As Chelsea manager, Hayes guided the Blues to seven Women's Super League titles – including five in succession – as well as winning the FA Cup five times and the League Cup twice.
Hayes left Chelsea in the summer of 2024 to become head coach of the United States women's team, with her side going on to win gold at the Paris Olympics.
'Beyond on-pitch success, it is Hayes' approach to leadership and relentless innovation that has paved the way for progress in women's sport,' the PFA said.

Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers crowned PFA's Young Player of the Year

Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers has been crowned the 2024/25 PFA's Young Player of the Year. He was recognised at the annual PFA Awards in Manchester on Tuesday evening, taking home the prestigious PFA prize. The attacking midfielder was a key cornerstone of Villa's side, as a sixth-placed finish secured European football for a third year running. Having missed just one Premier League match all season through suspension, Rogers made 37 appearances in the league, all of which being starts, playing a total of 3,129 minutes. The England international was voted for the award by his peers after a campaign which saw him rack up 18 goal contributions in 37 Premier League outings throughout 2024/25. Rogers was present alongside club officials at the star-studded ceremony at the Manchester Opera House, where he accepted the award up on stage. Rogers joined Aston Villa in February 2024, after completing a deadline-day move from Middlesbrough. Following his arrival at Villa Park, Rogers made his debut in a 5-0 victory at Sheffield United before scoring his first goal in claret and blue against Brentford in April. Further stellar performances continued at the start of the 2024/25 campaign, resulting in a maiden call-up to England's senior squad for November's international fixtures, where he made his Three Lions debut against Greece. The following week, Rogers was rewarded with a new contract at the club until 2030. Rogers' superb 2024/25 campaign was his first for Villa in the top flight and included a memorable hat-trick in the club's 4-2 UEFA Champions League triumph over Celtic.

Alejandro Garnacho rejects offer to leave Manchester United after Chelsea talks

Alejandro Garnacho has rejected an offer to leave Manchester United this summer as he holds out for a move to Chelsea, according to reports. Garnacho has long been destined to leave Manchester United after a falling out with Ruben Amorim at the end of last season. And despite an abundance of quality in the wide attacking areas, Chelsea are keen to welcome Garnacho to Stamford Bridge this summer. Garnacho is said to have already agreed personal terms with Chelsea, although the Blues still have to match United's valuation before a sale is sanctioned. The Red Devils want to raise around £50m from his sale but Chelsea value the player at around £30m. Metro's new weekly football newsletter: In The Mixer. Exclusive analysis, FPL tips and transfer talk sent straight to your inbox every Friday – sign up, it's an open goal. As Garnacho waits for Chelsea to stump up the necessary cash, other clubs have tried to steal a march and agree a deal for the 21-year-old. Widespread reports indicate that Bayern Munich are one such team who were keen to explore the possibility of a deal for Garnacho in the final weeks of the window. However, Garnacho is said to have informed the German giants that he only has eyes on a move to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are likely to have to raise funds through departures before they can make serious progress on a deal for Garnacho. Christopher Nkunku is one who looks likely to leave Chelsea this summer, although the Blues will only let the Frenchman go on a permannent deal. Bayern have already seen a loan offer rejected by Chelsea for the forward, but could still return with an offer to sign Nkunku permanently. Elsewhere, Nicolas Jackson could depart after the signings of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, with Aston Villa and Newcastle reportedly sizing up the possibility of a move for the Senegalese striker. More Trending Even if they complete a deal for Garnacho, Chelsea's transfer incomings may yet continue, with the club also interested in RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simmons. Simons, too, has already approved the move but Chelsea are yet to meet RB Leipzig's valuation for the Netherlands international. Chelsea began their 2025-26 Premier League campaign in underwhelming fashion, sharing a goalless draw with Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge. Enzo Maresca's side will look to get back to winning ways as they face the struggling West Ham in a London derby on Friday night. For more stories like this, check our sport page.
