Man caught on two Oakville doorbell cameras allegedly committing indecent act arrested

Police are searching for a man who committed indecent acts on doorsteps in Oakville. (Credit: Halton Regional Police) A man wanted after he was caught on two doorbell cameras allegedly committing an indecent act in Oakville earlier this week has been arrested. Halton Regional Police said investigators were able to identify the suspect after issuing a news release about the incidents that occurred on Monday. The man walked up to the front door of the homes on Pelee Boulevard and rang the doorbell, and when no one answered, he allegedly committed an indecent act while facing the camera. The suspect, 25-year-old Luke Hird of no fixed address, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of indecent act. He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing. Police said the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 905-825-4777 ext. 2216 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

(CTV Atlantic/Avery MacRae) The Saint John Police Force is looking for a man who allegedly dragged a senior several feet as he stole his car earlier this month. Police say the male suspect approached an 84-year-old in a 2014 silver Honda Accord at the Lancaster Mall parking lot around 3:45 p.m. Saturday and told him he had a flat tire The senior got out of his vehicle to check the tire and the suspect allegedly got into the driver's seat and pulled away. 'The victim was injured as he attempted to stop the suspect by grabbing a hold of the car door and was drug several feet before letting go,' a news release from police says. The suspect is described as being 30-to-35 years old with scruff on his face and a tanned complexion. He is roughly five-foot-seven and weighs 180 pounds. The four-door vehicle has a New Brunswick licence plate JGV066. Man wanted after allegedly blowing an airhorn in woman's ear in Newmarket

York police are looking a man after a woman was assaulted while riding a bike along a Newmarket trail. York police are looking to identify a suspect after a woman was assaulted while riding a bike along a Newmarket trail earlier this week. Police say on Wednesday, at around 9:30 a.m., the victim was cycling on a trail in the area of Timothy and Prospect streets. As she rode past the suspect, he allegedly pointed an airhorn near her ear and set it off, which police say resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to the victim. Police are searching for a white male, approximately 40 years old, six feet two inches tall, with a medium build, and brown and grey hair. He was last seen wearing a green hat, a black t-shirt with a motorcycle logo, grey shorts, and black shoes. Investigators say a number of people were in the area at the time and are encouraging any witnesses to come forward.
