Pink Floyd always finds space on music charts in the United Kingdom, and that may always be the case. The rock group remains so beloved that it's hard to imagine a time when interest in its catalog disappears completely. Some weeks are more impressive than others for the group, as in certain moments, just one title breaks onto a few rankings, while in others — like this week — multiple projects not only land on the charts, but return to competitive rosters.
Animals and Wish You Were Here Return
Pink Floyd sees two full-lengths return to the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. Both Animals and Wish You Were Here reenter the 40-spot ranking, which focuses exclusively on the bestselling titles in those genres. Animals comes back at No. 27, while Wish You Were Here returns at No. 38.
Pink Floyd Claims 10% of the Chart
The band fills four spaces on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart this frame, claiming 10% of all available real estate. Alongside Animals and Wish You Were Here, Live at Pompeii - MCMLXXII and The Dark Side of the Moon both surge back into the top 10. The latter two titles each jump three positions, landing at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively.
The Dark Side of the Moon Returns to Several Lists
The Dark Side of the Moon makes something of a notable comeback this week. What is often regarded as not just the band's most successful release, but one of the bestselling rock efforts of all time, breaks back onto the Official Album Downloads chart at No. 84. The album is also climbing on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums lists, leaping nearly 30 spots to appear at Nos. 64 and 67, respectively.
Live at Pompeii Remains Pink Floyd's Winner
While The Dark Side of the Moon finds space on four tallies, Live at Pompeii appears on only three, but it ranks higher on all of them than its predecessor. The recently-released live set continues as the group's top-performing title across the U.K. this frame.

Lindsay Lohan Trades Her Pink Slip for a Lavender Gown at the Freakier Friday Premiere

Leave it to the master of method dressing, Andrew Mukamal, to fashion the ultimate nostalgia-fueled press tour for Lindsay Lohan. Today, at the London premiere of Freakier Friday, Lohan paid homage to her wedding guest dress from Freaky Friday—a lavender, lace-trimmed dress embellished with delicate floral appliques and sequins. Lohan and Mukamal gave the noughties dress a very 2025 update, tapping Ludovic de Saint Sernin to help them update the look. Samir Hussein De Saint Sernin fashioned a lavender dress in his signature chainmail, swapping the spaghetti straps for a rhinestone-encrusted halter neck that scooped under the bust to create an empire waist. The designer also nodded to the original lace detailing with silver rhinestone trompe l'oeil florals along the bodice and a matching trim along the hemline.

New James Bond Movie Will Be Written by Creator of ‘Peaky Blinders'

The director came first, and now it's the screenwriter. MGM just announced that Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, has been hired to write the next James Bond movie, which will be directed by Denis Villeneuve. News of Knight's hiring was first reported by Deadline before being confirmed by the official 007 account. According to the trade, since Villeneuve's hiring, producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman (who are shepherding the franchise) have been focusing on finding the right writer. Several people met on the project, and Knight was their choice, but he had to be approved by Villeneuve. The pair met last week, just as Villeneuve got to work on Dune: Part Three, and he gave the seal of approval. If Steven Knight sounds familiar, there are a few reasons. Of course, the biggest is that he created the massive period gangster show, Peaky Blinders, which could speak a bit to how he'd handle a spy film like Bond. On the film side, he's been doing mostly prestige scripts for films such as Eastern Promises, The Hundred Foot Journey, Allied, Spencer, and Maria. He also wrote and directed Serenity, but not the sci-fi Joss Whedon film. He did the infamous one starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. So they haven't all been winners. Knight was also one of the many writers who took a crack at Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's Rey-centric Star Wars movie. So he's flirted with big franchises before but really gets a major one here. Oh, and don't confuse him with Steven DeKnight, who did Spartacus and Netflix's Daredevil. Different guys. So, what's next for this movie? Well, with Villeneuve off making Dune, Knight will work on the script with the understanding that, once the director starts to wrap up one movie, the script will be in solid shape so he can move to this movie. That means casting for the main character, which is clearly the most exciting thing about this whole process, wouldn't be until sometime next year. Denis Villeneuve is directing a James Bond script by Steven Knight, produced by Amy Pascal and David Heyman. Not a bad lineup, and things are just getting started. What do you think? Are Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton Married?

Zawe Ashton is clearing up any speculation surrounding her marital status with her longtime love, Tom Hiddleston. As she stepped in as a guest host for the BBC's Miss Me? podcast amid Lily Allen's absence on July 31, Zawe got candid about whether she's married to Tom after she referred to him as her husband during a previous interview. 'We've been engaged for a long time, and I think there have been publications that have named us husband and wife already,' she explained, sharing that their family members awkwardly confronted them about a wedding that never happened. She continued, 'There's some toxic paragraphs that were thrown my way like, 'Okay, no invite, whatever.' It's like, 'No, no, no, it didn't happen.' We didn't do it in secret. It's just like a semantic thing.' Her clarification comes after she referred to Tom as her husband during an interview with Vogue ahead of The Life of Chuck premiere at SXSW London in June. During that same interview, she revealed that she and Tom were expecting their second child together. (They welcomed their first child in October 2022.) According to The Marvels star, she and Tom actually call each other husband and wife in private (despite only being engaged), so it's understandably why she'd slip up in a conversation about him. And in case you were wondering, the couple is in no rush to tie the knot. Per Zawe, she considers their engagement a sort of 'training period' for marriage, which she finds 'scary.' 'People kind of rush through engagement, and I'm like, 'Engagement is really useful.' Why is everyone like, 'I'm getting engaged to get married?'' she told Lily's co-host, Miquita Oliver. 'Be engaged. Work things out. Because that's like a big— that's a big yes that opens up a whole new tapestry of understanding between you, between you and each other's families, because you are saying yes to each other's [families].' Zawe added, 'So, I've loved engagement, because you're learning. You're like, 'What is this yes gonna be later?' This is like a notch up from just being partners, boyfriend and girlfriend.' Married or not, we simply love to see this super couple winning.
