Vijay Deverakonda and Bhagyashri Borse visit Tirupati temple ahead of Kingdom's release. Watch the video of their spiritual stop before the film hits theatres.
As the countdown begins for Kingdom, Vijay Deverakonda's much-awaited action spectacle set to hit theatres on July 31, 2025, the actor sought divine blessings at the Tirupati temple. A video circulating online shows Deverakonda dressed in a traditional white mundu and shirt, joined by co-star Bhagyashri Borse, who kept it elegant in a simple saree. The two were surrounded by fans and paparazzi as they exited the temple premises.
The visit comes shortly after reports confirmed Vijay was hospitalized due to dengue. Thankfully, he made a swift recovery and has now jumped straight into full-fledged promotions for Kingdom.
Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna, often linked to Vijay, took to social media to show her support and admiration. Sharing a heartfelt note, she wrote, 'Vijay Deverakonda, I always keep telling you—you are something else! One day I wish I learn my craft so well that I can do even 50% of what you do. You are just… something else."
Kingdom is a Telugu-language action drama directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, known for the critically acclaimed Jersey. The film follows the story of an undercover spy torn between familial loyalty and national duty. Tasked with eliminating a criminal empire led by his own brother Siva, Vijay's character must rise to become a leader for the people, even if it means battling blood ties.
Starring Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead and Satyadev in a pivotal supporting role, Kingdom also marks music director Anirudh Ravichander's first collaboration with Deverakonda, reuniting with Tinnanuri after Jersey.
As the release date nears, excitement for Kingdom is hitting fever pitch, with fans eager to see Vijay return to action mode. Beyond this, the actor also has VD14 and SVC59 lined up, keeping his plate full well into 2026.

‘Kingdom'review: Delivers a powerful cinematic experience

Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Satya Dev, is the latest Telugu action drama helmed by Jersey director GowtamTinnanuri. Released amidst huge expectations, let's see how it fares at box-office. Story: Set in the early 1990s, the story follows constable Soori (Vijay Deverakonda), who is on a mission to track down his missing brother, Shiva (Satya Dev). Discovering that Shiva is now a key player in a smuggling cartel in Sri Lanka, Soori goes undercover to bring him back. As he gets deeper into the gang's inner circle, Soori faces tough moral dilemmas — torn between duty and familial love. The narrative unfolds as the brothers confront their past, their choices, and each other, leading to a climactic resolution. Performances: Vijay Deverakonda shines in a restrained role, successfully portraying the quiet turmoil of a man caught between professional loyalty and personal bonds. His performance brings authenticity to the film. Satya Dev, while competent, is held back by underwritten material that limits the emotional potential of his character. The chemistry between the two leads is palpable, though not fully explored. Venkitesh as Murugan leaves a decent impression despite limited screen time. BhagyashriBorse appears in a grounded role, but her character lacks narrative impact. Technicalities: Film director GowtamThinnanuri made a successful attempt in blending an emotional story of brotherhood with gritty action set in the 1990s. Visually, Kingdom stands tall. The cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T. John is immersive, especially during the action set pieces. Anirudh Ravichander's background score supports the tone but doesn't elevate it memorably. Editing by Naveen Nooli could have been sharper, especially in the sluggish second half. The film is well-produced, with solid action choreography and location work. Analysis: Kingdom is a commendable blend of emotion and action. GowtamTinnanuri's direction brings out the emotional conflict at the heart of the story, and his world-building makes the narrative immersive. The film's core theme — the bond between brothers — is subtly yet powerfully handled. While some arcs hint at more in future installments, the current story feels satisfying and complete. Unlike many genre films, Kingdomdoesn't sacrifice emotional integrity for action — it strikes a fine balance that's rare. With impactful performances, gripping visuals, and an emotionally resonant storyline, Kingdom stands out as a strong action-drama. Vijay Deverakonda's composed presence and GowtamTinnanuri's assured direction make it a compelling watch. It may start slow, but Kingdom ultimately delivers a powerful cinematic experience that stays with you. Rating: 3/5

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Box Office: Pawan Kalyan starrer crawls to 100 crore worldwide in 7 days

Telugu film Hari Hara Veera Mallu has pretty much exhausted its box office run within its first week. The Pawan Kalyan starrer has grossed Rs. 87.50 crore approx at the Indian box office in seven days, while another Rs. 13.50 crore (USD 1.60 million) has come from overseas markets, pushing its worldwide box office tally just over Rs. 100 crore mark. The film was dead on arrival on its first day, with the reception it received. The corpse twitched a bit on Sunday with collections surprisingly showing a surge in Andhra Pradesh, but that was too little too late. On Monday, the film crashed to paltry collections and now with the release of Kingdom, it's pretty much out of cinemas. The Day wise Box Office Collections of Hari Hara Veera Mallu in India are as follows: Hari Hara Veera Mallu is yet another box office turkey delivered by Pawan Kalyan, who is arguably the biggest star in the Telugu states but hasn't delivered a box office winner in more than a decade. There was a Bheemla Nayak, which did decently well, but was unlucky to release in the circumstances it did and ended up from being a success. The film is also a setback for the Telugu film industry, which is having a horrific year at the box office, except for a couple of weeks of Sankranti Vashthunam during the holiday period. The last year was also a bad one in general, but there were four major hits spread across the year. This year has offered nothing. The Territorial Breakdown for Hari Hara Veera Mallu is as follows:
