Mini Crossword
NYT
In case you missed Friday's NYT Mini, you can find the answers here:
The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper's larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.
Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you'll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.
The NYT Mini is a fun daily distraction that usually takes no time at all. I try to beat the standard weekday grid in less than a minute. But sometimes I can't quite figure out one or two clues and need to reveal the answer.
To help you avoid doing that, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers (spoilers lie ahead, of course):

1) "Get a load of ___!" - THIS
5) Ability to keep one's balance on a ship - SEALEGS
8) Army shirt? - TANKTOP
9) Chicago trains - ELS
10) Wand-waving org. - TSA
11) Flowers depicted in classical Chinese art - PEONIES
13) By oneself - ALONE
14) Phileas ___, "Around the World in Eighty Days" protagonist - FOGG
DOWN

7) Places to get pampered - SPAS
12) Eggy holiday drink - NOG
Mini
NYT
This isn't really a Mini today, it's more of a Medium with clues up to #14 and some seven letter answers, which are never easy. Unless they're HAN SOLO. That was easy. Some clever clues in here like wand-waving.org which I thought was going to be some sort of Harry Potter reference. The Army shirt is not camo anything, but TANKTOP is a nice play on words. Fun puzzle.

"How Much Ketamine Are You On?': Jon Stewart Spotted A Huge Issue With This "Crazy" Theory Trump Shared Online

Daily Show host Jon Stewart on Monday dismissed Elon Musk's attempt to cut government spending for President Donald Trump as an 'epic fail.' But what really caught his eye was Musk's spacey demeanor during an Oval Office ceremony held last week to mark the billionaire's departure from the job. 'There might've been an explanation for that behavior,' Stewart said, and cited a New York Times report that Musk had been using a blend of drugs including ketamine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms and Adderall. That same report said Musk was experiencing bladder issues, which he told friends were caused by the ketamine. 'He told people that?' Stewart asked in disbelief. 'This dude is a one-man anti-drug campaign.' Stewart then offered up an ad for the mock campaign. As he spoke, an image of Musk was altered to show a wet patch forming around his groin. Stewart said it was another example of Trump 'pulling some new crazy thing out of his ass to distract us.' But Stewart pointed to a big flaw in that conspiracy theory with a question for the president. 'You're saying that the Joe Biden who doesn't even know where he is is actually an incredibly advanced cloned robot?' he asked. 'How much ketamine are you on?' Much like the image of Musk earlier, the one of Trump shifted to show a wet patch appearing around the groin. 'A lot,' Stewart concluded. Adam Silver: NBA All-Star game will feature 'some form of USA against the world'

Henderson/Getty Images) NBA commissioner Adam Silver confirmed on Wednesday a new All-Star format that's been floated since the disaster that was February's All-Star game. Next season's game will feature a USA vs. the world format. Silver announced the decision while speaking on FS1's "Breakfast Ball." Advertisement The format will debut on NBC in the first season of the network's return to covering the NBA under the league's new media rights deal. It will take place during the Winter Olympics that will also air on NBC. "What better time to feature some form of USA against the world?" Silver said. Silver said that he's "not exactly sure what the format will be yet." He noted that he "paid a lot of attention to what the NHL did" during its All-Star break this season. The NHL scrapped its traditional All-Star format in February for a international tournament that was a big success among fans and players. It was held up in contrast to the debut NBA's four-team mini-tournament that drew widespread scorn alongside the coverage of the event.

Miley Cyrus Regrets 80% Of Her Tattoos

Miley Cyrus isn't the biggest fan of all the ink she's gotten over the years. The singer, now 32, got her first tattoo at the age of 17 — the words "just breathe" tattooed on her ribs, in honor of a friend who died of cystic fibrosis and her grandfathers, who both died of lung cancer. She now has over 50 tattoos. When asked in a new interview by the New York Times about any mistakes she's made, Miley replied, "A mistake that I made that I still think about is, like, 80% of my tattoos." As for which ones specifically she's no longer too keen on, she continued, "I love my cat, but, like, I didn't need that." In a similar vein, she added, "I love my dog, but, I don't know, just having a pitbull in every picture for the rest of my life is kind of intense." "I don't regret them enough to laser them," she added. "There's just a few I could do without." Still, Miley was photographed getting the word "muse" tattooed on her in cursive earlier this week, so she's not over tattoos themselves. You can watch the full interview here.
