Three Beer Themed Days Highlight A Delicious August
Almost every day is a great day to drink beer but some days maybe are better than others? In August, three days highlight beer's range of flavors, aromas and styles that will turn you into a beer geek for sure. Two of the three days in August also celebrate the IPA, one of the most popular beer styles in the U.S.
Below you'll find the three specialty beer days and how to best celebrate beer at its best.

Started in Santa Cruz, California in 2007, International Beer Day is a wide day to enjoy all manner of beers.
The day has three main goals: To gather with friends and enjoy the taste of beer, to celebrate those responsible for brewing and serving beer and to unite the world under the banner of beer, by celebrating the beers of all nations together on a single day.
So on International Beer Day, the number one thing is to enjoy beer with people you care most about. The holiday also celebrates the gift of giving beer to all manner of people from brewers in the industry to your favorite brewery tasting room beertender. These people work really hard to serve you your favorite pints and they should be rewarded with the gift of, well, your favorite beer!
Lastly, the day is all about uniting beer lovers throughout the world. From Germany to South Africa to Japan, beer is a global beverage that deserves your attention. Perhaps on International Beer Day you try a style new to you like the Polish grodziske (also known as a gratzer) with its soft wheat and smoke flavor or a Catharina sour, a Brazilian style that's a mingling of sour flavors with fresh fruits like passionfruit or mango.

Started by former beer writer Ashley Routson, this is one of the most popular beer days on the calendar with many breweries and people celebrating. IPA or India pale ale, is a very popular style of beer where the hops, one of the main ingredients in beer, are the key factor in aroma and flavor. Hops, an agricultural product, have oils in them and depending on the variety, where they are grown in the world and how they are used in the brewing process, can impart lots of different flavors/aromas to beer from floral to citrusy to tropical and beyond. IPAs can be non-alcoholic and they can be 14% ABV. They can be golden, they can be dark. It's a very versatile style that has something for everyone.
National IPA day was started in 2011 with Routson and some industry friends at the helm and it blew up that year and now has taken on a life of its own. To celebrate, see if any of your local breweries are doing anything special or it's easy as celebrating by opening up your favorite IPA.
Sierra Nevada's hazy IPA day celebrates all things hazy in August. Sierra Nevada Brewing Company Hazy IPA Day - August 21 (Third Thursday In August)
Started by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in 2023, the newest beer day on the block celebrates a specific style of hazy IPA, which is currently one of the most popular styles of IPA on the market. Hazy IPAs (also known as New England IPAs) usually have a fuller body and a juicy flavor from the hops. The juiciness is also in the appearance as the beer can look like a big glass of orange juice. Hazy IPAs can be non-alcoholic or they can be very strong, upwards of 12% ABV. Sierra Nevada created the holiday to show off their large range of hazy IPAs including the best selling Hazy Little Thing.
Celebrating Hazy IPA Day is easy, just drink them! Since they are so popular, visit your local brewery to see if they make this style or visit a local beer shop to see what they have available.
Cheers to a tasty month and remember to drink responsibly with people you truly care about.

Nancy Meyers shades 'The Holiday 'series in the works at Apple TV+: 'News to me'
"Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw," the filmmaker said of the project's points The Holiday is receiving a limited series at Apple TV+. Nancy Meyers, the writer/director behind the original 2006 movie, shaded the announcement of the project on Instagram. Meyers previously shot down rumors that a sequel to the movie was in the works with Cameron Diaz and Kate Holiday is getting a TV series — but Nancy Meyers doesn't sound too happy about it. The filmmaker, who wrote and directed the 2006 Christmas rom-com of the same name, reacted to the announcement that Apple TV+ is adapting her movie into a limited series. "News to me," Meyers wrote in an Instagram Story atop a screenshot of a Hollywood Reporter post about the TV show. "Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw. 🤔" The Holiday limited series on Apple TV+ will be written and executive produced by Krissie Ducker (Sweetpea) and will see input from Rob Delaney (Catastrophe) as a consultant, Entertainment Weekly has learned. Deadline first reported the news, noting that Meyers has no involvement in the project, and that well-known actresses are being considered for the lead roles. Meyers' The Holiday starred Cameron Diaz as a workaholic movie trailer editor in Los Angeles and Kate Winslet as a London journalist pining after her ex-slash-coworker. The two women spontaneously decide to do a house swap and each fall in love with a local across the pond. Diaz is paired up with Jude Law, who played Winslet's character's brother, while Winslet couples with Jack Black, a charismatic musician. The original Holiday grossed over $200 million at the global box office, making it Meyers' fourth-biggest hit as a director (behind What Women Want, Something's Gotta Give, and It's Complicated). The Holiday has maintained a sizable following since its original release, as its Christmastime setting has inspired consistent wintertime rewatches among rom-com fans. However, despite the film's continued popularity, Meyers confirmed that she has no plans to revisit the movie in 2022. The filmmaker shot down rumors that Diaz and Winslet had boarded a sequel in an Instagram post. "So many DM's about this. Sorry but it's not true," Meyers wrote in a caption of a Daily Mail screenshot claiming that the original cast would return for a sequel. The director also recently revealed that she didn't expect the film to become a Christmas classic. "I never thought it would be, you know, a movie that you watched during the holidays.... Didn't think of it that way," she told the Hollywood Gold podcast. "I just really wanted to tell the story about these people. I set it at Christmas because that can be lonely. As I noted to myself last night while I was watching, they're all damaged."Meyers has not directed a film since 2015's The Intern. She attempted to helm a new project, tentatively titled Paris Paramount, for Netflix, but the project stalled after disagreements on the budget. Scarlett Johansson, Owen Wilson, Penélope Cruz, and Michael Fassbender were all reportedly in talks to star in the film. Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly

The Gilded Age Season 4: Cast, Release Date, and Latest News
Karolina Wojtasik/HBO The Gilded Age is hitting its stride in season three, so why not go for the gold? On July 28, the head of HBO's drama series and films department confirmed the fourth season while praising Downton Abbey's Julian Fellowes for creating another prime example of ''can't-miss it' entertainment," this time set in 1880s New York and starring the likes of Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Audra McDonald, and Cynthia Nixon. According to Variety, The Gilded Age continues to break its own viewership records—and fans aren't the only ones on the edge of their seats. "We're delighted to continue exploring these characters' grand ambitions for what we promise will be a thrilling fourth season,' HBO's Francesca Orsi said in their statement. As we patiently await the season three finale, here's everything we know about The Gilded Age season four. When will The Gilded Age season four air? No timeline has been announced as we're still deep in the throes of season three, which will come to a close on August 10. While the first two seasons aired in fall-winter months of 2022 and 2023, season three began airing in June 2025. It's possible HBO will try to capitalize on this season's viewership success by sticking to a summer release, depending on the production schedule. Who will star in season four? Of course, there's no word yet on who will or will not be returning. The Gilded Age currently stars a host of legendary actors, from those previously mentioned to Donna Murphy and Debra Monk. Season three also introduced Phylicia Rashad as Brian Stokes, who will hopefully continue to grace our screens in season four as Elizabeth and Frederick Kirkland. As for the younger generation of actors, Meryl Streep's youngest daughter Louisa Jacobson continues to portray Marian Brook, the orphaned niece of Ada Forte (Nixon) and Agnes van Rhijn (Baranski). Denée Benton plays Peggy Scott, the daughter of Audra McDonald's Dorothy Scott. New Here How *The Gilded Age*'s Denée Benton Made Sure Peggy Scott's Story Was Told Right The Broadway vet opens up about changes she advocated for on the set of the new HBO series. The rest of the cast includes Morgan Spector, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Blake Ritson, Ben Ahlers, Ashlie Atkinson, Dylan Baker, Kate Baldwin, Victoria Clark, John Ellison Conlee, Michael Cumpsty, Kelley Curran, Jordan Donica, Jessica Frances Dukes, Claybourne Elder, Amy Forsyth, Jack Gilpin, LisaGay Hamilton, Ward Horton, Simon Jones, Sullivan Jones, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Ben Lamb, Nathan Lane, Andrea Martin, Hattie Morahan, Kristine Nielsen, Paul Alexander Nolan, Kelli O'Hara, Patrick Page, Rachel Pickup, Taylor Richardson, Douglas Sills, Bobby Steggert, Erin Wilhelmi, John Douglas Thompson, Leslie Uggams, Merritt Wever, and Bill Camp. Wait, wait, wait…don't skip past Gladys Russell so fast! Of course, one of the biggest shocks of season three centered around Gladys Russell (Taissa Farmiga), who was married off to the Duke of Buckingham (Ben Lamb) by her mother, Bertha (Carrie Coon) and father George (Morgan Spector). This left fans devastated for Gladys, who was betrayed and abandoned by everyone meant to care for her, including the man she wanted to marry for love, Billy Carlton (Matt Walker). That left Bertha and Gladys on very shaky ground, though the mother-daughter duo later joined forces to assert the new duchess' dominance over Sidmouth Castle. Still, how much of season four can possibly take place in England? It's not like we've seen much of Daphne Bridgerton since she married her Duke at the end of Bridgerton season they didn't even leave the continent! For now, we'll just have to wait and see how the rest of season three shakes out. The Gilded Age season three finale airs on August 10 at 9:00 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max. This post will be updated from there.
