iPro Realty Ltd. shut down by Ontario's real estate watchdog
A real estate sign is displayed in front of a house in the Riverdale area of Toronto on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Evan Buhler A Toronto-area real estate brokerage is no more after the province's industry watchdog said that it discovered a 'significant shortfall' in its accounts. The Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) says it has finalized an undertaking with Mississauga-based iPro Realty Ltd. which will lead to the brokerage's wind-up and closure as of Aug. 19. 'This is a serious breach of iPro's responsibilities under the law and to its consumers and agents,' RECO said of the shortfall. RECO did not disclose the value of the deficit. There are 2,400 agents employed at iPro and the brokerage has locations in Mississauga, Toronto, North York, Scarborough, and across the Greater Toronto Area. RECO will oversee operations at iPro until it closes on Aug. 19. I sold my property with iPro. Will my deal close? According to RECO, transactions involving iPro will continue to close in the normal course of business. 'First and foremost, please contact the real estate agent you have been working with. If you need more assistance than your agent is able to provide, ask to speak to the management of iPro,' RECO wrote in a news release. RECO said it, the new leadership of iPro, and the insurer are working to minimize the impact on consumer deposits. Those owed a commission by iPro can file an insurance claim, however the limit per individual claimant is $200,000 and the insurance payouts related to this event will be capped at $4 million. I'm selling my property with iPro and have offers on the table. What happens now? RECO said that if your negotiations conclude before Aug. 19, the transaction will proceed, as long as you have a signed agreement of purchase and sale (APS). 'If the agreement to buy or sell a property has not been signed by all parties, you will have to sign a new representation agreement with your agent and their new brokerage,' it said. If my deposit was held by iPro, where is it now? RECO says that your APS should identify where your deposit is being held. If it is being held with iPro, RECO recommends reaching out the real estate agent you've been working with for more assistance. My agent works at iPro. Can I still work with them? RECO said many agents from iPro will be transferring to a new brokerage and you can sign a new representation agreement with them at their new brokerage. Alternatively, buyers and sellers can choose to sign a new representation agreement with a new agent if they choose. CTV News Toronto has reached out to iPro and RECO for comment on the situation.

Sprouts Farmers' E-Commerce Sales Jump 27%: Can It Keep Climbing?
Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. SFM delivered a robust 27% year-over-year increase in e-commerce sales during the second quarter of 2025, with online transactions now accounting for about 15% of total revenues. The gain reflects balanced growth across all digital partners, including Instacart, Uber Eats, DoorDash and Sprouts' platform, While e-commerce continues to be the main pillar, the key question is: Can this level of performance be sustained? In the first quarter, e-commerce sales increased 28%, accounting for 15% of total revenues. The trend suggests that customers are drawn to Sprouts Farmers for its unique product offerings, with demand driven more by quality and value than by price. Instacart continues to deliver the largest online baskets, about double the size of typical in-store transactions. Uber Eats and DoorDash cater to more immediate needs, such as 'what's for dinner tonight' staples. Meanwhile, has emerged as the fastest-growing channel, benefiting from years of investment in customer engagement, site functionality and integration with Sprouts' brand identity. SFM is also betting on its new Sprouts Rewards loyalty program to accelerate this momentum. Initial pilot programs have shown that loyalty members are shopping more frequently and spending more. This initiative is a strategic step toward better understanding and serving its target customers. However, maintaining e-commerce growth at current levels will be somewhat challenging as penetration increases and comparisons become tougher. If Sprouts Farmers aims to replicate such a solid growth rate in future quarters, it will depend on innovation, effective digital marketing and a seamless customer experience. How SFM's E-Commerce Growth Compares to COST, WMT & TGT Costco Wholesale Corporation COST continues to show digital momentum, with e-commerce comparable sales rising 14.8% in the third quarter of fiscal 2025 and 15.1% in July. Costco is boosting its digital reach through efforts like Costco Logistics and a new Buy Now Pay Later option. Costco Logistics saw a 31% year-over-year increase in big and bulky e-commerce deliveries in the last reported quarter. Walmart Inc. WMT reported a 22% year-over-year increase in global e-commerce sales in the first quarter of fiscal 2026. Walmart continues to scale its digital business through faster delivery, improved fulfillment and marketplace expansion. With growing customer adoption, Walmart is firmly positioning itself as a strong digital retail competitor. Target Corporation TGT is making significant strides in digital sales and delivery speed, positioning itself as a strong competitor in the fast-delivery race. Target's digital sales rose 4.7% year over year in the first quarter of fiscal 2025, fueled by the rapid growth of Target Circle 360, which offers same-day delivery with no price markups. Buy Big Tech Stock INTU On the Dip Now Before Earnings
TurboTax owner and financial technology titan Intuit Inc. INTU stock has dropped 12% after hitting fresh highs at the end of July. The downturn provides investors with a great opportunity to buy Intuit stock on the dip heading into its fourth-quarter fiscal 2025 earnings release on August 21. The tax software stock has more than tripled the Tech sector over the past 20 years. Intuit's expanding portfolio and AI enhancements will help it keep churning out double-digit sales and earnings growth. Plus, it looks like it's finding support at a critical technical range. Buy INTU Stock and Hold for AI Growth and Tax Stability Intuit averaged 16% revenue growth over the last decade, alongside roughly 15% average GAAP earnings expansion, driven by the consistent and evergreen nature of its TurboTax software. INTU's steady growth is impressive even among its mega-cap tech peers like Microsoft MSFT . INTU expanded its reach significantly over the last five years. It is now a one-stop shop for business and consumer finance, email marketing, and more via TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, which boast roughly 100 million customers total. Intuit is crucially expanding its artificial intelligence efforts to make sure it doesn't lose ground to potential upstart AI rivals in tax prep software and more. The company's AI-powered TurboTax Live is an assisted tax preparation service that combines human experts with AI automation. Its sales surged 47% last quarter to $2 billion. AI-powered innovations and personalized offerings spurred growth across Intuit's entire portfolio. 'We're redefining what's possible with AI by becoming a one-stop shop of AI-agents and AI-enabled human experts to fuel the success of consumers and small and mid-market businesses,' CEO Sasan Goodarzi said in prepared remarks. INTU is projected to grow its sales by 15% in FY25 and 12% in fiscal 2026 to reach $20.94 billion vs. $16.29 billion last year, extending its streak of double-digit revenue growth. The technology powerhouse is projected to boost its adjusted earnings by 18% in its soon-to-be-reported fiscal 2025 and 14% next year. Plus, its upward earnings estimate revisions earn it a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), and it has topped our bottom-line estimates in 19 out of the past 20 quarters. Buy the Financial Tech Stock On the Dip Now Intuit climbed roughly 3,000% in the past 20 years to more than triple Tech's 834% and crush Microsoft's 1,800%. Its outperformance remains significant over the past 10 years, up 700% vs. Tech's 410%. INTU was tracking Tech over the last few years until its recent tumble from its late July records. The stock fell not too long after INTU finally broke out meaningfully above its 2021 highs earlier this summer after meeting resistance there throughout 2024. INTU is finding support at its 21-week moving average and its previous peaks after falling from some of its most overbought RSI levels to its most oversold. One of the biggest things holding INTU stock back might be its valuation. Some could find it harder to justify paying up for Intuit given the uncertainty surrounding the long-term potential impact AI might have on its core tax segment and beyond. Still, Intuit trades at a small discount to its 10-year median and 50% below its highs at 41.7X forward earnings. Wall Street has been willing to pay a huge premium for Intuit's consistent growth. Now might be the time to consider buying Intuit stock on the dip heading into earnings, especially with the broader tech sector trading at all-time highs.
