Built as an authentic continuation model of the 1969 Le Mans-winning No. 6 GT40, this modern recreation mirrors the specifications of the original in both spirit and engineering. The GT40 famously conquered Porsche's dominance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, piloted by racing greats Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver. Chassis 1075, carrying the backing of Gulf Oil, went on to become one of the most revered race cars in the world.
This Superformance example features the legendary Gulf Oil livery—a brilliant blue and orange color scheme accented by orange wheels, Gulf roundels, and vintage racing decals. Not just for show, the vehicle is powered by a 427 cubic-inch Windsor-based stroker V8 with Weber carburetors and silver powder-coated headers, offering a visceral driving experience that honors its race-bred lineage.
Inside, the GT40 is outfitted with period-correct details including a Moto-Lita steering wheel, Smith gauges, and Alcantara racing seats with silver rivets. A Gurney bubble, originally developed to accommodate taller drivers like Dan Gurney, adds to the authenticity.
Modern engineering elements such as Bilstein coil-over shocks, independent suspension, and vented Wilwood disc brakes make this GT40 both track-capable and street-legal, while amenities like air conditioning and a heater add comfort to its performance pedigree.
Adding to its historical significance, the car also honors Pittsburgh's role in GT40 history, as Gulf Oil—formerly headquartered in the city—was instrumental in funding the original race program through its partnership with JW Automotive.
For collectors and fans of motorsport's golden era, this giveaway offers more than just a car—it's a chance to own a rolling tribute to one of racing's most iconic moments.

He is also the only driver in the Craftsman Truck Series to win back-to-back titles. His 23-year partnership with Menards is the longest driver/sponsor relationship in NASCAR history. By the end of the season, he is projected to have more than 560 consecutive career starts. Crafton is at the top of series history in wins with 15, 328 top-10 finishes, 16 poles, and 2,716laps led. "This is so much fun racing with this group," Majeski said after his championship win. "So proud to have the opportunity to drive these great race trucks. There's a lot of times in my career where this looks like a far dream, and [team owners] Duke and Rhonda [Thorson] really gave me my third opportunity after I had two opportunities that failed. I can't thank them enough. "It's been a long road here. These people behind me, everybody at Ford, really gave me another opportunity when my career looked like it could have ended, and they brought me on as an engineer in 2021 with a few races and turned into a full-time deal. "We made our first Championship 4 in '22, and now we're sitting here as champions." Now, Majeski steps into some big shoes with the No. 88 car. For more NASCAR news, head on over to Newsweek Sports.

Denny Hamlin Shares that Kyle Busch Door-Slammed Him at Richmond, Hit ‘Everything'

Richard Childress Racing had an eventful Cook Out 400, with Austin Dillon winning the race and Kyle Busch causing the big one. Not only did Busch's car take out Chase Briscoe and Chase Elliott, but he also apparently got into Denny Hamlin. In the 'Actions Detrimental' episode recapping the Cook Out 400, Hamlin shared that Busch door-slammed him during one of the cautions when the No. 8 was warming up his tires. Hamlin knows all of the hits are unintentional, but he wondered what's going on with Busch. 'I was going to text him (Kyle Busch) and say, 'Are you ok?'. It was so weird. We were under caution and I felt, BOOM, I'm like 'What the hell?'. I guess he was warming his tires up and he just door-slammed the s*** out of me. He's hitting everything…He just wiped out a few cars and then the 9 was coming by and he clipped him on the way out.' The No. 8 car then drove into the No. 19 to get past it. As the multi-car wreck unfolded behind him, Busch came down and unintentionally hooked Chase Elliott, causing the No. 9 car to have a head-on collision with the outside wall. It was Elliott's first DNF of the season. 'Obviously, I saw them crashing and we were all just stacking up trying to get stopped and then after the wreck was over, I thought we were done wrecking and was just trying to squeak by. Guess somebody didn't know I was down there. Kyle just didn't know I was to the left.' He also had an issue on pit road, getting into an awkward spot in his pit box that forced him to back up to exit. Busch is now on the verge of going two consecutive regular seasons without a victory, with his last Cup Series win happening on June 4, 2023. He's also faring poorly in the NASCAR standings this season, dropping even further back as of late with a 20.75 average finishing position in the last four races.
