Milan have finalised their agreement with Young Boys, so Zachary Athekame is expected to arrive in Italy for his medical on Thursday.
According to multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com, his plane will land on Milanese soil tomorrow at 11.00 local time.
The cost of the operation is expected to be a total of €10m, plus giving Young Boys a 10 per cent cut of the future sale fee.

The Switzerland Under-21 international will turn 21 in December and only joined Young Boys from Neuchatel Xamax in 2024.
Athekame plays as a right-back and reportedly received offers from several other clubs too, but had his heart set on a move to Milan.
It has been a busy time for the Rossoneri, who over the last 48 hours have sold Malick Thiaw to Newcastle United for €40m and purchased Koni De Winter from Genoa for €20m including add-ons.

Barcelona star left in limbo as he waits to discover if Catalan club will look to sell him before summer transfer deadline

Pena's future is uncertain due to a transfer logjam His departure depends on Szczesny Pena may be forced to wait until the end of the transfer window Follow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱 WHAT HAPPENED? Pena is in a state of uncertainty as he awaits a decision on his future ahead of the transfer deadline. According to a report from Football Espana, the Spaniard's potential departure is contingent on the club's ability to officially register Wojciech Szczesny as a La Liga player, with missing paperwork causing a final blockage. The situation is complicated by the recent arrival of Joan Garcia as the new first-choice goalkeeper. THE BIGGER PICTURE Pena's desire to leave Barcelona stems from his demotion in the pecking order. He was dropped by Hansi Flick in favour of Szczesny earlier in 2025, and the subsequent signing of Joan Garcia has further reduced his chances of playing time. While Marc-Andre ter Stegen has resolved his issue with the club over releasing his medical reports, which allowed Garcia to be registered, he remains ahead of Pena in the long-term plans once he returns from injury. Pena has received two offers from Turkish clubs, and Italian side Como, managed by Cesc Fabregas, have also shown interest. However, delays from Barcelona have reportedly led Como to consider other options. DID YOU KNOW? Pena had a brief loan spell at Galatasaray in 2022, where he famously impressed in a Europa League last-16 tie against his parent club, Barcelona. WHAT NEXT FOR INAKI PENA? Pena's immediate future hinges on the finalising of Szczesny's registration. If the Polish goalkeeper is registered, Pena will likely be granted permission to leave before the transfer window closes on September 1. He may need to wait until the final days to secure a move away from the club. Until then, he will remain with the squad and could feature on the bench, as he did in Barcelona's opening-day victory at Mallorca.

Sancho hesitates, Roma consider Jonathan Rowe

Jadon Sancho does not appear entirely convinced of Roma as his next destination. The Manchester United player, born in 2000, doesn't seem convinced about a move to the Giallorossi as he does not wish to reduce his salary and favors playing in the Champions League this season. As a result, the capital club, writes La Gazzetta dello Sport, has reportedly turned to Jonathan Rowe, the English winger from Marseille who is at odds with De Zerbi's team. Massara, an expert on French football, knows him well and the profile fits well within the Giallorossi's possibilities. Important news is expected in the next 48 hours: if Sancho doesn't show signs of definitive openness, the sporting director will strongly focus on Rowe to avoid the competition of Premier League clubs.
