Called 'Vanderpump Rules,' the show would follow the personal and professional lives of the young staff members at SUR. The two decided to give it a shot, unaware that one day, Ms. Doute's boyfriend at the time, Tom Sandoval, would become the most hated man in the United States, and Ms. Doute would be publicly fired for racist behavior.
'The worst-case scenario is that it doesn't do well and no one ever hears about it again,' Ms. Doute, now 42, said of her decision to join the show during a recent interview. 'Our IMDB pages are not through the roof right now. I think we'll be OK.'
After agreeing to join the cast, the two immediately went home and binge-watched MTV's 'The Hills,' one of the most popular reality TV shows of the time. 'We wanted to learn how to, quote, unquote, do reality TV,' Ms. Doute said.
Turns out, she did not need the help. With 'Vanderpump,' Ms. Doute quickly became one of the network's biggest reality stars — for better or worse. Since debuting on Bravo screens more than a decade ago, she has been an insatiable vortex for drama, earning the nickname 'Crazy Kristen' for her drunken antics (i.e. throwing a drink on James Kennedy, a castmate), battling with gravity (i.e. tripping over a coffee table on a girls' trip to Solvang, Calif.), and embarking on tireless quests for the truth — or at least her truth. (Her other cast-given nickname is 'Detective Doute.')

Barbenheimer's Epic Double Feature Happened 2 Years Ago, And I'm Worried I'll Never Get That Same Experience

Back in 2023, there was a time when it felt as if all was right with the world, and that, my friends, was Barbenheimer. While the 2025 movie schedule has been filled to the brim with great releases, I really don't think we're going to get another time like this, and that worries me. It's been two years. I know, it's hard to believe it, but it has, and it honestly feels like a lifetime at this point. We have had some major releases come out since then, such as the latest Superman, which turned me into a fan. Or we could point to Wicked, which took over the world for a month or two. However, nothing has hit quite as hard as when these two films – Barbie and Oppenheimer – were released simultaneously. And honestly, I don't think we're going to get another instance like this, at least for a long time. Barbenheimer Was Perfectly Timed During The Summer I think a big reason why Barbenheimer was such a success was that both of these releases were planned at the perfect time – right in the middle of summer. I always feel that the most successful blockbusters tend to happen at this point, and it's clear both of these, by their box office amounts, did incredibly well. Barbie earned well over $1 billion, and Oppenheimer came really close to the mark, as did a rated-R movie. However, because many people had a day off or two during this time, seeing the double feature was that much easier. The Amount Of Marketing For Both Was Done Amazingly Well And Spawned An Era Unlike Any Other Another significant factor contributing to this success is that the marketing teams were on point. We all already knew Christopher Nolan's best films. We were all already aware of the pull Barbie had as a toy. However, the fact that these two were eventually marketed together as a double feature paved the way for its success. They had their marketing – it was practically pink mania for months with Barbie. However, I think it worked best when people combined the films into one prominent double feature, allowing fans to dress up for each and go out with their friends, making it a whole event rather than just an outing or a date. That's the key in marketing here. The Fanbases Somehow Collided In A Way Unlike Ever Before, And I Don't Think We'll Get That Again The beauty of this is that Barbenheimer is special. Something like this has happened before, where two totally conflicting genres released major films on the same day – The Dark Knight and Mamma Mia!, a movie I rewatch all the time – but that was never as grand an event. The same thing happened with the release of Wicked and Gladiator, and how marketing teams tried to make it the new Barbenheimer, but it just didn't work – even if both films did very well. I think Barbenheimer is a one-and-done, and that does sadden me. There was something so…magical about this time, as cheesy as that sounds. The idea of two completely different fan bases coming together to celebrate films, in two totally different styles, is something that I will always love and never forget. The hype that led up to this made it even more enjoyable, and attending the double feature with my friends and a crowd of people who just loved movies was unlike any other. Maybe one day we'll get another Barbenheimer. But you know what? I'm happy with it living in my memory, even if I feel that we're never going to get another time like this one. Bradshaw, a four-time Super Bowl champion, made it clear that he wasn't a big fan of Rodgers, who signed with his Pittsburgh Steelers. Bradshaw said earlier this year that he wished Rodgers would just stay in California and "chew" on some bark. "That's a joke. That to me is just a joke," Bradshaw said of Pittsburgh's interest in Rodgers on 103.7 The Buzz back in May. "What are you gonna do? Bring him in for one year, are you kidding me? "That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there." Rodgers, meanwhile, responded to Bradshaw at training camp over the weekend. His response was pretty classy. "I've known Terry for a long time, being a part of FOX," Rodgers said, speaking to NFL Network's Kyle Brandt. "Terry's a legend. He's an absolute legend. He won four Super Bowls. He's had a legendary career in the media. "But Terry, like a lot of people, doesn't know me. So he's got an idea of what he thinks about me based on what I've done, the documentary, what I've said, darkness retreat, whatever the hell you want to talk about." While Rodgers and Bradshaw might have a lot in common on the football field, they've said pretty different things politically over the years. Bradshaw announced that he left the Republican Party, choosing to be an independent. He criticized President Trump, too. 'I've been a Republican, but now I'm a registered independent. I don't want to alienate anyone, and the minute you say, 'I'm a Democrat' or 'I'm Republican,' you're kicking off the other side. I want the best person [in the White House], and I'll pick the one who's most like the way I feel,' he announced. Bradshaw took issue with how President Trump criticized NFL players for kneeling for the anthem. "This is America. If our country stands for anything, folks, it's freedom. People died for that freedom. I'm not sure if our President understands those rights—that every American has the right to speak out and to protest. Believe me, these athletes do love this great country of ours," Bradshaw stated. He added: "Personally, I think our President should concentrate on North Korea and healthcare rather than ripping into athletes and the NFL." Rodgers, meanwhile, has shown his support for President Trump over the years, even posting a photo of himself shaking hands with POTUS on social media. He said it was "priceless." Rodgers has said that he would like to get to know Bradshaw, so hopefully that'll happen before the 2025 NFL season. But the duo might have some disagreements in the world of politics. 'Spider-Man' and 'Fantastic Four' Could Finally Team Up in New Marvel Crossover
Johnny Storm wanted it, and now Marvel fans may get it. Joseph Quinn, who plays Johnny Storm in the new Fantastic Four: First Steps movie, has expressed his desire to team up with Tom Holland's Spider-Man. During a prior interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Quinn responded to a question about the comic book friendship between Storm and Peter Parker. 'That pairing makes sense to me and I think he's brilliant and I'm up for it,' Quinn said. 'I think we'd have a laugh. I've never met Tom and I think he's brilliant; his Peter Parker is the best one ever, I think he's our best-ever Spider-Man, so why not? Let's do it, get it moving.' While Quinn's comments drew plenty of attention, Marvel president Kevin Feige's recent roundtable interview also brought mention of a potential Johnny Storm-Peter Parker collaboration. As ScreenRant revealed, Feige called it a "blue sky dream" but one that's now "in the realm of possibility." "We didn't do chemistry reads, but whenever we cast it is with that blue sky dream in mind of one day being able to do that," Feige said. "And that's a great example. That's one of the key relationships in Marvel comics is Johnny Storm and Peter Parker." "And we've never been able to come close to it before and now it is in the realm of possibility. That's exciting. That gets me up in the morning." Holland first portrayed Spider-Man in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War. He was then featured in his own solo film, Spider-Man: Homecoming, in 2017. Holland has played the iconic superhero role in several films, including the standalone Spider-Man movies and The Avengers.
