‘Mister Miracle' Series Gets Greenlight at Warner Bros. Animation, DC Studios
From the Annecy Animation Festival today, Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) and DC Studios unveiled a new adult animated series titled 'Mister Miracle,' based on the acclaimed 12-issue comic book series by Tom King and Mitch Gerads.
King, who co-created the original comic series, will serve as executive producer and showrunner.

The network or platform that will carry the show has not yet been announced, but the studios say they will be sharing more info about it during their adult animation-themed showcase on Friday.
'Mister Miracle' marks the second adult animated series from Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios since the latter was launched by bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran in 2022. It comes following the success of 'Creature Commandos,' which is currently in production for a second season on HBO Max. Other recent animated projects in the pipeline include 'Starfire!,' 'My Adventures with Green Lantern' and 'DC Super Powers.'
The series follows Scott Free, known worldwide as Mister Miracle, the greatest escape artist who ever lived. With his wife, Big Barda, Scott seemed to have built the perfect life on Earth, until everything began to unravel. As war erupts between the planets Apocalypse and New Genesis, Scott's adoptive father, Darkseid, has apparently obtained the Anti-Life Equation, a devastating force capable of dominating the universe.
With carnage escalating on both sides, Mister Miracle becomes the last hope to end the conflict and restore peace. But the power of the Anti-Life Equation might already be affecting Scott's mind, distorting his reality and threatening the happiness he shares with Barda.
WBA and DC Studios have said more info will be shared about the series during their adult animation showcase on Friday, so stay tuned for our coverage of the event.

I took a break from cooking for my family, so I made myself a sandwich
A few weeks ago, I complained about the reception I got from my family when I went to the trouble to make arancini, the classic Italian stuffed and fried rice balls. To recap (cue the TV-style voice-over: 'Previously on Weeknight Vegetarian …'), I found their reaction lacking, and I mused about how it led me to realize I needed to have more dinner parties, where friends would surely appreciate the effort.

Charli xcx Brings Out Bladee for Live Debut of ‘Rewind' Remix at London's Lido Festival, Declares ‘Brat' Summer a ‘Forever Thing'
Charli xcx declared 'Brat' summer a 'forever thing' during her headlining set at Lido Festival in London on Saturday night, just over a year since the album released and took over the music world. At the end of the hour-long performance, Charli left fans with a written message displayed on the stage's screen with flashing lights: ''Brat' summer is over. But actually… I don't think it is. So tell me the truth: Will you hate me if I stick around? Because honestly I don't know who I am if it's over. And so… I've decided I want this to last forever. It wasn't just a summer thing… it's a forever thing. Please don't let it be over.' The original version of 'Rewind' was played at first, with Charli singing through the lyrics: 'I used to never feel embarrassed/Feel embarrassed when I called up the paparazzi.' She then realized and said, 'Wait, hold on. We gotta stop, we gotta stop. Are we doing the wrong version?' As the crowd chattered in confusion, Charli walked off stage for a brief moment as Bladee greeted the crowd. 'What's up, London? Let's try again.'
