Daily Mail07-05-2025

Former child star Mason Ramsey has set the internet ablaze after teaming up with another viral star for an Instagram video.
Mason found overnight fame in 2018 as an 11-year-old when footage of him belting out a rendition of Hank Williams' Lovesick Blues in the aisles of Walmart hit the internet.
Seven years on from his yodeling clip going viral, Mason teamed up with another icon of the 2010s - Nick Wilikins, a TikTok star who became a meme for his striking resemblance to Rudy Pankow - who played JJ Maybank on the Netflix teen drama series Outer Banks.
In an Instagram video, the pair were seen deciding who was the most famous meme -with Nick recreating his 'thirst trap' poses, while Mason sang Lovesick Blues.
The clip was captioned: 'when the two friends who used to be memes hang out'.
Fans were quick to comment, typing: 'I'M CRYING I LOVE YOU BOTH SM'; 'MASON AND NICK COLLAB?! my life is finally complete';
Others added: 'I actually LOVE Mason Ramsey music'; 'OMG, THE BEST COLLAB EVER, also u sound good'; 'Lovesick Blues 2025 reprise wasn't something I knew I needed until now';
'AHHHSJSJJS MASON OH MYYYGOD'; 'Y'all are so iconic together'; 'JJ Maybank and the yodeling Walmart kid?!?! Nick really be doing collabs with anybody and everybody';
'I...I can't believe yodel kid is hot now'; ' OMG AINT NO WAY THIS IS REAL(ps in like 2020 I listened to your music so much my sister got sick of it and smashed my laptop)';
'OMGGGG THE COLLAB I NEVER THOUGHT I NEEDED LOL!!! Btw Mason you sound so good singing lovesick blues now omg I love the sound so much! You should record yourself singing it again now :)'.
Mason, from Golconda, Illinois, became known around the world after his Walmart yodeling video and went on to sign a deal with Atlantic Records.
He also performed at Coachella and was featured on Ellen.
He revealed during his interview with Ellen DeGeneres that he had been yodeling since the age of three and would most like to collaborate with Blake Shelton.
'If the good Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise, I'll see you all again next time,' he shouted referencing Johnny Cash before leaving the show.
This resulted in a follow up concert at his local Walmart store, which was aired on Walmart's Facebook page, an appearance on Ellen and the original song, returning to the top of the charts.
Mason also be performed at Tennessee's Grand Ole Opry, a weekly country-music stage concert.
Yet fame soon dried up and in 2022, Mason revealed on TikTok that he had taken a job at sandwich chain, Subway.
However, he returned to the music world in 2023, releasing a flurry of new songs.
Speaking about his fame last year, Mason shared: 'I was just singing in a Walmart and someone filmed me and it just kind of took off and I didn't know about it until a week later because I wasn't really exposed to social media.'
It was revealed this month he would be performing at Kansas State Fair.
Meanwhile, Nick has continued to release several viral videos on TikTok, where he boats 8.2 million followers and has garnered more than 545 million likes for his content.

EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE: What Frederick Forsyth really thought about Eddie Redmayne's Day Of The Jackal

The shadow of the absent Harry and Meghan looms over Saturday's Trooping the Colour with the Sussexes' latest bid to steal the limelight from the King with an appearance at Los Angeles Natural History Museum where Meghan will be honoured as a 'native Angeleno'. This follows last week's Disney World photo shoot of their children neatly upstaging William's maritime initiative with David Attenborough. Charles's Canadian trip also coincided with Harry's appearance in China, Meghan's lifestyle brand was announced as William was speaking at the Diana Legacy Awards and in April the King's state visit to Italy had Meghan launching her new podcast and Harry's surprise Court of Appeal visit. Fingers crossed there'll be no twerking in Los Angeles. President Emmanuel Macron 's expected address to MPs and peers at Westminster next month provides a potential headache for Sir Keir Starmer in advance of Donald Trump 's state trip later this year. The US President was denied this honour on his first state visit after Speaker Bercow refused to let him in. So with many parliamentarians pressing to keep Trump out again how might the Government avoid a second snub? With September as the likely date, might he be asked to visit in the second half of the month when parliament is in recess? Frederick Forsyth wasn't impressed with Eddie Redmayne in the Sky remake of The Day Of The Jackal, but placated with a consulting-producer credit. 'And I got the royalties,' he told a chum rubbing a thumb against his fingers, making the universal sign of filthy lucre. Sir David Attenborough is unlikely to be on the guest list for Trump's inevitable state banquet in September. The reason? In the run-up to Trump's first election he was asked how to deal with him in The White House. 'Have we any control or influence over the American elections?' Attenborough replied. 'Of course we don't... we could shoot him… it's not a bad idea.' He faced death threats and an FBI investigation for his quip. 'You just get on with it,' said the monarch. A put-down? HM clearly wasn't one of 'the criers, worriers and huggers' earnest Jacinda dedicates her tome to. 100lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton gives health update after 8-hour surgery as she admits she's 'terrified'

1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has revealed that she has finally undergone skin removal surgery as she opened up in a new interview on Wednesday. The star - who has lost a staggering 500 pounds during her weight loss journey - first shot to fame after appearing on 1000-lb Sisters alongside her sister, Amy, back in 2020. And now Tammy, 38, has revealed she has been approved for the long-awaited surgery amid her incredible weight loss journey. She opened up about the 'overwhelming' emotions she felt after 'working really hard' over the past six years to drop the weight to be able to have the eight-hour procedure. She told People: 'After six years and losing over 500 pounds, I was finally approved for surgery. I was just overwhelmed with excitement. I worked really hard for this, and now it's here. I'm pretty sure it was noticeable on my face how immediately shocked and then overwhelmed with joy I was.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to Daily Mail's showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Tammy traveled to Pittsburgh for her skin removal with plastic surgeon Dr. J. Peter Rubin at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the reality of the procedure hit her the night before. She said: 'I was really nervous for the skin removal surgery because I was really just kind of afraid of how I'm gonna feel looking at myself without the belly there. 'The night before my surgery, I was, like, seriously freaking terrified. I was even more nervous about having skin removal surgery than I was for the [sleeve gastrectomy] surgery because they're actually cutting the whole belly!' Tammy underwent her skin removal surgery on January 18, and during the 8-hour procedure, doctors removed 'over 15 lbs' of excess skin from her chin, arms and lower stomach. The star's complex surgery was documented on 1000-Lb. Sisters and during the season finale, all of her siblings were in awe of her transformation and praised her for how far she's come in her weight loss journey. Speaking on the show, after the surgery, Tammy said: 'It feels so weird not having the ball sack hanging off my face and my bat wings are gone too, I look down and there is nothing there in my lap now. 'It's going to take a little while for me to get use to seeing myself like this'. It comes after Tammy revealed in April that she's in new relationship with a woman. In the seventh season of the much-loved TLC series, pansexual Tammy and her sister, Amy are seen catching up their fans on their lives. She spoke about her new budding romance in a confessional preview of the series - and admitted she hasn't told her family yet. Tammy said: 'There's something I haven't told my family. Amy's not the only one that's been seeing somebody new. So have I... 'I have been seeing someone for the past couple months and it's going pretty well.' She then added: 'The person I'm dating is a woman. So I haven't told my family because my family's gonna have something to say about it. 'I think my family probably has more opinions than the world has a**holes because they be farting so much.' This is Tammy's first relationship since the death of her husband, Caleb Wilingham, who she married in November 2022. 'A few years ago I came out as pansexual but after Caleb passing, I just don't want to be with men anymore,' Tammy said later in the preview clip. 'I don't know how my family is going to react when I tell them I'm seeing a woman.' Tammy's husband Caleb died from unknown causes at age 40 - just seven months after the couple tied the knot in November 2022. Last year Tammy opened up about the moment she found out that Caleb had passed away. During an interview with People, Tammy revealed a friend of Caleb's told her over text message that her husband wasn't doing well - before he informed her just 20 minutes later that he had died. At the time, Tammy was at her home in Kentucky and Caleb was at the Ohio rehab facility she had previously been at with him. 'I was sitting in the fetal position,' she told the publication. 'I got a text message from his friend up there and the text said, 'Caleb's not doing good. They're in there working on him.' 20 minutes later he texted me back and said he was gone.' The TLC star also said she had been 'doing fairly well' getting through the tragedy, and had even made a ring and musical note-shaped necklace with the ashes of her late husband. She had grown attached to the jewelry and finds comfort knowing a piece of him remains with her. 'He's going to live on now forever because his memory is encapsulated,' Tammy said. 'Knowing that he's with me, it's helping me pass the day. I find myself grabbing my necklace and holding it a lot. When I take off my jewelry, I feel like it's weird, separation anxiety. I start panicking.' Watching Caleb on their show has also provided her with some joy: 'Every time I miss him, I can always look back at the show and watch it and see what made me happy again.'

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's ‘rough patch' and ‘tension' ahead of wedding revealed

KATY Perry and Orlando Bloom have recently endured a 'rough patch' with the pair also embroiled in a tense period ahead of their wedding. The couple, who have been engaged since February 2019, welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom in August 2020, and have since been planning their wedding. 6 6 6 But despite plans in motion, Katy is said to be "stressed" after her last album launch with "stress" putting strain on the relationship between her and her husband. An insider has told People that the couple have endured a "rough patch" after she was disappointed with the reception for her album 143, which came out last September. "Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album," a source told the outlet. They explained how it made her "very stressed" and despite Orlando being "understanding" it did cause "some tension". A second source then revealed: "She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It's put stress on their relationship." Meanwhile, a source speaking to Us Weekly stated: "They have been spending more and more time apart. "They've grown apart and aren't living the same lives anymore." 'WEDDING DATE NEVER SET' A different insider then told the outlet that despite having been engaged for six years, the two superstars never set a date for their nuptials. The source claimed that they "never set a date for the wedding or got around to planning anything". They also claimed "Orlando is 'over it'," adding that "things aren't good". The U.S. Sun approached both Katy and Orlando's representatives for comment. Last autumn, ahead of Katy's album launch, things between the pair seemed to be on the right track when they packed on PDA at the MTV VMAs. Orlando announced Katy by her real name as he presented her with the iconic Vanguard award at the ceremony on September 12. Fans were stunned when Orlando, whom Katy has been in a relationship with since 2016, announced the winner of the award as Katheryn Hudson. Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom's Relationship Timeline Fans have followed Katy and Orlando's relationship since it began in 2016. Here's a breakdown of their romance. The lovebirds met in January 2016 at a Golden Globes afterparty. That May, the pair made their relationship Instagram official. Katy and Orlando broke up in February 2017, which their reps confirmed after fans noticed they kept their distance at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. They reunited a year later on vacation in Prague. In September 2018, the duo made their red carpet debut at the Gala for the Global Ocean at the Opera of Monte-Carlo in Monaco. Orlando popped the question on Valentine's Day the following year. In March 2019, Orlando revealed he sold his home and had moved in with Katy. In March 2020, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together, whom they welcomed on August 26. Shortly before their daughter Daisy Dove's second birthday, Katy teased that she wanted to have more children with her fiance. In May 2024, Katy had fans convinced she was pregnant again when she posted a photo of her holding a positive pregnancy test. She followed with throwback photos and videos of her sharing the news of her first pregnancy. GUSHING SPEECH AND PDA "Give it up for our newest Video Vanguard, Katheryn Hudson," Orlando said when presenting the award in the UBS Arena last fall. Orlando sweetly referenced the singer's birth name, before adding, "Katy Perry!" He then added, "You fell in love with her as Katy Perry, I fell in love with her as Katheryn Hudson. "You know her as a global superstar who brings love, light and her unique sense of humor into every song she writes and every music video she creates. "I know her as a mother, as a partner who brings that same love and joy to our family," he went on. Not only did he give a gushing and glowing speech about his wife-to-be, but they even embraced on-stage and shared a very public smooch, too. 6 6 6
