Is Kim Kardashian a Lawyer Now? What We Know
Kim Kardashian, the reality TV star and business mogul, has celebrated "finally" finishing her Law Office Study Program with her friends and family. But does this mean she is a lawyer now?
Kardashian first began pursuing a nontraditional legal path in 2019. She has worked on criminal justice reform and clemency cases and has become a prominent advocate for prison reform. She has pushed for the release of nonviolent offenders and also met with Gypsy Rose Blanchard in prison, as well as Lyle and Erik Menendez, for whom she called for an early release from their life sentences.
Kardashian is not yet a lawyer. But she is a step closer.
The 44-year-old shared that she has graduated from her four-year Law Office Study Program. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other work commitments, it took her six years rather than four years to earn and complete it.
Kardashian is a mother to four children and owns multiple businesses, including Skims.
People confirmed that Kardashian has taken her Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE), a test required for bar admission in several U.S. jurisdictions. She previously passed the California First-Year Law Students' Exam, which is also known as the "baby bar," on her fourth attempt in 2021.
In order to become a licensed lawyer, Kardashian would need to pass the notoriously difficult California bar exam.
Kardashian marked the milestone with a private celebration at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She shared a clip of herself donning a graduation cap, with the text overlay "I finally graduated law school after 6 years!!!"
Jessica Jackson, a lawyer who has mentored Kardashian in the program, attended the celebration. She said Kardashian's journey was "one of the most inspiring legal journeys we've ever seen."
Jackson said that Kardashian spent "18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year for six straight years" on the program. Under California law, students can study under a lawyer or a judge as an alternative to law school.
The celebration had many details alluding to Kardashian's studies: her flashcards were used to create placemats, and she had latte art in the shape of graduation caps.
Her son, Psalm West, wore a suit inspired by Kardashian's late father, Robert Kardashian, a successful attorney. Her daughter, Chicago West, wore a suit inspired by an outfit Kim Kardashian wore when she hosted a marketing talk at Harvard Business School.
Jessica Jackson, a lawyer who mentored Kim Kardashian in the program, said in a video shared on Instagram: "Six years ago, Kim Kardashian walked into this program with nothing but a fierce desire to fight for justice...No law school lectures, no ivory tower shortcuts, just determination. And a mountain of case law books to read."
Kardashian may go on to take the bar exam in due course.

Review: ‘The Life of Chuck' is Stephen King at his worst
'The Life of Chuck' is so earnest and sincerely made that it will probably be mistaken for a good movie by most people. Viewers may assume they're not enjoying it because there's something wrong with them — when really the movie is a badly arranged, scattered and mostly dull assemblage of phony merchandise. Based on a novella by Stephen King, the movie is told in three acts, shown in reverse chronological order. Unfortunately, the 'third' act, which is presented first, is the only section that's reasonably interesting. The 'second' act is merely watchable; and the 'first' and final act, is too long, plodding and sentimental. 'The Life of Chuck' begins as a seeming commentary on everything the world has experienced since COVID, though to King's credit, his novella was written pre-COVID and published in 2020. It presents a world in which every system, natural and man-made, is falling apart. And just like what happened with COVID, the shift from normal life to extreme-crisis mode happens in a brief span of time. Chiwetel Ejiofor plays a schoolteacher trying to maintain a routine, while sink holes are opening up in the ground, the internet is failing, the power grid is collapsing and the night sky is looking strange. To add to the weirdness, there are posters and TV commercials everywhere celebrating a fellow named Chuck (Tom Hiddleston), though nobody knows who Chuck is. Curiously, though we soon find out everything about Chuck (lots more than we want to know, in fact), the movie never tells us the one thing that we do want to know about him, which is why his face is everywhere as the world is coming to an end. There is a dramaturgical lesson to be gleaned from 'The Life of Chuck': If you begin with the apocalypse, everything that follows is an anti-climax. It would be easier to care about Chuck's concerns if something cataclysmic weren't happening to everybody else. But that's just how it is with all of us and the apocalypse. It feels personal. The second section contains the movie's one genuinely good scene, in which Chuck, a buttoned-down man of about 40, starts dancing with polish and abandon to the rhythms provided by a street busker playing the drums. Hiddleston moves beautifully, and it's an altogether lovely set piece. But the final section goes back in time to Chuck's boyhood, and the movie degenerates into a sappy evocation of the past, with a very young Chuck living with his drunken grandfather (Mark Hamill) and learning how to dance. Really? Director and co-screenwriter Mike Flanagan must be a very nice guy, to assume he can involve an audience with such trivia, after they've more or less witnessed their own destruction. All the advertising for 'The Life of Chuck' has referred to it as 'life-affirming,' but this may be akin to referring to someone old as 'ageless' or dead as 'immortal' — that is, a comforting lie. The movie is maudlin and pessimistic and features a mildly sardonic voiceover narration by Nick Offerman that only serves to distance us from the action. Offerman is a good, appealing and versatile actor, but the use of his voice in narration is already becoming a cliché, like the voice of Morgan Freeman in documentaries. With all this in mind, there's no way to recommend 'The Life of Chuck.' However, if you do decide to see it, here's some advice: Watch the entire first section, not as though it's actually happening but as though it's a projection of Chuck's imagination. That would at least explain the primacy of Chuck in the movie's cosmic scheme and also reconcile some of the movie's chronological inconsistencies. Watching the movie in that way might also make the story more comprehensible and its emphases more justified. Yet it won't ameliorate the movie's dramatic inertia or, even worse, its unrelenting air of self-satisfied wistfulness.

11 Times Celebrity Kids Called Out Their Parents
It goes without saying that children can be very unpredictable and very unfiltered. Over the years, we've witnessed a bunch of candid moments from celebrity kids — whether it be sharing family gossip unprovoked or flipping off paparazzi. Here's a look back at some of these moments: 1. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's eldest son, Saint West, has been filmed flipping off paparazzi — and fans — who have filmed him out in public. Kim appeared to scold Saint for swearing at the paps. 2. Kourtney Kardashian's son Reign Disick, whom she shares with her ex Scott Disick, has also been filmed flipping off cameras while out in public. 3. Speaking of Reign, he has repeatedly begged his mom to stop making out with her now-husband, Travis Barker, during scenes on The Kardashians. 4. Saint once revealed that he often tells Kim she means 'nothing' to him. He said on Mother's Day in 2023, 'I know I'm rude to you a lot, I say you're nothing to me, but you mean the world to me,' before later adding, 'I love you more than anything.' 5. Back in 2020, Kourtney's eldest son, Mason Disick, famously went live on TikTok and spilled a bunch of tea about the KarJenners — including the status of Kylie Jenner's then-relationship with Travis Scott. 6. Kim and Ye's eldest daughter, North West, went live on TikTok in 2021 and caught Kim totally off-guard. The Skims mogul seemingly freaked out, quickly instructing her daughter to cut the cameras. 7. Beyoncé and Jay-Z's eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, went viral after she was caught gesturing with her hands and rolling her eyes at her parents at the 2018 Grammys. 8. Kourtney and Scott's daughter, Penelope Disick, once called out her dad's habit of dating 'much younger' women. 9. North West once called out Kim for pretending to be an Olivia Rodrigo fan. When Kim claimed in an Instagram video that she 'loved' the hit song 'Drivers License,' North interjected: 'You never listen to it.' 10. And North also once called out Kim for talking differently on camera. 11. Finally, David and Victoria Beckham's daughter, Harper, once called her mom's fashion 'unacceptable' as she reacted to some of her past looks as a Spice Girl. Can you think of any other examples? Let me know in the comments.

Iron Maiden Tribute Band, Maiden United, Releases Heavy Metal Cover of Adele's Skyfall
What if Iron Maiden had recorded the hit James Bond theme song? LOS ANGELES, June 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Maiden United, a Los Angeles tribute to Iron Maiden, has released their new EP entitled Agent 666 featuring a heavy metal cover of Adele's Skyfall, the hit theme song from the 2012 James Bond film. The blistering, dramatic interpretation of the tune was produced by the band's bassist, Danny Knapp. "The idea to reimagine Skyfall was born from a group brainstorm about how to do something that other tribute bands haven't," says Rich Abronson, Maiden United's founder. "We love it when metal bands cover hit pop songs. It's a great way to build on our catalog, and the challenge was loads of fun." Danny Knapp continues, "Skyfall has all the ingredients to be a metal song: drama, complexity, and cool, musical changes. Plus, we wanted to maintain a UK pop-culture theme with Iron Maiden as arguably the greatest British metal band, James Bond as one of the most famous British characters, and Adele as one of the most iconic modern British vocalists." Founded in 2021 in Los Angeles as the music scene emerged from the COVID pandemic, Maiden United has established itself as the West Coast's top Iron Maiden tribute. With over 3 hours of music in the band's repertoire, Maiden United has thrilled Iron Maiden fans with faithful renditions of such hits as The Trooper, Run to the Hills, 2 Minutes to Midnight, and Wasted Years. The band's Scottish vocalist, Paul Duncan, has a style reminiscent of all 3 Iron Maiden singers including Paul Di'Anno, Bruce Dickinson, and Blaze Bayley. Maiden United has released their EP on music streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music with a companion music video on YouTube. The release includes a cover of Iron Maiden's Murders in The Rue Morgue performed as a duet with Jen Taylor Warren, the original founding vocalist of The Iron Maidens, the popular all-female tribute to Iron Maiden. The EP also includes live recordings of Maiden United performances. Maiden United is Paul Duncan on vocals, Rich Abronson and Scott Ramsay on guitar, Danny Knapp on bass, and Adrian Aguilar on drums.
