Legendary Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne has died at the age of 76, it's been confirmed.
A statement released by his family says: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."
Osbourne's death comes less than three weeks after he played his farewell 'Back to the Beginning' show at Villa Park, on 5 July.
Alongside guitarist Tony Iommi, drummer Bill Ward and bassist Geezer Butler, Osbourne formed Black Sabbath in 1968. The band came to be recognised as heavy metal pioneers for landmark songs such as Paranoid, War Pigs and Iron Man.
Osbourne left the band in 1979 and pursued a successful solo career, later finding fame as a reality TV star alongside his family. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019.

‘Black Mirror' Is Becoming A Graphic Novel — Get A Free Sneak Peek

In "Black Mirror" episode USS Callister, spaceship captain Robert Daly may have a darker side than it originally appears. Twisted Comics Black Mirror fans will soon be able to experience the dystopian world of their favorite satirical sci-fi anthology series in graphic-novel form, and publisher Twisted Comics is giving a free preview of what's to come. On Thursday, the U.K.-based indie publisher released on gaming platform Steam the first 20 pages of the inaugural issue in the comics series. The issue is an adaptation of season 4 episode USS Callister , which routinely ranks as one of the most beloved Black Mirror installments. In the episode, the co-founder of an immersive online multiplayer game called Infinity, feeling underappreciated by co-workers, simulates a Star Trek –style space adventure within the game where he serves as the fearless captain on a quest to defeat an archenemy. Naturally, this William Shatner-like leader has a dark, vengeful side. This is Black Mirror after all. The first issue in Twisted Comics' first graphic-novel adaptation of "Black Mirror" episodes publishes later this year. Twisted Comics Twisted Comics is known for its best-selling series of psychological thrillers Twisted Dark, among other offerings . That a publisher with 'twisted' in its name is behind the Black Mirror graphic novels feels fitting given how macabre and transgressive the show can get as it explores the unintended consequences of our reliance on digital technology and how it exposes human flaws. Twisted Comics founder and editor-in-chief Neil Gibson wrote the USS Callister issue, which is illustrated by artist Silvano Beltramo, with a cover by Butcher Billy. 'It's great to see the best stories retold in different ways,' Gibson, a longtime comics lover, said over Zoom from London. 'It's my mission in life to get more people reading and creating comics.' Gibson is an avowed Black Mirror fan who has seen all but one episode since TV writer Charlie Brooker's series debuted on British public broadcasting channel 4 in 2011 — it gained a global cult following once it started streaming on Netflix in 2016. Next up in the Twisted Comics graphic-novel series will be an adaptation of the moving season 3 episode San Junipero, about a town where older and deceased people can live forever in virtual reality as their younger selves. That one's expected in 2026, with the USS Callister available for preorder now, and expected to publish later this year. An early look at USS Callister, the first issue in a new graphic-novel series based on sci-fi anthology series "Black Mirror." Twisted Comics Gibson wouldn't say exactly how many Black Mirror episodes overall will get the comics treatment, only that it will be 'many.' Twisted Comics is selecting episodes for adaptation by reviewing episode rankings for the most celebrated, he said. 'With my stories, the aim is always to entertain, educate and surprise, and Black Mirror does that. It makes you think, and some of the stories stay with people for days.' Twisted Comics secured the rights to adapt Black Mirror from Banijay Rights, which represents the Black Mirror brand. The early snippet of USS Callister is available on Steam via Inky Pen , an all-you-can-read comic subscription service that's available on the Nintendo Switch and just launched on Steam. Twisted Comics is also currently running a Kickstarter campaign for the USS Callister issue that offers perks such as the chance to be drawn in the actual comic alongside the spaceship's crew. The campaign has already exceeded its goal by more than $38,000 dollars, with six days to go, proving no amount of dystopian bleakness will deter true Black Mirror fans. The visual style on the comic alternates between the world of the gaming company and the world of the fictional spaceship. Twisted Comics

Princess Beatrice Spotted Out with Her Whole Family (Yes, Baby Athena Too)

As a self-proclaimed part-time royal watcher, I can confirm there are few things more exciting than a surprise royal sighting. Sure, I'm in it for the outfits (guilty) and I definitely spend too much time imagining what their side conversations are about—but it's always a treat. And when there's a royal baby involved? Even better. Thanks to Princess Beatrice, we just got a rare glimpse of exactly that. The royal made a surprise appearance at the victory parade for England's women's soccer team, the Lionesses, and it turned out to be a full family affair. Joining her were husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, their three-year-old daughter Sienna, Edo's eight-year-old son Christopher Woolf (affectionately known as 'Wolfie') and the newest member of the family, baby Athena, seven-months-old. In a sweet moment captured by cameras, Beatrice, hair pulled back in a relaxed ponytail, was seen gently stroking baby Athena's face as the little one snuggled in a baby carrier on dad Edo's chest. JUSTIN TALLIS/AFP via Getty Images Princess Beatrice and Edo welcomed Athena in January. In March, Beatrice opened up about her daughter's early birth in a deeply personal essay for British Vogue, offering rare insight into her pregnancy and the emotional rollercoaster of welcoming a baby born prematurely. Beatrice revealed that Athena 'needed close monitoring' throughout the pregnancy, and that she and Edo 'understood we needed to prepare for an early arrival.' 'What I learned in this process has been humbling,' she wrote. 'Understanding so much more about our remarkable human bodies, but also, more than anything, what we don't know.' She went on to describe sleepless nights filled with anxiety: 'I lay awake in the weeks leading up to birth, trying to monitor each movement of the baby in my tummy and asking myself a thousand times, 'What if this happens, or what if that happens?'' Karwai Tang/WireImage Fortunately, Athena arrived healthy—just a few weeks early—and Beatrice said it took 'more than a few weeks for the tears of relief to dry.' Describing her baby as 'so tiny' with 'feet like the paws of a bunny,' she also reflected on how the experience left her determined to raise awareness around complications related to preterm birth. In an unexpected appearance by Princess Beatrice, eldest daughter of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, the royal was spotted at a launch event for United Arab Emirate's largest bank, FAB (First Abu Dhabi Bank), as they opened a new London branch earlier this month. But as surprised as we were to see her in an Instagram post shared by the bank, it was her figure-flattering ME+EM dress that most stood out—especially since it's a brand long beloved by the Princess of Wales. Beatrice's style—the 'Silk-Blend Swirling Leaf Print Midi Tea Dress'—is still in stock, $595; $417. (It's also on sale!) But we especially love her choice to pair the floral look with a structured blazer with a bit of length. It's the perfect 'uniform' for transitional dressing as we wrap up summer and head into fall. In fact, the brand suggests pairing it with a similar blazer in a navy hue on their website. (We love how that gives it a hint of moodiness as autumn arrives.)As for Kate Middleton, she's been a longtime fan of ME+EM, a British-based brand best known for their tailored fits and contemporary styles. She's also not the only royal to reach for it: Everyone from Queen Camilla to Duchess Sophie relies on it. (Royal Ascot in particular often feels like a runway for the brand.)Beatrice's latest appearance comes on the heels of a busy summer for the royal: Just last week, she celebrated her 37th birthday—her first since welcoming her youngest daughter, Athena, in January. She's also made regular appearances at Wimbledon and Royal Ascot and even joined King Charles for a special gala event on behalf of the Elephant Family. Her royal diary is certainly on overdrive. As for her latest look? Nab it before it sells out. 1. ME+EM Silk-Blend Swirling Leaf Print Midi Tea Dress ME+EM Chic and fall-friendly. $595 ; $417 at ME+EM 2.
