Kiara Advani
, who is currently embracing motherhood with the birth of her baby girl, has also been grabbing headlines for her stunning transformation and powerful action scenes in the upcoming film 'War 2'.
While the actor is cherishing the joys of new mum life, glimpses from the trailer of 'War 2' have left fans awestruck, particularly her high-energy sequences and lean, action-ready look.
Not crash dieting, but clean and sustainable eating
In a chat with Pinkvilla, celebrity nutritionist Nicole Linhares Kedia explained, 'Kiara had a fairly clean eating style, she loves ghar ka khana but for this transformation. The biggest change was dialing in her macros, specifically increasing her protein intake while keeping her in a steady caloric deficit.
We had to be extremely precise. Our goal was to tone and build lean muscle while reducing body fat, and that meant every ingredient had to be measured, even down to the oil used in cooking or a few shavings of Parmesan on her Buddha bowl.
It wasn't about removing foods she loved, but optimising what she ate to align with getting her into her best shape.'
Protein pancakes were her morning staple
Despite a packed training schedule and rigorous shoot hours, Kiara maintained her daily rituals especially her breakfast.

Her go-to meal to kickstart the day? Protein pancakes. These pancakes were made using oat flour, walnut flour and protein powder. She would top them with maple syrup or monk fruit sweetener, fresh berries, and a generous dollop of homemade hazelnut butter. The high-protein, fibre-rich breakfast gave her a satisfying and energising start to the day, while still aligning with her fitness goals.
Grilled chicken, curries and veggies for main meals
Kiara's lunch and dinner plates were always full of flavour and nourishment.
Nicole revealed, 'Lunch and dinner often featured grilled chicken, chicken curries, asparagus, baby potatoes, avocado, edamame pesto hummus, vegetable crudites, foods she genuinely enjoys. We kept her meals light but high in protein and tailored them closely to her training and shoot schedule.'
Her desi secret for post-workout recovery
For her post-workout and snack sessions, Kiara returned to a familiar Indian classic, sattu chaas. This refreshing drink is made using roasted Bengal gram flour, jeera (cumin) powder and coriander leaves.
Known for its cooling properties and high protein content, this old-school remedy helped her stay hydrated and refuelled without turning to protein shakes or energy bars. This choice once again reflected Kiara's commitment to incorporating traditional, wholesome Indian foods into her fitness journey.
Kiara's high-octane role in 'War 2'
Kiara Advani isn't just romancing onscreen in 'War 2', she's taking charge, quite literally. The trailer has taken fans by surprise with her full-fledged action avatar. From aiming a gun at
Hrithik Roshan
's character to engaging in a gripping combat scene, Kiara is clearly not playing a passive role.
Her involvement in gunfights and intense sequences hints that she has a far more pivotal role than initially expected.
'War 2', which also stars
Jr NTR
, is shaping up to be a high-stakes action thriller packed with showdowns, power-packed stunts and emotionally charged confrontations. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the much-awaited sequel is set for a release on 14 August 2025.

Bakaiti Season 1 Review: A mildly charming slice of middle-class life

Story: Set in old Ghaziabad, Bakaiti follows the Kataria family as siblings Naina (Tanya Sharma) and Bharat (Aditya Shukla) clash and connect, while their parents navigate grief, financial stress, and family chaos with resilience, humour, and unspoken love. Review: Bakaiti is a gentle, grounded portrayal of middle-class family dynamics that finds comfort in the mundane. Set in the bustling bylanes of old Ghaziabad, the series revolves around the Kataria Parivaar, whose everyday chaos—ranging from power cuts to passive-aggressive sibling squabbles—forms the core of this this 7-episode dramedy (each clocking in under 30 minutes). The central tension arises when Naina (Tanya Sharma), an ambitious and level-headed 21-year-old, is forced to share her room with Bharat (Aditya Shukla), her boundary-less teenage brother obsessed with cricket and pranks. Underneath their lighthearted bickering, the parents—Sanjay (Rajesh Tailang) and Sushma (Sheeba Chaddha)—quietly shoulder the burden of financial uncertainty and unspoken emotional wounds. Director Ameet Guptha focuses less on plot twists and more on textured interactions: sibling fights over their personal space, interrupted naps, and constant reminders for 'paani ki tanki bhar gai hain, motor band kar do, (tank is full, turn off the motor). These everyday details form the charm of Bakaiti, but also its limitation. While the show nails the relatability and rhythm of middle-class living, it stops short of delivering a truly resonant emotional payoff. The writing team (Tatsat Pandey, Gaurav Madan and Pranjali Dubey) smartly avoids melodrama, instead highlighting how even the smallest exchanges carry meaning in family life. But by staying too surface-level, it risks feeling inconsequential. That said, the performances elevate the material. After Bandish Bandits, Sheeba Chaddha and Rajesh Tailang return as parents, and yet again, their effortless chemistry bring warmth and unforced gravitas to their roles. Tanya Sharma and Aditya Shukla manage to capture the awkward love between siblings with believable flair. Bakaiti doesn't reinvent the wheel, nor does it try to. It is content being a modest, heartfelt glimpse into the mess and love of Indian households. For viewers seeking comfort in familiarity rather than high-stakes drama, this show will likely strike a chord. For others, it might feel too safe, too light to leave a lasting mark. Overall, it's a breezy but heartfelt watch that celebrates the unglamorous, unsaid parts of family life—worth a try if you're in the mood for something simple and sincere.

Yuzvendra Chahal Says He Was Called 'Cheater' After Divorce With Dhanashree: 'I Had Suicidal Thoughts'

Last Updated: Yuzvendra Chahal revealed he was labelled a "cheater" after divorce, faced anxiety attacks and suicidal thoughts, and found support in friends like Mahvash. Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has opened up for the first time about the mental health challenges he faced following his much-publicised divorce from choreographer and influencer Dhanashree Verma. In an interview on the Raj Shamani podcast, Chahal shared that he was wrongly labelled as a 'cheater" after the separation, despite having been loyal throughout the relationship. 'After my divorce, I was called cheater. And I have never cheated in my life. I'm an extremely loyal person. You wouldn't even find a loyal person like me. I deeply care about my people," he said. Chahal expressed that what hurt him the most was how people jumped to conclusions without knowing the full story. 'That's what affects me that you guys don't even know what has happened and yet you are blaming me," he added. Chahal, known for his calm demeanour on the field, said he struggled with the intense trolling and baseless assumptions that flooded the internet after his breakup. 'Just because I'm seen with someone doesn't mean you'll write anything for views. And if you react and speak up, then 10 more people will come and troll you even more. Because they want masala all the time," he said, referring to his alleged relationship with RJ Mahvash. 'I know my truth and the people who are close to me know my truth so I don't care. Why do I justify to anybody when I haven't done anything wrong?" he added firmly. 'I Was In Depression For 5 Months": Yuzvendra Chahal The leg-spinner revealed that during this emotionally turbulent period, he experienced severe anxiety and even suicidal thoughts. 'I'd been in depression for four to five months. I got anxiety attacks. Only my close ones know this. I have never shared this anywhere for sympathy. I used to have suicidal thoughts because my mind had completely stopped working," Chahal admitted. He further revealed that he took a break from cricket to deal with his mental health. Despite having all the material comforts in life, he said he felt empty. 'You have everything in your life, all the luxuries, but you still don't have happiness. Then you get these thoughts — what to do with this life, just leave it," he shared. Yuzvendra Chahal Credits RJ Mahvash For Her Constant Support Chahal credited his close friends, including Pratik Pawar and RJ Mahvash, for helping him during his lowest phase. 'I didn't want to share it with my family because I didn't want to bother them. So, my close friends really helped me during this period. They were with me," he concluded.
