on the bench. Palhinha was a key target for Bayern in 2023, when then-coach Thomas Tuchel wanted to shore up Bayern's midfield. Palhinha even came to Munich for a medical but Bayern's deal with Fulham collapsed at the last moment. When Bayern finally did sign Palhinha for a reported fee of nearly 50 million euros (then $54.2 million) a year later, Vincent Kompany was the new coach. Palhinha's season was affected by injuries or illness but, even when he was fit, Kompany often preferred youngster Aleksandar Pavlovic in the midfield instead. Palhinha only started 10 of the 25 games he played for Bayern in all competitions and was an unused substitute in four of Bayern's five games at the Club World Cup. It's the second time this off-season that Tottenham has signed a player who was out of favor at Bayern after making forward Mathys Tel's loan move permanent.

Tyson Fury Delivers A Definitive 'Never' On Usyk Trilogy
Despite speculation of a comeback, Tyson Fury insists he's done with boxing, closing a storied career. In December 2024, Tyson Fury went toe-to-toe with Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch that held the boxing world's breath. Fury controlled much of the action with precise counterpunches and strategic pressure – only for Usyk to rally late, scoring a dramatic ninth-round knockdown that many observers argued went uncounted. The split-decision verdict fell in Usyk's favor, and Fury then stunned fans by announcing his retirement. Yet whispers of a comeback persisted. On July 2, 2025, Saudi adviser Turki Alalshikh fueled speculation on X: 'The Gypsy King will be back!!! I talked with him, and I have his word to have him in Riyadh Season in 2026 … We have a rabbit to hunt!" The 'rabbit" reference unmistakably pointed to Usyk, whom Fury had previously labeled as such. Following Usyk's emphatic knockout of Daniel Dubois, Fury escalated the drama during a social-media appearance, asserting he 'won both prior fights and remains the only man capable of beating Usyk." Yet when sought clarity, Fury turned icy. Asked if he would ever grace the ring again, he offered a curt verdict: 'Never, I'm too old. Boxing is a young man's game," Fury was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. Even his first triumph over Usyk in February shattered the Ukrainian's unblemished record. Now at 36, Fury insists the fire that once drove him through brutal training camps and marquee encounters has dimmed. 'I'm moving on," he told reporters. 'Boxing was my life, but it's time to embrace the next chapter." For fight promoters and pay-per-view aficionados, the Fury–Usyk saga has been a goldmine. The prospect of a trilogy promised unparalleled excitement and revenue. Yet the Gypsy King's stance is unmistakable: 'I've been there, done that, and won it all," he declared. 'People can say whatever they like, but I'm done. My legacy speaks for itself." With Fury's door firmly closed, the heavyweight landscape turns to Usyk – whose path may lead to fresh rivals or even a shift back to cruiserweight. But for Tyson Fury, the final bell has sounded. His reign concludes not with a trilogy finale, but with a definitive farewell. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
