Taiwanese star Jiro Wang, 43, laments that Labubu scalpers have taken everything from him and left him with nothing

TAIWAN: With the craze surrounding Labubu, it is not surprising that Taiwanese star Jiro Wang, 43 is also a fan of the furry toy, as reported by 8Days. Photo: Instagram/Jiro Wang It turns out the Fahrenheit member is a big fan of toys, collecting them enthusiastically. He often shares his excitement by unboxing Labubu blind boxes on live streams. In fact, he was even seen with his Labubu plush keychain, posing at the Merlion, during his trip to Singapore for Lady Gaga's concert last month. Relatable for Labubu collectors In a recent live stream, Wang opened up about a problem that many Labubu collectors will totally understand. While unboxing one of his super popular Labubu blind boxes, he vented, 'It's just ridiculous how scalpers are buying up all the Labubu toys and then selling them for crazy prices. It's truly infuriating. They've made it impossible for me to even buy anything in stores anymore! Wicked people He didn't hold back, saying, 'Sure, you can get those [Labubu] boxes—if you're willing to pay two or three times the original price. But… I don't think we should let the scalpers win. I even call them 'wicked people,' because that's what they are. We absolutely can't let them get away with this, and I don't support what they're doing at all.' Others agreed with Jiro's perspective, while others thought his tirade was funny. One person online joked, 'Wait, so even famous people can't get their hands on Labubu now?' As you might expect, some people just couldn't wrap their heads around the whole Labubu craze. One netizen even chimed in with a shrug, asking, 'It's just a doll, what's so great about it anyway?' If anything, Wang's passionate rant about scalpers only proved that the Labubu hype is still going strong. Jiro Wang, a Taiwanese singer and actor born on August 24, 1981, is also a former model. He's best known as a member of the Mandopop boy band Fahrenheit. Attended Lady Gaga's concert Just a few days after attending Lady Gaga's concert on May 24, Wang—formerly of Fahrenheit—was spotted at Merlion Park on May 27. The 43-year-old Taiwanese singer-actor was spotted posing for pictures at the tourist destination in several posts on Xiaohongshu the day was at a building near The Fullerton Hotel when he was asked by fans for photos and he obliged. Wang has been sharing Instagram Stories of his hotel stay, which boasts a view of a gorgeous, lush forest. While he only tagged his location as Singapore, the photos he posted made it clear he was staying at the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, a brand new spot that just opened its doors in April.
