#SHOWBIZ: The definition of beauty is Bella Astillah, says Syed Saddiq

KUALA LUMPUR: The potent chemistry between singer and actress Bella Astillah and Muar member of parliament, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, continues to attract public attention.
In a humourous TikTok video uploaded by the 31-year-old artiste yesterday, the 33-year-old politician was seen accepting Bella's challenge to apply makeup to her face as part of a session to promote a cosmetics brand.
"Because you're like a cat, I have to apply this foundation under your chin too," teased Syed Saddiq to Bella's horror as she exclaimed that he had applied the wrong shade.
He replied with, "You look beautiful no matter what shade you wear."
Later, when Bella, whose full name is Dayang Nabellah Awang Astillah, asked him what his definition of beauty was, Syed Saddiq simply replied: "The definition of beauty... Bella Astillah."
His seemingly spontaneous answer drew lots of positive responses from netizens who liked what they saw.
The video has already been viewed over 1.5 million times and received over 100,000 likes.
This follows a previous viral video that saw netizens advising the lovely couple, dubbed BASS, to quickly get married after they were seen attending a recent Aidilfitri open house by CTDK Holdings and Yayasan Nurjiwa together in the capital.
Syed Saddiq and Bella Astillah's friendship blossomed after they collaborated as ambassadors for a local clothing brand.
The politician subsequently appeared in Bella's music video, "Tapi Bukan Denganmu," and the two even climbed to the peak of Mount Kinabalu in Sabah together.
Despite their frequent public appearances together, neither one has confirmed the nature of their relationship.
Syed Saddiq is currently single, while Bella is a single mother of two, Mohamed Ayden Adrean, 8, and Ara Adreanna, 5, following her divorce on June 13 last year.

Saidah Kamarudin cancels wedding, claims ex has only RM500 in his bank account

Malaysian actress Saidah Kamarudin called off her wedding with fellow actor Muhammad Muntazar Ghufran in October 2024. Photos: Saidah Kamarudin/Instagram, mStar Malaysian actress Saidah Kamarudin has opened up about the reason behind her decision to end her engagement to fellow actor Muhammad Muntazar Ghufran in October last year. The former couple got engaged in May 2024, after a year of dating. In a recent interview with mStar, The Star 's Malay-language news portal, Saidah, 29, cited financial instability as one of the main reasons she called off her wedding. According to her, Muntazar, 22, had only RM500 in his bank account. 'How can you take care of someone with that amount? You shouldn't be marrying. You should be looking for a job or continuing your studies,' she lamented. The actress further alleged that after the breakup, Muntazar hacked into her TikTok account and posted fake comments under her name to damage her reputation. One of the comments reportedly said she had not moved on from the split and was also taking pills due to stress. It's understood that Saidah filed a report at the Setia Alam police station in Shah Alam, Selangor, on May 31. 'When Muntazar and I were still together, we'd share the passwords to our social media accounts. After we broke up, I changed my passwords and removed all access. 'He wasn't like this before and only began showing his true colours after the split,' she added. Meanwhile, Muntazar has refuted Saidah's claims that he couldn't afford to proceed with their wedding. In a separate interview with mStar, the actor said he has additional funds invested in unit trusts. 'I already told Saidah about it, but she told me that's investment savings and not actual money. 'If it's true that I have only RM500 in savings, how is it possible for me to pay close to RM1,000 monthly for my car while also giving my family around RM1,000?" he questioned.

Malaysian entrepreneur apologises for spending ‘only' RM1mil on daughter's 11th birthday

Besides a celebration that featured balloons and cakes, Farhana Zahra, who runs a beauty and dietary supplement business, also gave her daughter extravagant gifts. Among them were an Apple computer, a Rolex watch, and a Toyota Vellfire multi-purpose vehicle. 'Forgive mama, this is all I could afford to give you. I only spent RM1 million for this birthday,' she posted in a June 3 TikTok video, which has since gone viral with over 2.2 million views. She also wished that her daughter's dream of becoming a businesswoman would come true. The video opens with her, her husband and three daughters all dressed in matching black outfits descending a grand staircase. They step onto a stage outside the house where they and the assembled guests sing Happy Birthday to her eldest daughter, whom she called Yaya, before the unveiling of the gifts. Farhana said Yaya's wishes are granted on an almost daily basis, leaving her unsure of what else to give the little girl, adding that she hoped the 'little gifts' would make her happy. The video and Farhana's use of the word 'only' to describe the amount she spent, did not go down well with netizens, who accused her of flaunting her wealth and trying to gain attention. 'Not to be rude, but trying very hard to show off,' a netizen with the handle Aiman said. Another netizen, Mono, said: 'That's not the right way to raise a daughter... I think you're overreacting and trying too hard.' Others noted the impracticality of the gifts, especially the car, as the girl is still too young to drive. '(I) need to know the logic of giving cars to a child... They can't even drive, no they're not even going to drive knowing they can afford (to hire) drivers,' said a netizen with the handle Njwa. In another follow-up video, Farhana also surprised her child's former driver with a luxury car as a token of appreciation. - The Straits Times/ANN

#SHOWBIZ: Jefri Nichol shares how he and Ameera Khan 'met'

KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian actor Jefri Nichol has recently revealed the origins of his relationship with his girlfriend, social media influencer Ameera Khan. In a video re-posted by a TikTok user, Jefri was seen recounting their story, seemingly during a podcast session. The 26-year-old artiste explained that he first came across Ameera's name in 2021, when she was listed among the "Top 10 Most Beautiful Women in Malaysia" on the X app. "Then I stalked her Instagram and soon we started chatting," he shared. Given the long-distance nature of their early interactions, their connection was maintained primarily through social media and telephone calls. "We only met in 2023," Jefri stated, adding that by January 2024, they were officially a couple.
