Laura Anderson takes veiled swipe at ex Gary Lucy in Father's Day post
Laura Anderson appears to take aim at her ex partner Gary Lucy in a Father's Day post as sarcastically praises fathers who 'financially' take care of their children
Since the arrival of their daughter two years ago, the relationship between Laura Anderson and Gary Lucy has been far from smooth-sailing. And it seems despite the fact the pair parted ways in February 2023, after attempting to rekindle their relationship before the birth of their daughter, Laura's bitterness towards Gary is still ever present.
On Father's Day, Laura posted a tribute to :"Great dads who show up and financially support their children. You children love you."
According to reports, it was Gary's children from a previous relationship that forced him to make the difficult decision to split with Laura after she proposed he move to Scotland in order to raise their daughter Bonnie, two.
Back in October last year, Gary was at the receiving end of Laura's frustration when he posted a series of pictures showing off his relationship with Bonnie..
And at the time she posted: "Instead of posting videos of the one time you saw your daughter this year, can you please reply to my text from 2weeks ago please, that would be great."
Her post attracted a string of attention but left Gary feeling the need to retaliate, in a desperate bid to counter her claims of being an absent father.
Taking to his social media at the time, he posted a picture of himself with his youngest son Theodore and responded saying: "I could eat him all up."
But his hashtags underneath his post appeared to be evidence that he was fuming at Laura's suggestion he was not present in his daughter's life.
He ended his post saying: "#handsomeboy, #deadbeatdad." And this was followed by an emoji of the middle finger.
Last year, Laura opened up on life as a single mum to the Mirror.
She explained: "But that's the cards I was dealt in the end. Of course, I'm going to make it work for my child, even more so. I feel like I'm a really good mum, to be honest."
She added: "Prioritise what you need to do, it's just me. I have to make it work. I am tired but of course, I'm going to be tired. I'm bringing up a human soul, that's what I signed up for."
When asked her advice for other parents in a similar situation, she replied: "[Bonnie's] great, your social life does a take a little bit of a backseat but most people, your good friends understand that."

Danny Jones' wife makes first post including him since Maura Higgins kiss
Georgia has shared Danny on her social media for the first time since the scandal. Danny Jones' wife Georgia shared a tribute to her husband for the first time since he was pictured kissing Love Island star Maura Higgin. The 38-year-old, who shares seven-year-old son Cooper with McFly star Danny, 39, shared a sweet post to him on Instagram to mark Father's Day. After she posted a snap of her own dad, she then went on to post a cute photo of Cooper cuddling into his dad. She sweetly captioned the post: "For the Dads. Happy Father's Day." Georgia's post is the first that he's appeared on her social media page since he was papped kissing his I'm A Celebrity co-star Maura at a Brits after party back in March. Danny, who has been married to Georgia for over a decade, issued a grovelling public apology after the drunken smooch. In a statement on his Instagram Story, he said: "Hello everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately." He added to fans: "I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny." Following the BRITs scandal, apparently, Georgia temporarily moved out of their family home. Insiders claimed that the whole situation was "embarrassing" for the mother-of-one, who married Danny back in 2014. Shortly after the kiss, a source claimed that while "they may still be married, they are not together and she is still working out what she wants to do." However, it's now believed Georgia is back in the family home in West London and has returned to host her podcast, Mum's The Word! with friend Kelsey Parker. A source told the Mirror in April: "Georgia is returning to face the music after weeks away. She took some time for herself after the incident blew up but now she's ready to talk." "This wasn't some grand gesture where she suddenly packed her bags and left. It was just a girlie few nights at a close pal's flat. Yes, she wanted some space, but she is home now, and while things are still fragile, they are trying to work things through," a separate source confirmed. Danny is said to be eager to work through things and get his marriage with Georgia back on track. "He has made it clear he will do anything to make it work. He loves Georgia and wants their marriage to get back on track," a source told The Sun. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!

The most unpopular dad names in UK - check if your baby has one that's fizzling out
Check the list to see if your baby's name is on it. Picking a name for your baby is one of the biggest decisions you'll make, so the pressure is on parents to pick a good one as it is with them for life. It's also hard to pick one that will stand the test of time and many parents-to-be spend months searching through baby name books or browsing online to find the perfect moniker for their little one. However, it seems that some previously common 'dad names' have become so unpopular that they don't look like they will be making a comeback any time soon. Dads celebrating Father's Day this weekend might want to check out our list to see if their name is on the brink of extinction. For many years, names like Craig and Lee were heard all around the UK - but they are at risk of dying out altogether, with few parents choosing them these days, writes The Mirror. In the 1970s and 1980s, Craig and Lee ranked high on the list when it came to the most popular baby names. In 1974, Craig came in as the 28th most popular baby name for boys, and ten years later, it became even more fashionable, coming in at 19th. These days, only nine babies have been named Craig in the UK, according to recent statistics, which means it's fallen 2306 places in the rankings since 1984. The extinction of so-called 'dad names' goes beyond this though, with the name Lee falling straight to the bottom of the list. In 1974, Lee was the 12th most popular choice, and a decade later, its popularity had only fallen very slightly, to 15th. Now, Lee has fallen a whopping 1127 places on the ranking list - so you aren't too likely to come across a baby boy named this that often. While commiserations should be given to all the Craigs and Lees you know out there - who might not be delighted to hear this news - they are also joined by Garys and Pauls. Gary used to be a top choice for baby boys, but in 2023, only eight babies were bestowed this name. Paul was the number one name in 1974, but has since dropped 464th in the popularity charts. The number one name for baby boys in 1984, Christopher, has also seen a huge drop in popularity, dropping out of the top 100 altogether and hitting the 187th spot - with only 269 babies given this one in 2023. Some boys' names have managed to remain popular through the decades in the UK, however. Names like Thomas, James, Adam, and Alexander all still prove pretty popular with parents to this day, and to a lesser extent David, Daniel, and Michael, which have all dropped from their original high positions in the charts, but remained in the top 100. 1. Paul: fallen 463 places 2. Mark: fallen 264 places 3. David: fallen 62 places 4. Andrew: fallen 290 places 5. Richard: fallen 406 places 6. Christopher: fallen 181 places 7. James: fallen 28 places 8. Simon: fallen 411 places 9. Michael: fallen 79 places 10. Matthew: fallen 127 places 11. Stephen: fallen 654 places 12. Lee: fallen 1127 places 13. John: fallen 145 places 14. Robert: fallen 133 places 15. Darren: fallen 1257 places 16. Daniel: fallen 44 places 17. Steven: fallen 797 places 18. Jason: fallen 156 places 19. Nicholas: fallen 182 places 20. Jonathan: fallen 238 places 21. Ian: fallen 540 places 22. Neil: fallen 907 places 23. Peter: fallen 227 places 24. Stuart: fallen 1,983 places 25. Anthony: fallen 159 places 26. Martin: fallen 275 places 27. Kevin: fallen 183 places 28. Craig: fallen 2,297 places 29. Philip: fallen 410 places 30. Gary: fallen 2,516 places
