Designer Smita Shrinivas claimed that the gown was returned in poor condition — wet, dusty, crumpled, and unusable. She shared a series of pictures of the gown and screenshots of chats with her team revealing details about the incident.
The designer shared evidence, claiming that initially, a Rs 40,000 settlement was agreed upon. However, her team didn't revert thereafter or initiate the payment. Netizens have now bashed Kashish for the same and asked her to respond to the incident.
The designer shared videos and photos of the green gown and mentioned how it was returned in poor condition.
'KASHISH KAPOOR kashishkapoor302 SCAMMED ME OF ₹85,000. This isn't just about one green couture gown. It's about how small designers get exploited in the name of 'collaboration' and 'exposure'. Dot Media Agency @dotmediabase took my gown for influencer Kashish. I shared exact size details (S), but she needed XS — they took it anyway.
The gown came back destroyed — wet, dusty, crumpled, stuffed inside-out. This was an ₹85k couture piece, weeks of artisan work.
Once in that state, it's unsellable and can't be reused,' wrote the designer.
She further wrote, 'I asked for compensation or for them to buy it. We settled on ₹40k (less than half its value) to end it peacefully. Then came weeks of excuses — 'Will transfer tomorrow', 'Bank issue', 'I'm traveling'. Finally, Kashish blocked me. When I contacted the agency again, they said my 'compensation' could be a social media shoutout — as if that replaces the loss of a couture piece.'
Kashish recently also made headlines after Rs 7 lakh was stolen from her house. She allegedly accused her cook of doing the same. On the work front, Kashish is best known for her participation in Bigg Boss 18.

Cops arrest 11 in firearms case

Pune: The Pune city police crime branch, in separate actions, arrested 11 men and recovered 12 country-made pistols and 15 rounds from them between July 30 and Aug 14. Deputy commissioner of police (crime) Nikhil Pingale on Saturday said the investigations into firearm cases revealed that most criminals released on bail acquired knowledge for procuring weapons from different places in Madhya Pradesh from other criminals currently lodged at Yerawada Central Jail. Pingale said the arrested men are not users, but they procure the weapons from contacts for approximately Rs 15,000 and sell them to prospective customers and criminals for Rs 40,000 or more. The weapons are used for maintaining status, security purposes, and personal vendetta, he said.
