Remember when Diljit Dosanjh relished the most expensive coffee in London? The coffee cost him Rs 30,000. In a funny video, Diljit documented the whole experience.
He can be heard saying, 'I want to drink the Japan Typica coffee. This is too pricey. They are measuring and pouring everything despite taking so much money. I am going to drink something pure now. I am not going to have food today, this is the only thing I'll have. Each sip is worth Rs 7,000.' Diljit, in his signature style, added, "Itne mein India mein shaadi attend kar leta (I would have attended a wedding in India for this price)" He said, "Alag feel karoon, yeh toh pheeki hai coffee (Should I feel different... this is bland". In the video, he also quips, "Saath mein laddoo, boondi bhi le aao, it is London's most expensive coffee (Get some snacks with it too)."

Internet Praises Couple in China For Getting Married At Dog Shelter
A couple in China won the internet by tying the knot in a dog shelter. The wedding ceremony was completed in the presence of 200 rescued dogs and over 300 volunteers. The 31-year-old Yang hails from Tianjin City in northern China and operates the dog shelter, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported. The report mentioned that the man was once a rich construction boss with assets exceeding US$1.4 million. But the pandemic changed everything. As per the report, his business suffered huge losses because of the lockdown, forcing him to sell almost all of his possessions, including his house and two cars, in order to pay his debts and employees. Later, he became passionate about dog rescue and dedicated his life to making sure the furry friends receive all the love and care they deserve. The report also mentioned that he had lost five puppies to illness during his childhood, a heartbreak that played an important role in his decision. He also spoke to people for support and started to recruit volunteers. "I had only 23 yuan left in my pocket at that time. That was the entirety of the shelter's funds," Yang said as quoted. Zhao, the bride, joined the shelter as a volunteer in 2022. She was a university student at that time. She showed compassion for the dogs and even donated her entire part-time earnings to buy dog food. They started working together and grew closer. Their love blossomed, and they decided to get married. View this post on Instagram A post shared by 8days (@8dayssg) For the wedding, Yang insisted on holding the ceremony in front of his furry companions so that they could be part of the special occasion. And both agreed. One social media user called it "Super". He said, "The dogs must have been so thrilled and happy! Bless the couple for this wonderful thought!" "They will be blessed by those voiceless angels, their days are going to be filled with happiness as they both have a big compassionate loving hearts," another user added. "The only wedding guest I want," one user said.

Sitaare Zameen Par Day 6 India Box Office: Aamir Khan led feel good dramedy adds healthy Rs 7.25 crore to it's domestic tally
Sitaare Zameen Par directed by RS Prasanna and starring Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh and others, registered a healthy Wednesday, putting up a hefty Rs 7.25 crore net. The weekday drops for the Aamir Khan feature are not too big, indicating a good, strong run ahead. The 6 day cume of Sitaare Zameen Par stands at Rs 82 crore and the week should close with roughly Rs 88.5-89 crore. The Day Wise Net India Collections Of Sitaare Zameen Par Are As Under Day India Net Collections 1 Rs 10.50 crore 2 Rs 20 crore 3 Rs 26.25 crore 4 Rs 8.50 crore 5 Rs 8.50 crore 6 Rs 7.25 crore Total Rs 82 crore net in 6 days Sitaare Zameen Par Shall Net Around Rs 89 Crore In India In Week 1; To Compete With Few New Releases In The Coming Week Sitaare Zameen Par welcomes a few new rivals in the form of F1, Kannappa and Maa. However, the RS Prasanna directorial may well be the week's number 1 option given the momentum that it is carrying and considering that the other abovementioned movies cater to a much smaller set of audience. It is in the week after, with the release of Jurassic World: Rebirth and Metro... In Dino that things get tighter. However, Sitaare Zameen Par will have managed most of its business by then. Sitaare Zameen Par Crosses USD 4 Million Internationally Internationally, Sitaare Zameen Par has crossed the USD 4 million mark in 6 days. For the low start of the movie, it is legging out pretty well. However, the weekday trend doesn't suggest a major breakout that the weekend trend was suggesting. The movie seemed to struggle for a USD 2 million weekend but it packed a little over USD 3 million instead. It is to be seen if the movie can get to USD 10 million in its full run (first phase of international release) or not. For Aamir Khan, USD 10 million international cume is not anything unfamiliar since his films from 15 years back have also breached that number. The second phase of international release, if it happens, will be interesting to keep an eye on. Sitaare Zameen Par Crosses Laal Singh Chaddha Globally Sitaare Zameen Par has crossed Laal Singh Chaddha at the worldwide box office. The 2022 Independence day release had grossed slightly over Rs 130 crore worldwide and Sitaare Zameen Par has gone past that. While it is not right to compare a disastrous performer with a film that's doing pretty well for itself, it makes sense in this case because the former is a lower budgeted flick and above that, it is also a post-pandemic drama genre movie; which holds limited theatrical appeal. Diljit Dosanjh's Sardaar Ji 3 Gets Pakistan Release; Indian Fans Outraged: 'This Is Shameful'
Last Updated: The decision to release the movie, co-starring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, in Pakistan has sparked massive outrage online, with Diljit's Indian fans calling the move 'shameful'. In a move that has left fans across India shocked and disappointed, Diljit Dosanjh's upcoming Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3 is set to release in Pakistan on June 27, despite ongoing tensions between the two nations. The decision to release the movie, co-starring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, in Pakistan has sparked massive outrage online, with Diljit's Indian fans calling the move 'shameful" and 'disrespectful," especially in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack in April this year, where 26 innocent civilians were killed. Screenshots of theatre listings from Pakistani cities like Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Faisalabad and Sialkot have now gone viral on social media, confirming that Sardaar Ji 3 will have a full-fledged theatrical run across the border. The controversy has prompted not just from the film's release but also from the casting of Hania Aamir at a time when Indian film bodies have taken a hard stance against working with Pakistani artists. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), which has historically protested such collaborations, reiterated its demand for a ban on Pakistani talent after the recent terror attack. The film's trailer is also not accessible in India. Users attempting to watch it on YouTube are met with the message: 'This video is not available in your country." Despite the uproar, the producers released a statement claiming that the film had been shot 'well before the prevailing situation," and that Hania was cast before the Pahalgam tragedy. 'We had decided not to release the film or any of its promotional content in India until the situation becomes opportune," the statement read, describing the decision as one made out of 'solidarity" with the country. But fans aren't buying it. Diljit, who commands a massive fan base in India and overseas, is being called out for continuing to promote the film while remaining silent on the backlash. Instagram comment sections on his recent posts are flooded with disappointment. 'Shame on you, Diljit," wrote one user. 'Boycott Sardaar Ji 3," said another. A third added, 'Country first. You lost a fan today." This has opened a fresh debate about celebrity accountability in times of national distress. Actor Suniel Shetty recently took a strong stance supporting the ban on Pakistani artists, saying, 'Art and cricket can't happen with people who kill our innocents." Similarly, actor Harshvardhan Rane decided to exit the upcoming Sanam Teri Kasam 2 over the possible inclusion of Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane. The producers eventually confirmed her removal from the cast, bowing to the growing public sentiment. In stark contrast, Diljit's continued association with Sardaar Ji 3 and his support for its overseas release even in Pakistan has upset many. What's added more fuel to the fire is that the film doesn't just feature Hania Aamir but several other Pakistani actors, including Nasir Chinyoti, Daniel Khawar, and Saleem Albela, are also part of the ensemble. Directed by Amar Hundal, Sardaar Ji 3 is a horror-comedy that revolves around ghost hunters (played by Diljit and Hania) tackling supernatural events in a haunted UK mansion. Neeru Bajwa also stars in a pivotal role. In his first comment on the issue, Diljit told BBC Asian Network, 'Jab yeh film bani thi, tab sab theek tha… Producers ka paisa laga hua hai… Film bann chuki thi before tensions started." He added that he supports the producers' decision to release it overseas, acknowledging the financial risks they face. FWICE has now urged the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to deny a release certificate to Sardaar Ji 3, claiming that the film goes 'against national interest." While the film may be finding screens in foreign markets, its rejection in its home country by both institutions and fans sends a loud and clear message. The incident has raised some urgent questions – Can art really remain apolitical in the face of terrorism? Should filmmakers and stars be more conscious of the broader national implications of their decisions? It remains to be seen whether Diljit will break his silence and confront the backlash head-on or if the controversy will continue to snowball. First Published:
