"In 2019, because of
Modi sahab
I said goodbye to politics forever...Jal, jungle, zameen, paryavaran, pahad mera in 4-5 cheezo mein bhaut shauk tha. (water, forest, land, environment, mountains, in these four-five things, I had a lot of interest, I realised whatever changes I wanted to bring, have been made by Modiji. Especially with the theme of 'One Earth, One Family, One Future', he brought all the citizens together to fight against all the odds," Yadav told ANI.
Despite an interest in politics, Yadav distanced himself to focus more on his acting career.

" It's difficult to do both jobs (acting and politics) together. Both require proper time and attention...Also, 'Kala' mera pehla pyaar hai (Art is my first love). I feel more comfortable there," he shared.
Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, and Urmila Matondkar also tested political waters but later decided to move away.
Nepotism in Bollywood has long been a topic of heated debate. Actor Rajpal Yadav recently addressed the issue and said that the success of actors depends on their talent.
In an interview with ANI, Rajpal Yadav said it may be possible to get an initial break in Bollywood because of connections, but success depends on inherent talent and the response of the audience.
"There is no nepotism. I want to speak very honestly. Nepotism agar hota to Shah Rukh Khan sahab kaise hote, Rajpal Yadav kaise hote, Paresh Rawal kaise hote, Anupam Kher sahab kaise hote, Akshay Kumar sahab kaise hote, Johny Lever sahab kaise hote, Sanjeev Kumar sahab kaise hote, Rajesh Khanna sahab kaise hote, Dharmendra sahab kaise hote. (If there was nepotism, how would there be Shah Rukh Khan? How would there be Rajpal Yadav be? How would there be Paresh Rawal? How would there be Anupam Kher? How would there be Akshay Kumar? How would there be Johny Lever? How would there be Sanjeev Kumar? How would there be Rajesh Khanna? How would there be Dharmendra?)"

Jammu Kashmir: PM Modi To Inaugurate Chenab Bridge, Flag Off Vande Bharat On June 6
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to flag off the Vande Bharat Express between Katra and Srinagar on June 6, marking the completion of the Katra-Sangaldan rail link project. The new route includes the Chenab Bridge, the world's highest railway bridge, making it a historic milestone for Indian Railways. The inauguration has sparked excitement among residents in the region. Speaking to ANI, Abdul Azeez Chandel said, "It will be very convenient if the train service begins here. We are very thankful to the government for working on this. It gives great comfort to the common people." Kesar Singh, another local, recalled the area's past and noted the positive change. "I am very happy the train services started here. Earlier, the situation was bad here because of militancy. But now everything is good here. Nobody thought that the train would come here." He added, "The train will prove to be very convenient for the people. I applaud PM Modi for doing Operation Sindoor. He gave Pakistan a much-needed response." Chaudhary Ghulam Hussain urged for more development, "We have been waiting for the train from Katra to arrive as soon as possible for a long time. We want our people to benefit from it. We need such projects in Gulmarg, Srinagar, and Pahalgam." Hussain said that the expansion will bring employment opportunities for locals. "If it is brought on the tourism map, it would be very good for us and the people because it would increase our employment opportunities for our children," he said. Another local, Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, added, "We had no hope that the train would run. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi made this real. It is a matter of happiness because it can connect us with the rest of India. It was a dream for us, but PM Modi did this in reality." Meanwhile, security measures have been tightened at Udhampur Railway Station before the Prime Minister's visit. The completion of this link not only boosts regional connectivity but also integrates Jammu and Kashmir more closely with the national railway grid.

British MP Bob Blackman urges UK govt to stand with India against terrorism
'This week, I met a cross-party delegation of Indian MPs. We discussed the fragile truce between India and Pakistan, at risk of being broken by further terrorist attacks. As India seeks deeper security ties with the West, I urged the Govt to stand with India against terrorism," said Blackman on X read more British MP Bob Blackman has reiterated his support for India and called on the Keir Starmer-led UK government to stand resolutely with New Delhi in its fight against terrorism. Blackman, who had previously backed India's 'Operation Sindoor' and criticised Pakistan as a 'failed state" for its alleged support of terrorism, made these remarks while speaking in Parliament. Later, he also shared the clip of his speech in Parliament on X, and wrote, 'This week, I met a cross-party delegation of Indian MPs. We discussed the fragile truce between India and Pakistan, at risk of being broken by further terrorist attacks. As India seeks deeper security ties with the West, I urged the Govt to stand with India against terrorism. — Bob Blackman (@BobBlackman) June 5, 2025 A delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad is visiting Europe as part of India's diplomatic outreach following the recent terrorist attack in J&K's Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists On Tuesday, Blackman had strongly criticised Pakistan, calling it a 'failed state' and questioning whether 'democracy or generals' were truly in control in Islamabad. Speaking to ANI after meeting the Indian delegation in London, Blackman urged the international community to support India in its fight against terrorism. He accused Pakistan of fostering terrorism on Indian soil and condemned its continued illegal occupation of parts of Jammu and Kashmir. 'Pakistan is a failed state. We don't have democracy in Pakistan. We have the people of parts of Pakistan, who are suffering under Pakistani military rule. So who's in charge? Is it the democracy or the Generals? And it's quite clear that terrorism is encouraged from Pakistan into sovereign India,' Blackman had said. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD With inputs from agencies

BJP should learn environment protection from SP: Akhilesh
On World Environment Day, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday said the ruling party in Uttar Pradesh should learn from his party about protecting the environment and cleaning rivers. 'The SP government had taken a big initiative in environment protection by planting a record number of trees in Bundelkhand. Janeshwar Mishra Park built in Lucknow on 376 acres of land is a living example of biodiversity. Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Park and Janeshwar Mishra Park have trees and plants that give oxygen. An example of cleaning of rivers is Gomti Riverfront where there is a lot of activity even today in the morning and evening,' Yadav said in a statement. He was the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh from 2012-2017. 'The BJP government has neither any plan for development nor any vision for the safety of public life. Today, forest wealth is getting destroyed, rivers are drying up, ponds are vanishing. Life on earth is in danger due to global warming,' the SP chief alleged. 'The existence of more than 100 small and tributary rivers in Uttar Pradesh is in danger. Thousands of fish have been found dead in the Yamuna in Baghpat. The Gomti in Lucknow is also covered with water hyacinth. Fish and other aquatic animals are dying here too due to lack of oxygen,' Yadav further alleged. 'As far as environmental protection is concerned, the BJP government does not give any importance to it. Our forest wealth is decreasing every year. Tree plantation has been made a mere formality. It is becoming difficult to achieve the target of adequate greenery,' he alleged.
