Justin Baldoni's Insurer Sues Him & Wayfarer Saying Its Policies Don't Cover Blake Lively Harassment Suit
Harco National Insurance Company filed the lawsuit Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. It is seeking a declaration that its two policies issued to Wayfarer — one effective from July 15, 2023-July 15, 2024 and one effective from July 15, 2024-July 15, 2025 — were signed after 'Lively and others complained of sexual harassment during pre-production and production of the Film,' as early as May 2023, outside the time parameters of the policy.

'Despite the acknowledged pre-July 2023 complaints by Lively and others, Wayfarer's July 2023 Application for the 2023 Policy includes a letter from Wayfarer which warrants that no person or entity for whom the insurance is intended has any knowledge or information of any act, error, omission, fact or circumstance which may give rise to a claim which may fall within the Employment Practices Liability coverage if issued by Harco (the '2023 Warranty'),' the lawsuit states.
'The 2023 Warranty also states that 'IT IS AGREED THAT IF SUCH KNOWLEDGE OR INFORMATION EXISTS, ANY CLAIM ARISING THEREFROM (WHETHER OR NOT DISCLOSED HEREIN), … IS EXCLUDED FROM THE PROPOSED COVERAGE.'
The defendants in North Carolina-based Harco's suit include Baldoni, It Ends With Us Movie LLC, Wayfarer CEO Jamey Heath and Wayfarer co-founder and co-chairman Steve Sarowitz.
Lively sued Baldoni, Wayfarer, his publicity team and others at the end of last year after she accused him of sexual harassment and retaliation on the set of It Ends With Us, which was released in August 2024 and grossed $351 million at the worldwide box office.Baldoni filed a countersuit against her for defamation and extortion, with The New York Times also named as a defendant. A judge dismissed the latter claim in June.
Lively's harassment suit is schedule to go to trial in March 2026 in New York.

Dart, who just turned 22, showed promise in his NFL exhibition debut, completing 12 of 19 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown. The organization hopes Dart is New York's QB of the future after trading back into the first round of the draft and selecting him with the 25th pick. 'He's someone that I enjoy coaching and have a very good relationship with and see a lot of positive signs,' Daboll said of Dart. 'I said: 'I'm proud of you tonight. Do you love it when you have to shell out more of your hard-earned money for a streaming service to simply watch one of your favorite sports? Are you a big fan of rampant buffering issues in the middle of a live sporting event, perhaps while you're even hosting people who specifically came to hang out for said event? Do you enjoy watching as widespread easy access to major sports consistently declines year over year, with the bog-standard sports-viewing experience (at home or in attendance) getting worse and worse for the average fan? Boy, do I have GREAT news for you! According to Lucas Shaw and Hannah Miller of Bloomberg, streaming giant Netflix is trying to swoop in for the broadcast rights to the annual Home Run Derby. The beloved festival of dingers currently doesn't have a home for 2026 after ESPN walked away from its MLB television rights deal, which means it's open season for other media platforms like Netflix to obtain one of the funnest, purest evenings of the entire sports calendar. Given the fragile nature of future MLB television rights in general, Netflix's acquisition of the Home Run Derby could also potentially open the door to other baseball broadcasts. Yay. Yippee. Hurray. Oh, HAPPY DAY at the mere implication that we might have to shell out another $8 somewhere else to a streamer just to watch some good old-fashioned dingers: More from Bloomberg: The streaming company has been talking to the MLB about airing the annual home run competition [the Home Run Derby] and may be interested in additional baseball programming as well, according to the people, who asked not to be identified discussing sensitive information. 'But each time you have to reinvent the show in order to give it a new dynamic to fit its new proportions. And I think that is part of our job," he explained. "That's part of what you do if you write a series for television. So in a sense, each [season] has to have a satisfactory conclusion given what's taken place within the series, but an open end where we may be going to, and that is the sort of double discipline that we write to really." Who Will Be The Gilded Age Season 4 Cast? Returning and new cast members for The Gilded Age Season 4 have not been revealed, but there's strong chance that the main cast will return.
