Hotel manager jailed for rape after guest woke up to find him licking her feet

Metro23-04-2025

A hotel manager who raped a guest and sexually assaulted three others has been jailed for 10 years.
Ahmed Fahmy, 46, was found to have used his position as a hotel worker in Barnet guilty to enter guests rooms without permission before launching his attacks.
Two women came forward to police after they had become separated from their group of friends on a night out.
They paid Fahmy for another room, but one of the women woke up to find Fahmy licking her feet.
Later, two of the group returned from the night out and also misplaced their room key.
Instead of offering her a new room, Fahmy coerced one woman into sharing his room, where he raped her.

During the investigation, officers then found his attacks date back from as early as 2008.
They linked him to two other non-recent sexual assaults, which largely involved Fahmy touching women's feet.
Fahmy has been jailed for 10 years, with another three on extended licence, meaning he'll spend at least a decade behind bars.
The Met launched its investigation into Fahmy in 2024, after two women reported being raped at the hotel where he worked in West Heath Drive, Barnet.
He worked at a number of hotels across London, and the investigation uncovered allegations from 2008 until last year.
During the investigation detectives linked him to two other non-recent sexual assaults, which largely centred on Fahmy touching women's feet.
These offences took place in a hotel on Western Gateway, E16, and at a residential address in Alliance Close, Wembley.
The Met wants to speak to any other potential victims, or anyone who met Fahmy while he was working at various hotels.
Fahmy abused the trust of his employers and hotel guests to manipulate and gain access to the guest rooms where women were staying, even encouraging some to stay in his room.
He is known to have worked in at least five hotels in the following locations – though the force warn this list may not be exhaustive: West Heath Drive in Barnet
Royal Victoria Dock in E16
Alliance Close in Wembley
South Way in Wembley
Bridge in Marlow
Because of his work in hotels, detectives fear some of his victims could be from outside of London, including from other countries – but all potential victims are encouraged to contact the force.
Survivors can contact the police by reporting online, or by emailing
NWMailbox.Sapphire@met.police.uk who will arrange contact with them.
They can also call 0208 733 6311 between 7am and 11pm, Monday to Friday.
But detectives fear Fahmy's offending is much more widespread.
Detective Constable James Gomm from the Metropolitan Police, who led the investigation, said: 'Fahmy used manipulation to abuse his position as a hotel worker and get close to his victims.
'He demonstrated a clear pattern of offending and abuse.
'I would also like to commend the victim-survivors who have shared their experience to date for the bravery they have shown throughout the investigation and the court proceedings.
'We believe there may be other victims and I would encourage anyone affected to get in contact with us – you will be listened to and receive specialist support and guidance, not only from the police but independent charities and services.'

Hollyoaks confirms who killed Dennis Savage - and it wasn't Clare or Banks

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Tuesday's (June 10) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm. An unexpected twist in the tale of who killed Dennis Savage (Joe Tracini) has confirmed that the murderer is none other than – drum roll please – Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield). Dennis, who was a fan-favourite, featured on-screen between 2011 and 2014, with a brief comeback 2018. However, according to Dodger Savage (Danny Mac), who staged a comeback earlier this year after a decade, Dennis was killed after he was injured in a hit-and run, with Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) driving the car in question. Though he is believed to have survived the incident, Dennis subsequently went missing, with Dodger believing that DI Banks (Drew Cain) and wife Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix) were to blame for his murder. The criminal power couple, as fans know, adopted Tori (Harriet O'Shea), who was previously in the care of Dennis. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Feeling some semblance of guilt for her role in the trafficking operation, Grace Black (Tamara Wall) opted to give Tori back to the Blakes. Tori's arrival at the flat put Jez on edge, particularly because of the USB file containing recordings of his therapy sessions with Tommy Odenkirk (Brandon Fellows). It subsequently came to light that the reason for his caginess was due to the fact that he killed Dennis – which was confirmed via a close-up of the book he keeps track of his victims in, with a picture of Dennis included. Liberty (Jessamy Stoddart), meanwhile, was suspicious of Jez's behaviour and thus started to investigate, getting dangerously close to the truth. Jez, however, covered his tracks by claiming that – on the therapy recordings – he confessed his true love for Lib. More Trending Taken aback, Lib was in shock, but passion soon followed, with her and Jez sleeping together. The Blake family dynasty continues to get even more complicated! A star cast leads in true crime story The Gold, airing on BBC1 tonight

The Gold on BBC1 returns for a second series, following the aftermath of the shocking real life Brink's-Mat robbery on 1983 Inspired by real events and several conspiracy theories, The Gold (on BBC1 tonight, June 10th, at 9pm) is a thrilling drama about the largest robbery in world history. The theft of £26 million worth of gold bullion from the Brink's-Mat depot in Heathrow in 1983 sparked a decades-long chain of events. Series two, starring Hugh Bonneville, Tom Cullen, Stefanie Martini, Stephen Campbell Moore, Sam Spruell and Tom Hughes, started last night, to pick up the story. After several years of investigation and multiple court cases and convictions, the police realised they had only ever been on the trail of half of the Brink's-Mat gold. The opening credits announce: 'This is our story of the other half.' It follows the conviction of some of those involved in the theft and handling the gold as well as the criminal fortune the money created. ‌ ‌ Last night's episode saw Miller (Spruell) contact financial advisor Douglas Baxter (Joshua McGuire), having heard that he could clean money - so he gave him £10 million to invest. However, it seems that greedy Baxter decided to blow some of the cash on a Rolex and several bottles of champagne. Baxter also tries to use his new job to kickstart a new business. In tonight's second episode, as the police investigation continues, it becomes a tense, high-stakes journey into international money laundering and organised crime. The detectives embark on a series of dramatic manhunts as they desperately try to solve the longest and most expensive investigation in the history of the Metropolitan Police. *The Gold continues on BBC1 tonight at 9pm There's plenty more on TV tonight - here's the best of the rest.. This charming little series follows the endearing pair as they reminisce and also look to the future of their farm, aided by long time vet and friend Peter Wright, who describes them as 'like two smitten teenagers'. Jean says: 'When I first came it was all farm, but now it's nothing but houses and we're the only ones keeping farming going. There'll be no green acres left.' After researching the history of their Thirsk farm, they discover the land dates back to 1706, so they wonder if any of the spirits of Stoneybrough remain. Paranormal investigators are called in for a ghost hunt. In other news, calves Toffee and Apple get pneumonia and Jean wants a tattoo. East 17 icon feels 'absolutely amazing' as he's baptised by The Krays' henchman

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The prospect of being held underwater by one of The Krays' henchmen is not one most people would jump at — unless you're East 17's Terry Coldwell. Terry, 50, gladly put himself in Chris Lambrianou's arms to be baptised at the River Church in London's East End. Seven born-again Christians stepped into the water with the 83-year-old former gangster, who spent part of his life as a member of 'The Firm'. The Firm was the nickname given to Ronnie and Reggie Kray's gang, based in Bethnal Green, London, throughout the 50s and 60s. A video shared by the Daily Mail showed Terry, speaking with Chris and the church's pastor, Dave Gill, as he stood in waist-high water for the ceremony. 'I've just been baptised and I feel absolutely amazing,' the Stay Another Day hitmaker told the Daily Mail. 'The service has been phenomenal today.' Terry added: 'I just feel great. I feel it was a long time coming and I'm really glad I did it.' A baptism is usually performed by a priest or bishop, but there are no restrictions on this in the Bible. East 17 rose to fame in the 90s, consisting of Terry, Tony Mortimer, Brian Harvey and John Hendy, with over 18million albums worldwide. The lineup has changed over the years, with Terry remaining constant, although he recently shared that he doubted a reunion was likely. Meanwhile, Chris had a very different career and would probably rather have avoided the spotlight entirely. He was involved in the dumping of Jack 'The Hat' McVitie's body after he was stabbed by Reggie in 1967. During his prison sentence after being arrested for armed robbery, Chris found God and moved away from his life of crime. Of the baptism, he shared: ''Baptising so many people gives me a spiritual high. It's like you cannot buy the feeling I have. More Trending 'That can only come from Jesus Christ. Trust in him and he will never fail you.' He also set up a charity with a former Metropolitan police detective, Jon Wedger, to help provide work for young people and keep them from turning to crime. Jon attended the Sunday service along with some close friends and said: 'I found the service to be very moving. I've know Terry for a few years and his faith has got stronger and stronger and I think it's been niggling away at him to get baptised for a while now. 'Myself and Chris have worked together for a while now. He is a man who has turned his back on crime and devoted himself to God and is making a difference now in people's lives and helping youngsters avoid making the same mistakes he did.' Got a story?
