Recruit41 Cuts Time-to-Hire and Boosts Precision with its GenAI-Powered Interview Platform
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 19: Recruit41 is an agentic-AI platform that orchestrates agents for interview design, interviewing, evaluation and proctoring to deliver Job Description specific AI-led interviews. Unlike traditional AI tools that layer automation onto outdated processes, Recruit41 is built for Talent Acquisition teams and reimagines workflows end-to-end; from resume analysis to adaptive interviews - cutting time-to-hire while boosting precision.
* Introducing Recruit41: The world's first GenAI-powered Agentic-AI interviewing platform that balances trust, depth & speed
Recruit41's breakthrough lies in fundamentally re-architecting the hiring funnel through a coordinated system of AI agents - each focused on a specific friction point in the workflow. The platform doesn't just automate steps; it enables structured evaluation, real-time contextual interviews, and adaptive fraud detection at scale, transforming how companies identify and assess talent.
The company is founded by Sripathi Krishnan, Swetha Suresh, and Samkeet Jain, with strategic backing from Anshuman Singh, Harshit Singhal, and Himanshu Varshney. The founding team previously built and scaled HashedIn, which was successfully acquired by Deloitte, bringing decades of experience in building product-first and talent-intensive companies to their mission of making hiring faster, sound, and more intelligent.
Recruit41 is the first in the world to bring agentic-AI into structured, JD-specific interviews with defined evaluation rubrics. Interview questions and evaluation are rooted to BLOOM and SOLO scientific frameworks. Recruit41's commitment to interview integrity is paramount. This is upheld through a comprehensive, multi-layered system that begins with the interview's design, continues with real-time behavioral analysis of the candidate, and concludes with a contextual post-interview analysis.
What sets Recruit41 apart is its ability to simulate real-world work environments during interviews, evaluating candidates on their use of AI tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software - mirroring how work actually gets done today. The platform supports both technical roles in engineering and data science, as well as non-technical positions across marketing, operations, and product functions. "We're not trying to replace human judgment. We're giving it superpowers," said Co-Founder, Dr. Swetha Suresh, emphasizing the human-AI collaboration model that allows the hiring team to focus on strategic decisions while AI handles scale, consistency, and speed.
Recruit41 is already trusted by global consulting firms, fast-growing ITES, and product companies to identify top technical talent with precision, accelerate hiring without compromising quality. It has been used for both high-volume campus drives and with AI-powered shortlisting that achieves a 3:1 hire ratio.
"Swissnex in India operates a small high-performing team. We place significant emphasis on the recruitment process, including a two-day stint at our office before making a final offer. Through Recruit41, we could give the first-round interview opportunity to a significantly larger pool of applicants and in the process we were able to customize the interview experience in order to get the most relevant insights covered. Recruit41 seamlessly worked with us hand in hand, giving us a very personalized experience. What stood out was how Recruit41 customized the results view to our decision-making style, empowering us to look at more candidates. Full access to recordings, transcripts, and evaluation data makes it a great decision support tool" said Jonas Brunschwig, CEO, Swissnex in India.
"We had our own hiring framework at Sucimani, and Recruit41 was able to mimic that with precision. Their platform delivered a one-and-a-half-hour interview that covered fundamentals, coding, and technical Q & A - with randomized case scenarios to reduce cheating," said Suyash Motarwar, CPTO, Sucimani.
Recruit41 is built for the realities of Indian hiring and benchmarked to global standards. Having powered over 2.76 million interactions, Recruit41 combines scale with trust through enterprise-grade infrastructure and ongoing ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR compliance.
About Recruit41:
Recruit41 is an agentic AI interviewing platform that enables organizations to hire faster, fairer, and with greater confidence through its system of intelligent agents designed to remove repetitive steps, reduce time-to-hire, and deliver rich hiring signals for data-driven decisions.

Online marketplaces influence 73% of purchases: Deloitte-Ficci report
Mumbai: Consumers are increasingly relying on digital channels for their purchases, with online marketplaces being the most influential in shaping buying decisions, according to a report by Deloitte and industry body Ficci. While physical stores remain relevant, a growing number of people also rely on peer recommendations and social media advertisements to make purchasing decisions, the report, released on Wednesday, noted. Online marketplaces are the top choice for categories like electronics and apparel, driven by their convenience and competitive pricing. The findings indicate that online marketplaces influence 73% of purchasing decisions, while offline stores remain relevant for 53% of consumers surveyed by Deloitte. Peer recommendations (51%) and social media ads (49%) also shape choices. Further, consumers prefer authentic content, such as YouTube reviews (40%), over influencer endorsements, reflecting a shift toward trust-based, informed decision-making. Quick commerce is gaining traction in the food, beverages, and home and personal care sectors, while social media-led shopping has minimal influence. The report projects that online commerce is expected to account for 16% of the total retail market by 2030. This growth is driven by the convenience and wide product assortment that digital platforms offer. Companies said the market is changing quickly, requiring brands to be present across all channels. 'Today's retail landscape is evolving at an unprecedented rate—no matter what corner of the country we talk about," said V Kumar, Chairman, FMCG Committee, FICCI and CEO, P&G India, at a FICCI event in the capital on Wednesday. In India, digital platforms already drive about 17% of total FMCG consumption, with quick commerce (ultra-fast delivery) generating 35% of FMCG brands' e-commerce revenue. "As per Deloitte-Ficci report, the quick commerce segment is projected to reach $35 billion gross merchandise value (GMV) by 2030, supported by lakhs of delivery partners and an increasingly electric fleet—demonstrating a growth in demand for immediacy. This ongoing growth of models like quick commerce and e-commerce, powered by a surge in digital payments, has created unprecedented opportunities for enhancing consumer experience. It is imperative for us to ensure our products remain available where and when consumers want them,' he said. The report also highlights a clear preference for online marketplaces for categories such as consumer durables (39%) and apparel (30%). In contrast, multi-brand retail stores dominate high-involvement or tactile categories like jewellery (44%) and consumer health (29%). Meanwhile, local and unbranded stores still hold a significant share in food (24%) and home décor (33%), reflecting consumer trust and accessibility. To be sure, offline retail has long held sway on how consumers buy goods in India. However, over the last decade this has changed with more digital channels chipping away market share from traditional trade prompting companies to diversify the ways in which they reach shoppers. Despite that, companies are continuing to expand their offline presence, with fast-moving consumer goods makers and retailers strengthening distribution in untapped markets. 'While digital adoption is growing, physical expansion will only increase further—tier 2 and 3 cities will see more go-to-market expansion, be it within FMCG or retail. What will be critical is whether the service channel and after-sales is keeping in step with the sales channel,' said Anand Ramanathan, Partner, Consumer Industry Leader, Deloitte India. Retailers are adapting by creating an omni-channel presence to bridge the gap between online and offline. Recently, footwear retailer Bata India said it is set to intensify efforts to scale its online commerce business while maintaining its store opening targets. 'For the last three years, e-commerce has been our fastest-growing business. In the next about, you know, medium term two to three years. It's basically low double digits right now—it should be about 20% of our turnover,' said Gunjan Shah, MD and CEO of Bata India Ltd, in a recent interview with Mint. Shah said the company will maintain its annual store opening guidance of about 100 to 150 stores per year. Last year, FMCG company Marico Ltd launched a program Project Setu, a three-year project, to expand its direct reach from 1 million outlets currently to 1.5 million outlets by FY27—this includes tapping channels such as pharmacies as well as speciality food outlets and standalone beauty stores. The company's general trade system is a source of competitive advantage because digital brands are never going to be able to crack general trade, per Saugata Gupta, managing director and chief executive at the edible oil maker. Ramanathan also noted that quick commerce is entering a phase where pricing intensity is increasing. 'This festive season, companies are moving toward discounting and building volumes via dynamic pricing. This will also help companies reach mid-market households beyond affluent consumers in large metro areas,' he said. However, he added that profitability will depend on how well these platforms can sweat their assets. The quick commerce market in India is expected to touch $35-40 billion by 2030, up from $5.2 billion in 2024. India is also the first country where quick commerce has scaled as a viable channel, now operating in over 80 cities and expanding product categories from essentials to fashion, wellness, and electronics. P&G's Kumar said the company has been co-creating more premium products along with quick commerce platforms such as Zepto to cater to consumers who value convenience.

Latest Economy Observer report from Dun & Bradstreet highlights domestic resilience under threats of higher-than-expected US tariffs
PRNewswire Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 20: Dun & Bradstreet, a global leader in business decisioning data and analytics, has released its Economy Observer report for August 2025. Economy Observer is a monthly report sharing in-depth analysis of key macroeconomic developments in India and provides forecasts for key economic indicators, and insight into the expected direction of the Indian economy. Key economic forecast: Real Economy: India's industrial activity continues to expand at a modest pace. Dun & Bradstreet expects the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) to have grown by 1.7% in July 2025, reflecting steady momentum in manufacturing, especially in basic metals, and construction-linked sectors, despite contractions in mining and electricity. However, the outlook will be clouded by the US announcement on 6th August of an additional 25% tariff on imports from India due to purchase of oil and derivatives from Russia, bringing the total rate to 50% effective August 27, 2025. A bilateral trade deal is still under negotiation, which could offer some relief if agreed upon in the coming months, but until then exports from sectors like gems and jewelry, and certain electronic items will be impacted. The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) signed by India and the UK in July, which eliminates tariffs on 99% of Indian exports, might offset the impact partially. Price Scenario: India's inflation trajectory continues to moderate, reinforcing price stability. Dun & Bradstreet forecasts Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation to ease further to 1.1% in July 2025, down from 2.1% in June 2025, driven by consistent decline in food prices. Food and beverages inflation has remained subdued, with vegetable and pulse prices stabilizing at lower levels given favorable seasonal trends. So far normal monsoon season has supported early kharif sowing across key regions, helping to stabilize agricultural output expectations and contain food inflation pressures. CPI inflation touched a 77-month low in June, and it is expected that in July, CPI will potentially breach historic lows. On the wholesale front,Wholesale Price Index (WPI) inflation is expected to decline by 1.0% in July 2025, following a 0.1% fall in June 2025, reflecting persistent softness in input costs, subdued global commodity prices, and easing transportation charges, particularly in fuel and freight. WPI recorded its first contraction since October 2023, led by a sharp fall in food and mineral oil prices. Money & Finance: India's financial markets in July 2025 were supported by steady yields, improving credit conditions, and sustained fiscal discipline. Dun & Bradstreet forecasts the 10-year G-Sec yield to remain around 6.3% in July 2025, reflecting continued investor confidence (the D & B Investment Confidence Index for India was 12.6% y/y higher for Q3 2025) and stable borrowing cost expectations. The 91-day T-Bill yield is expected to ease slightly to 5.3%, indicating improved liquidity conditions. The RBI cancelled the 14-day variable rate repo (VRR) auction for the third consecutive time in June, signaling that systemic liquidity remains comfortably in surplus. Meanwhile, bank credit growth is also projected to accelerate to 12.0% in July 2025, suggesting healthy uptake from MSMEs and retail borrowers. There was strong demand in the July G-Sec auction, which raised ₹36,000 crore across two papers, reflecting market confidence and robust investor appetite. External Sector: The Indian rupee has remained broadly stable through July 2025, supported by capital inflows and a narrowing trade deficit. Dun & Bradstreet expects the rupee to average around ₹85.9/USD in August 2025, close to ₹85.8/USD in July 2025, indicating relative stability despite global uncertainties. The forecast is supported by easing crude oil prices, and improved services exports. However, the rupee may face depreciation pressure due to FII outflows and loss in exports if significantly higher tariffs are implemented on India, though the RBI remains active in curbing excessive volatility and maintaining orderly currency movement. Arun Singh, Global Chief Economist, Dun & Bradstreet , said, "The additional 25% US tariffs on Indian exports (bringing the total to 50%) clouds the near-term outlook for trade and investment, though hope still remains for a negotiated settlement at lower rates in the months ahead. Domestically, the economy continues to display resilience, with industrial activity advancing at a measured pace. Inflationary pressures are easing on the back of softer food prices and proactive policy interventions. Monetary conditions remain supportive, with recent rate cuts and liquidity measures aimed at spurring credit growth and lowering borrowing costs for MSMEs and consumers. The external sector will draw some support from the India UK CEFTA, which targets a doubling of bilateral trade by 2030."
