A look at the new product was shared on the Inverness Beauty TikTok page, which posts the latest drops in the Primark beauty and hair departments.
In the video, they showed the dry shampoo, which contains hyaluronic acid and "absorbs oils, sweat and volumises hair".
It also costs £4 for 54g, compared to £26 for 56g of Aveda's much-loved Shampowder dry shampoo.
"I hope it's like the Aveda one!!!" one person wrote in the comments section of the TikTok video.
"Oooo a trip to Primark for me!" another added.
"If you see this, I need to try it!" a third insisted, tagging a friend.
Aveda's Shampowder shampoo has long been a favourite among beauty fans - particularly for the fact that it doesn't leave a white residue like its aerosol equivalents.
"Perfect for absorbing excess oil, impurities and sweat with powerful plant powders, this dry shampoo powder instantly adds volume and texture to refresh style," Aveda say of the product on their website.
And the reviews for the pricey product are overwhelmingly positive, with one person writing: "I have been using this product for a few weeks now, I wanted to test it on days where I really needed to rescue my hair!
"I have dark brown hair and was worried at first that it comes out a white powder, but very pleased when I found it disappeared when it absorbed the oils.
Primark adds brand new Sol De Janeiro dupes to its beauty aisles and they're perfect for keeping you smelling sweet on holiday too
"I like that it isn't a spray but found the bottle a bit fiddly, took a little time to get used to."
"Love this new dry shampoo format," another added.
"It gives you good control over how much product to use vs an aggressive aerosol.
"Please bring out a dark haired version!"
"This is my new go-to dry shampoo!" a third commented.
"I love the signature Aveda smell of the formula; it's gentle and pleasant.
Top Primark summer buys
IF you're looking for more Primark summer buys, then you've come to the right place.
Shoppers have recently been raving about the new Miffy PJs from Primark.
Others were desperate to nab the new leopard print nightwear.
If animal print is your thing, you'll want to check out the new maxi skirts.
The haltnerneck tops are perfect for summer.
If you're on a budget, these trousers are identical to a pair from Zara, but without the hefty price tag.
There's brilliant travel essentials for less than £10.
And if you plan on heading to the beach, you won't want to miss these crochet bags.
"The bottle and application method is so easy to use, it evenly distributes the product and works so well to absorb the excess oil and gives me volume to extend my wash day out by a day."
Aveda isn't the only company to release an aerosol-free dry shampoo, however.
Stacey Solomon's Rehab brand also has a powder-based formula, but it's still pricey at £24.
Despite that, reviewers rave about the Essential Dry Shampoo, with some going as far to call it "one of the best dry shampoos" they've ever used.

'I found £2,000 in lost savings account after watching TikTok video'

Tayo Olutunde discovered he has a Child Trust Fund, which is a saving account that was given to children born between September 1, 2002 and January 2, 2011 We all know that not everything you see on social media is legit - so when Tayo Olutunde came across a video about Child Trust Funds on TikTok two years ago, he wasn't sure whether to believe it or not. ‌ But fast forward to now, and after a bit of investigating, the accounting and finance student is just over £2,000 richer after discovering a Child Trust Fund that he never knew existed. ‌ Child Trust Funds are saving accounts that were given to children born between September 1, 2002 and January 2, 2011. For each account, the child was given a voucher worth £250, or £500 for those from lower income families. ‌ But if the parent didn't open the Child Trust Fund, then HMRC would have opened one on behalf of the child - this means many people may not realise they even have one of these accounts. Approximately 670,000 Child Trust Funds remain unclaimed by young adults, with the average account estimated to be holding £2,200 in savings. Tayo, aged 22 and living in Leeds, told The Mirror: "I found out about Child Trust Funds on TikTok… this was about two years ago. I was quite interested and I looked into it, but I thought, lets just leave it, as it sounded too good to be true. "Fast forward to now, and I spoke to my mum and she said, yeah, I do have an account." ‌ In most cases, it isn't too difficult to track down a Child Trust Fund, but if you have moved address a lot, then there may be some extra paperwork involved, as Tayo found - but it was ultimately worth the admin. He said: "I moved house quite a lot as a kid. I moved to Nigeria as well for a few years, then I came back to the UK. I did find the address and then I got access to it. It took about a month or two months of emailing and post. "I had slightly over £2,000 [in the account]. I spent £500 on it on a holiday last year to Milan with a load of my friends. The rest, I didn't really need it, so I invested it." ‌ Tayo added: "Why would you not take your free money? Go find out how much you have. Even if you don't use it, you can invest it somewhere better." It is only possible to access your Child Trust Fund once you turn 18. You can't open a new Child Trust Fund but you can continue to pay into an existing account. ‌ How to find a lost Child Trust Fund account If you know the name of your Child Trust Fund provider, you can contact it directly to find out more about your account. If you've lost track of your account, you can ask HMRC to help you locate it by filling out a form on You can ask HMRC to find a Child Trust Fund if you're a parent or guardian of a child under 18, or if you're 16 or over and looking for your own account. You will need your National Insurance number and Government Gateway ID to fill out the online form. You can also request details by post by writing to: Charities, Savings and International 1, HMRC, BX9 1AU. ‌ Try to include as many details as possible, such as your full name, date of birth and address of the account holder, plus your National Insurance number. It comes as a leading charity is calling on the Government to introduce a scheme that will automatically release money sitting unclaimed in Child Trust Funds to their rightful owners. The Share Foundation has helped over 95,000 young people find their Child Trust Funds with a total value of nearly £200million. Gavin Oldham, OBE from The Share Foundation, said: "This is just one way to give young people from low-income backgrounds the best chance in transitioning to adult life and break the cycle of deprivation."

'Super easy' supermarket hack will save you money on your weekly food shop

Supermarket shoppers praise TikTok video sharing money saving hack they 'never knew'. Doing a big food shop is a weekly occurrence for many households. Lots of us typically head off to our preferred supermarket to grab some deals via our membership cards and apps, often on the same day each week. ‌ However, with prices going up, many shoppers are looking for new ways to save money. Thankfully, people on social media are here to lend a helping hand with their own shopping hacks that help them save an extra bit of cash here and there. ‌ One popular video shoppers are currently praising was created by TikTok user @thefinancegurl, who shared a 'super easy' supermarket hack that everyone needs to try. ‌ With over 23,000 followers, many fans tune in to see the latest tips and ticks they can use to save a little bit of money, reports the Mirror. The recent video explains how shoppers can save money by switching which aisle they shop in for a kitchen essential. In the video, the TikToker said: "Here's a super easy money-saving hack you can do at most supermarkets. When you're buying your seasoning or spices, you don't want to go to the condiments aisle. "You instead want to go to the world foods aisle. This will save you so much money." She explained: "Let me show you a few examples. In the condiments aisle, this paprika cost 43p per 10 grams, or this Asda's own brand for 21p per 10 grams, but if you go to the world foods aisle you can get this pouch of paprika for only 10p per 10 grams. "It's the same for chilli powder, so in the condiments aisle it's 45p per 10 grams, but in the world foods aisle it's 12p per 10 grams, that's literally a quarter of the price. ‌ "One more example for you, this ground ginger is 67p per 10 grams, and Asda's is 35p per 10 grams. In the world foods section, it's only 10p per 10 grams, so as you can see, it's definitely much cheaper to buy your seasonings this way." Gaining over 25,000 views and hundreds of likes, many TikTok users have thanked @thefinancegurl for sharing this useful tip, with some saying they 'never knew' they could save some extra pennies this way. ‌ One person wrote: "Oh wow I love this! Never heard anyone mention this before, thanks for sharing." Another delighted fan added: "That's a fab tip, thank you!" With a third person saying: "Oh wow I never knew this, thanks for sharing." A fourth commenter followed the advice, writing: "Yes absolutely a great idea!!!" and "Did this today for red chilli flakes." ‌ Commentors also shared their own tips, with one person saying: "Go to a small business that sells spices. They're even cheaper." Consumer experts also agree with this top tip as Which? previously shared that searching different aisles in stores could make all the difference to your overall shop. And this doesn't just apply to spices. Which? explained: "Some groceries, including rice, sauces and baking ingredients, can be found in multiple aisles at different prices. "You might, for example, find rice or chickpeas cheaper in the world foods aisle than in other parts of the shop. And if you're after sultanas or cashew nuts, check out the baking aisle as well as the dried fruit and nuts or snacking shelves." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!

'I saved £57k by age 26 - one simple system changed everything for me'

A blogger who reportedly saved over £50,000 using a 'simple system' explained why they swear by the budgeting method A budgeting guru has shared a 'simple system' that he says 'changed everything' for him. TikTok user @moneywithtao regularly talks about his finances on social media. In one post, he claims he saved £57,000 by age 26 without starting any side hustles, and he credits his success to his budgeting method. ‌ Sharing what worked for him, @moneywithtao wrote: "If you struggle to save defo try this system. It helped me build £57k without worrying." He explained: "I can show you now exactly how I did it. ‌ "A critical factor is Monzo pots. I'll show you. So I use Monzo for these here. These are the pots I've created. Now when I get paid, I know how much to put in each month into each pot. So when it's payday, I know how much to put in straight away." ‌ In the video, the content creator showcased his multiple pots, which were titled groceries, holidays, gifts, and guilt-free spending. He also said he has created virtual cards for his pots. @moneywithtao explained: "If I click on my guilt-free one here, I'm able to link a card. It can create a virtual card for you. What's cool here, you can pay directly out of that. You can have as many cards as you want. "This is my groceries one here, and this is my eating and drinking out one. Also, this is where I keep my emergency fund and personal saving. It has helped me massively. Really encourage you giving it a go." Monzo's website explains people can create virtual cards for budgeting. It says: "Virtual cards are extra cards that you can create and delete as you like for budgeting and security. If you have a virtual card, you can set it up to pay directly from a Pot. "Virtual cards also let you buy online without the risk of your physical card details falling into the wrong hands. If in the future you think someone has got hold of the card details, you can delete the virtual card and create a new one. ‌ "You can have up to 5 live virtual cards at any time and can create up to 9 every 30 days, with a maximum of 100 per year. Virtual cards can be linked to your Apple or Google wallet." Concluding his video, @moneywithtao claimed: "I saved £57,000 by 26 — no six-figure salary, no side hustle. Just a simple system using Monzo Pots. Automating my savings, naming my goals, and separating my money made it easy to save without feeling restricted. If you feel like saving is hard or overwhelming, start with just one Pot. It changed everything for me." In a recent post, the content creator also shared a video explaining how he budgets his yearly income, which included a £70,000 base salary and a £32,400 bonus. He wrote: "Most people focus on how much they earn, but the real game-changer is knowing how to split that money once it lands in your account. Here's a simple framework you can use to take control of your salary from day one: 1. Work out your true take-home pay – That's after tax, NI, pension, and any loan repayments.2. List your essentials – Rent/mortgage, bills, food, transport, insurance. Total this up so you know your 'must-pay' costs.3. Set your savings & investing target – Decide what % you'll pay yourself first before spending on anything else.4. Define your fun money – The guilt-free pot for dining out, shopping, travel, hobbies.5. Review & adjust monthly – Your expenses and income will change; your budget should too."
