Williamstown woman dies in multi-car crash in New York

HOOSICK, N.Y. (WWLP) – A two-vehicle crash in New York on Thursday resulted in the death of a Williamstown woman and multiple injuries.
New York State Police shared in a news release that at approximately 10:32 a.m. on Thursday, troopers were called to the intersection of State Route 7 and State Route 22 in Hoosick for a serious two-car crash. Troopers arriving in the area observed one vehicle off the roadway, and the other in the westbound lane of Route 7.

Emergency medical services from multiple agencies were at the location of the incident, rendering aid as police arrived. The operator of one of the vehicles, identified as 25-year-old Susan Alexis Joe of Petersburgh, N.Y., was found outside of the car with leg and hip injuries. She was brought to Albany Medical Center to be treated.
The driver and front seat passenger of the second vehicle were removed from the car by emergency responders. The driver, identified as 82-year-old Elizabeth Cain of North Adams, was brought to the hospital with a leg injury. The passenger, 84-year-old Claire Boyer of Williamstown, passed away at the location of the crash.
New York State Police determined through preliminary investigation that Cain was traveling northbound on State Route 22 and crashed into Joe's vehicle when attempting to turn westbound onto State Route 7.
The incident is currently being investigated by New York State Police.

It happened in front of the Meijer on Perry Avenue near US-131 around 1 p.m. The Mecosta County Sheriff's Department says the 77-year-old man pulled out of the road to Meijer and into the path of a westbound car, causing the crash. The 77-year-old, from Reed City, was not wearing his seat belt and was thrown from his car, the sheriff's department said. He was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening. One killed in early morning crash in downtown Milwaukee

A 30-year-old was killed in an early morning crash downtown, according to a statement from the Milwaukee Police Department. Police say that a vehicle traveling west on W. State Street collided with a second vehicle driving north on N. Sixth Street around 6:07 a.m. on June 7. The driver of the northbound car, 30, succumbed to injuries from the crash. The 20-year-old driver of the westbound car was taken into custody. Authorities are still investigating the incident and the 20-year-old driver may face charges, the police statement noted. Eighteen individuals in Milwaukee have died from injuries sustained in traffic crashes this year to date.
