Brighton 0-1 Everton - the fans' verdict
We asked for your thoughts after Saturday's Premier League game between Brighton and Everton. Here are some of your comments:Brighton fansSE: Every year Everton and Jordan Pickford come to the Amex and time-waste. The officials are oblivious to it and they need training. How we lost is beyond me but we were toothless up top again.Chris: We were half the team that we had been against Man Utd. We deserved nothing. Little energy, little desire. Creativity almost non-existent. A real anti-climax to a great month.Colin: We could have played all night and not scored. It was vital to get the first goal and apart from a couple of early occasions we never got behind the Everton full-backs and completely ran out of ideas of how to break down a strong defence guarding a one-goal lead. Joel Veltman knew what he was doing for the handball and didn't have his best game. Another frustrating watch.Neil: Absolutely rubbish - no attacking ideas, stale. Buy someone quickly.Everton fansPaul: Sometimes, particularly away from home, you just have to win ugly. So, obviously very poor going forward and in possession but a hard-working midfield and solid defence should guarantee we are in the Premier League in the new stadium. At this stage, that's all that matters for Everton.Jason: The Moysiah has come back to keep us in the Premier League and lead us into the new stadium as a top flight side. I am utterly delighted he's come back, and at this stage care only about results, not necessarily performances. They will come in time.Dave: Bit disjointed at the back largely but still dug in and defended as a pack. A more pacy outlet is needed to ease the pressure at the back. The players' reactions on the field and the dugout at full-time speaks volumes. This is down to the change of manager who values every individual.Mark: A superb away win showing team spirit, commitment and resolve. Our depleted ranks held firm but we might have suffered some vital injury losses. If ever we needed reinforcement, it's certainly now.

A 21-year-old man has skateboarded from Brighton to Africa in 55 Allison skated some 1,500 miles (2,415km) to Tangier in Morocco - taking a downhill tumble and getting all his possessions stolen along the he kept going to raise awareness of mental health and has so far made more than £5,000 for the Ben Raemers Foundation, a charity supporting wellbeing in the skateboarding community."I had my own challenges with mental health," said Mr Allison. "The skate scene is very tight-knit, it's very community driven, so having a service like that within the community is amazing." It was a gruelling physical challenge, which Mr Allison told BBC Radio Sussex meant he would need to cover between 30 and 55 miles every day."It was definitely harder at first. But my body kinda got used to it pretty quick and it just felt like the norm because I would wake up and I just knew what I had to do every day," he on a skateboard on flat pavements is one thing - but Mr Allison's route got a little bumpy at times."Going up was definitely harder - but downwards is a saving grace because I could save all my energy going downhill, I wouldn't have to push and it was super fun, the adrenalin [was] running," he said."But I did have a bit of a tumble going down one of the hills, my arm got a bit scraped up."All in all I think I've done pretty well - I only fell the one time during the whole trip, so I'm proud of that."After setting his fundraising target at only £100, Mr Allison was amazed as the donations started rolling in."On the last day I cracked over £5,000, which was crazy. It just sort of went mad," he the money will be going to charity, while Mr Allison will no doubt need to invest in a new pair of wheels for his skateboard."I did the one pair of wheels - I will say they're absolutely haggard," he laughed.

Premier League stars to be interviewed moments after being subbed in huge change
The Premier League is looking to provide greater value for broadcasters which will see more demands place on players around and during matches with cameras offered increasing access Premier League television coverage will see the stunning decision to add touchline interviews during games, with players who have been substituted in 2025/26. With seven weeks until the top-flight returns to action, it is one of a number of changes that will be permitted to broadcasters for the new term. The division has asked clubs for greater access to produce 'US-style innovations' as the new broadcast deal gets underway. Camera operators will be permitted to enter the field of play in order to capture teams' celebrations after goals and there will also be access granted to club's changing rooms. Some of those changes have already been seen as trials were undertaken last season. Bournemouth's James Tavernier for example, was interviewed after being replaced against Southampton in October. Such media interactions will only take place once stars are sufficiently cooled down on the sideline, while play continues. There will be limitations to the innovations however, with all three unlikely to occur at the same time in all matches, per reports. Steadicams will be utilised when entering the pitch during goal celebrations. They will reportedly only be allowed on the field for a matter of seconds during these moments rather than in any stoppage. Camera operators will not be permitted into the area during team talks. The division appears to be attempting to give broadcasters greater value for the start of a record deal, worth more than £6.7 billion over four years from Sky Sports and TNT Sports. As the changes are introduced for the first time, there may be some patience over the pace of adaptation. There is said to be a large dependence on the co-operation of individual clubs even with a limited a roll-out. However, there is expected to be dressing-room access and player interviews at two home games for each club involved. The broadcast deal is the 'largest sports media rights deal ever concluded in the UK'. Sky will broadcast a minimum of 215 games in 2025/26 after winning four of five packages. Their coverage will include Saturday 5.30pm kick-offs, Sunday 2pm and 4.30pm kick-offs, plus evening games on Mondays and Fridays and three midweek rounds. In a major change, every 2pm Sunday kick-off will be shown on television, even when multiple games are played. Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
