Over the years, various Golden Buzzer acts have come under scrutiny - including for being recognisable before Britain's Got Talent.
From the 2025 series, a new twist saw Golden Buzzers introduced for the live semi-finals.
Although one finalist per semi final qualifies by public vote, the second is selected via a Golden Buzzer.
Writing online, viewers have hit out at both the new twist and the Golden Buzzer format as a whole.
One penned: "Can they get rid of this golden buzzer thing its unfair #BGT,"
Another added: "Please get rid of that golden buzzer. It's lost it's purpose and it's just stupid now."

Singer Max Fox took part in Britain's Got Talent 2025 - and secured a Golden Buzzer from Amanda Holden.
Max's audition went viral as he was originally an audience member but begged Simon Cowell to let him perform.

One penned on Reddit: "I know that in episode 8 Simon went to great lengths about the fact that Max was not a set up.
"But somebody getting up from the audience and going on to get a Golden Buzzer seems too contrived or am I being too cynical?"

Former Strictly judge Bruno was so impressed that he awarded her the Golden Buzzer within a second of her finishing her final note.
But viewers soon unearthed Maya's TV past - having auditioned for Romania 's Got Talent in her home country.
The teen received a standing ovation after belting out another power ballad, this time Whitney Houston 's I Have Nothing, and it was even been claimed she was awarded the Golden Buzzer.
Taking to X following her audition, one viewer said: "Maya Giotea who got the golden buzzer on #bgt tonight was on Romania Got Talent & got through to the live show."
Another added: "Yet again been on Romania's got talent and got the golden buzzer even though there is none left!!"
Sydnie Christmas

Sydnie Christmas was crowned the winner of Britain's Got Talent in 2024.
She received Amanda Holden's Golden Buzzer at her audition after performing "Tomorrow" from Annie.
At the time, she was 28 years old and had been working as the receptionist at a gym.
However, viewers criticised Sydnie receiving the Golden Buzzer after her background as a stage performer was revealed.
Some claimed her performing experience gave her an advantage over other acts.
One fan wrote on X: "Why did Sydnie get a Golden Buzzer. She's a professional for goodness sake."
Another remarked: "No way. She's either got an album out already or has been signed somewhere. Sydnie is pro already I reckon."

Viewers watched comedian Axel Blake win Britain's Got Talent in 2022.
Axel impressed the judges with his audition routine - earning Simon's coveted Golden Buzzer.
Fans were fuming when they learned the comedian already had a show on worldwide streaming platform Amazon Prime.
Speaking in an interview after his win, Axel said: "I understand that you can't always win everybody over and that everyone is entitled to their opinion.
"The word 'fix' is a strong one, I don't think somebody trying to become a household name and take their career to the next step should be punished for exploring every avenue possible to be able to showcase their love and craft."
He added: "Whilst some people will know of me, there are a lot of people out there who don't and it's about trying to make sure I am chasing all those opportunities out there, to help me stand out amongst all the amazing comedians and entertainers in what is a very competitive industry."

French beatboxer MB14 entered Britain's Got Talent in 2023 - receiving Ant and Dec 's Golden Buzzer at his audition.
However, viewers branded it "a fix" after learning about the star's prior success.
He finished second on The Voice France in 2016 and subsequently signed a record deal with Polydor, which he later left.
MB14 was formerly part of beatboxing group Berywam and was said to have 35,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
One viewer wrote online: "Just googled him. He has been on The voice France as a runner up. Obviously scouted."
Another agreed: "Just an ordinary lad with 95m views on YouTube."
While a third commented: "Another well known person auditioning for #BGT."
Akshat Singh

Schoolboy Akshat Singh from Mumbai, India, pumped up the crowd with his energetic dance routine and feel good catch-phrase.
He received Ant and Dec's Golden Buzzer for 2019 - but fans weren't happy after learning of his TV fame.
Akshat was already a well-known dancer, having first come into the spotlight in Bengali dance reality show: Dance Bangla Dance.
Following this, he participated in India's Got Talent where he became an overnight sensation.
Further appearances included India's Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 and the Ellen DeGeneres show in America.
One viewer wrote: "The kids b****y already famous! Recognise him as soon as I see him wasn't even that good to be given the golden buzzer".
Another shared: "What a waste of Ant and Decs Golden Buzzer. A movie star etc saw him do same routine on Ellen last year.

Taryn Charles - 2024: Singer Taryn Charles is one of this year's hopefuls lucky enough to receive the Golden Buzzer. Bruno Tonilio put her straight through to the semi-finals following her performance of (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin, but it has now come to light that she is no stranger to TV. Viewers recognised Taryn from an episode of ITV1's Starstruck, where she impersonated Whitney Houston for judges Olly Murs, Sheridan Smith, Adam Lambert and Beverley Knight.

‘His beauty was a curse' — Terence Stamp's five best films
Terence Stamp, who died on Sunday, was a gorgeous and gifted acting anomaly. His professional prowess was somehow lived backwards, with his best movies and his strongest roles arriving, belatedly, in his knockout autumnal years, while the glossy burst of stardom that defined his early career was often just that — glossy, admittedly beguiling, yet always hinting at a maturation that had yet to come. His beauty, of course, was the curse. He tended, early on, to be shot by enthusiastic directors in long glacial close-ups, where cameras and audiences alike could swoon before that famous blue pellucid gaze (one that was making waves off screen too as a 'Swinging Sixties' icon, arm in arm with Jean Shrimpton). When he eventually spoke, sometimes haltingly, stiffly, from the back of his throat, still only in his early twenties (was he nervous? Shy?), it seemed as if he was breaking that magic. In Billy Budd, in 1962, his choice of a broad Somerset accent was surprising, but also oddly distracting. He was better, seemingly calmer and more assured, when paired with the great beauties, and so bounced sweetly, joker-style, off Monica Vitti in Modesty Blaise in 1966. And he found his perfect screen partner in Julie Christie in 1967's Far From the Madding Crowd. Their standout scene foregrounds delicate comedic timing when her dress is snagged on his spur and he stares deeply into her eyes and cheekily purrs, 'I'll unfasten you in no time!' • Read more film reviews, guides about what to watch and interviews When the work famously dried up for Stamp at the end of the 1960s and he retreated from cinema he said, 'It was a mystery to me. I was in my prime.' And yet this wasn't true. His prime began in 1994, at the age of 56, when he donned a wig and a frock to play the trans cabaret performer Bernadette in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. He was utterly commanding in the role, and heartbreaking too, hiding a lifetime of grief beneath lipstick and one-liners. He was still, of course, striking looking, but the wrinkles, the thinning hair and the heavier, harsher delivery allowed him access to instant gravitas, as if he had returned from the professional wilderness with supercharged performance powers. He was remarkable too in The Limey, playing a Cockney criminal in LA, out to avenge his daughter's murder. In that film's endlessly re-watchable and effortlessly iconic moment, after eliminating some enemy heavies, Stamp's antihero emerges bloodied from a warehouse and yells aloud to anyone in the vicinity associated with his mobster nemesis, 'You tell him, you tell him I'm coming. I'm f***ing coming!' It played like a clarion call, or an announcement to anyone who had underestimated a once forgotten Swinging Sixties poster boy. Tell them he's coming! And he did, and was always interesting, always the character that captivated on screen, in everything from Bowfinger to Full Frontal, The Adjustment Bureau, Song for Marion and Big Eyes. A gifted and richly rewarding performer, till the end. This is the one, the role. Stamp had already proven his 'returning' chops on Priscilla, yet here he adds layers and depth, wit and humour. As a criminal from London over to wreak havoc in LA, he is funny and self-deprecating, even in constant deadpan. And he's gentle in places too, and always impeccably cool. But mostly he's scary, and brilliantly so. He somehow, repeatedly, turns the simple introductory statement 'My name is Wilson' into a terrifying threat. This is Stamp at his most expressive, and yet controlled, and with nothing to lose. He's come back, effectively, from the professional doldrums, and plays the role of trans cabaret performer Bernadette in defiant deadpan throughout, even when she's kneeing a local bigot in the crotch and quipping, 'Now you're f***ed!' Stamp played Superman's nemesis, General Zod, as a leather-clad intergalactic aristocrat. And yet the role really works because Stamp's tougher, angrier, east London accent keeps bursting out during key scenes. Such as, 'Come to me, Superman! If you day-are!' This is later-era Stamp at his most assured. He plays the grumpy, maudlin husband of a woman dying from cancer. And yet, midway through the film, he begins to crack open emotionally by singing his pain. Have hankies for the scene where he launches, unaccompanied, into The Most Beautiful Girl. Leave it to Ken Loach to pull the most moving and impactful performance out of Stamp's early career. He plays Dave, the dream boyfriend to luckless single mum heroine Joy (Carol White). He's also, alas, an ex-criminal, and so when the law catches up to him he must remain, in Joy's heart (and in the hearts of cinema-goers everywhere), an unattainable phantasm. Stamp here also does a deeply lovely rendition of the Joan Baez song Colours.

Met Police investigating Strictly Come Dancing 'drug use' claims
The Metropolitan Police has said it is investigating allegations of drug use on Strictly Come a statement, the Met said it had "received an allegation about drug related offences"."Police are assessing the information and further enquiries are taking place to establish whether there is evidence of a criminal offence being committed," it BBC said it had "clear protocols and policies in place" for dealing with any serious complaints raised with it. The Met's involvement comes after the the BBC launched an investigation earlier this month into alleged drug use by two stars of the show, who have not been followed a report in the Sun on Sunday, which said the alleged drug use by the stars was widely talked about on the News understands the corporation has hired a law firm to help it carry out the Sunday, the Sun reported that the BBC had referred the matter to police. A Met spokesperson later confirmed that the force had "received an allegation about drug related offences" on Tuesday 12 BBC said it would not comment on any police it highlighted a previous statement which read: "We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. "We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further."Strictly, which has been airing since 2004, has faced multiple controversies over the past few years relating to the behaviour of some of its professionals and celebrity is believed, however, that this is the first time the BBC has been in contact with the police over allegations linked to the show.
