Scarlett Johansson Makes Michael Che Squirm As She Gets 'SNL' Revenge

Yahoo18-05-2025

Scarlett Johansson found the perfect way to make Michael Che eat his words during this weekend's episode on 'Saturday Night Live.'
During the return of the 'Weekend Update' Joke Swapping bit, the Marvel star had Che read off the most mortifying apology for a 'tasteless' quip he had her husband, Colin Jost, tell about her private parts late last year.
'The fact is, I was just lashing out because I'm jealous,' he said, barely able to keep a straight face. 'I've never ever seen a human vagina. And notice I said 'human' because I once spent the summer on a farm.'
'Maybe I'm just embarrassed about my own body,' the fake news anchor continued. 'I can't even take my hoodie off during sex because I have more nipples than a pregnant dog.'
Then turning to Jost, Che forced himself to say, 'I've told thousands of jokes on 'Update' and gotten dozens of laughs, but I've never said the three most important words of all: I love you.'
The humiliating bit was payback for last December's 'Saturday Night Live' joke swap, when Jost announced Costco was removing the roast beef sandwich from its menu and then said, 'But I ain't trippin', I've been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid.'
Backstage cameras caught Johansson reacting to the crude quip in real time, and she knew she Che had to get his comeuppance.
She teased her plan in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, telling the magazine, 'I feel like it's almost my responsibility to come up with some way to burn Michael back. Retaliation, I'd say, should be expected.'

‘Wicked: For Good' Trailer: Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Get Ready to Meet Dorothy

Oscar-nominated 'Wicked' stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are ready to close out the musical epic for good. The duo reprise their respective roles of Glinda and Elphaba for Part Two, 'Wicked: For Good,' directed by Jon M. Chu. And this time, Oz will have a new visitor: Dorothy (Alisha Weir). 'Wicked: For Good' spans a series of years, beginning with Erivo's Elphaba AKA the Wicked Witch now being an enemy of the state. Glinda (formerly Galinda) is the spokesperson for Oz thanks to her appointment by the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum), with her former teacher Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) literally singing her praises. Glinda also just might have a wedding on the horizon to Jonathan Bailey's Fiyero, despite him blatantly lusting after Elphaba. This all leads into when Dorothy's house flies into Oz and the iconic 'Wizard of Oz' character walks the yellow brick road. It went on to land 10 Oscar nominations, and winning for costume and production design. 'Wicked' also won the Golden Globe for cinematic and box office achievement. Director Chu told Vanity Fair that the two parts of 'Wicked' will feel like one complete epic film, despite them being released a year apart. 'What's nice about movie two is it's so different from movie one that it doesn't feel like we're talking about what you just saw. It's the new chapter,' Chu said, teasing of the plot, 'Our heart was broken when Glinda can't make the choice that we want her to so badly at the end of movie one, and it feels empowering for Elphaba to fly away from society. In movie two, we get to see the consequences of those choices. The temperature is up.' Chu added, 'We want to finish this story in the way that this beautiful memory of 'Wicked' can actually come full circle and can be with you for the rest of your life. We want you to look at both movies in the end, and feel like it was one all along.' Universal will release 'Wicked: For Good' in theaters November 21. Check out the trailer below. Jimmy Fallon Makes Shocking Admission About His Obsession With Getting On 'SNL'

Jimmy Fallon was set on getting 'Saturday Night Live' by the age of 25. The late night talk show host opened up about what he would do if he didn't land a part on the show by that time, during a candid interview with Steven Bartlett on 'The Diary of a CEO' podcast. 'I was going to kill myself,' the 'Fever Pitch' actor said. 'Were you actually?' Bartlett asked. 'Yeah,' Fallon answered. 'I wrote that in something ― in some journal or something. If I don't get on 'Saturday Night Live' by the age of 25, that I'll kill myself.' When Bartlett asked if Fallon was actually serious about what he'd written, he confirmed that he was. 'But again, I knew that I was going to be on 'Saturday Night Live,' so I guess I didn't really mean it,' the actor said, clarifying that his statement then 'wasn't really a threat.' 'I think I said, 'I will kill myself,'' he shared. 'But I definitely said ― you know ― yeah, 25 was my thing.' Fallon has revealed his intense drive to be on the show before, and said that his obsession with 'SNL' started at an early age. 'I wanted to be Dana Carvey,' Fallon told Carvey and David Spade on their 'SNL' podcast, 'Fly on the Wall,' back in 2022. 'That was my whole reason for getting on 'Saturday Night Live.'' 'I was such an 'SNL' nerd, I would record it every single Saturday night and I would be by myself,' he shared on the podcast. 'I didn't want friends over, I didn't want anyone around me, my parents ― I didn't want anyone near me. I just wanted to study the show.' Fallon ended up getting the show by his self-imposed deadline, and stayed on 'SNL' for six seasons, from 1998 to 2004.
