An Air India flight coming from San Francisco to Mumbai had a technical problem with one of its engines during a stop at Mumbai Airport early Tuesday. The flight, AI180, landed on time at 12:45 AM. However, a fault was found in the left engine, which caused a delay in the next takeoff.
Around 5:20 AM, the crew made an announcement asking all passengers to get off the plane. The pilot informed everyone that the decision was taken to ensure everyone's safety.
In a video from the ground, the left engine of the Air India aircraft can be seen stationed on the tarmac at Kolkata airport, with ground staff inspecting the area.
This incident happened just five days after another serious Air India accident. Flight AI-171, which was flying from Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai International Airport to London's Gatwick Airport, crashed into the BJ Medical College hostel building shortly after take-off.
There were 242 people on board: 230 passengers, 10 cabin crew members, and 2 pilots. Tragically, everyone on the plane died in the crash, except for one British national named Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, who survived but was severely injured.

Therefore, surviving a serious accident is a blessing in the ordinary sense. Such phenomena consider the possibility of hidden causal orders, subtler than physical laws, which govern extraordinary events. The survival of the lone individual against all odds may be a manifestation of these hidden resonates that the ordinary world we experience is only a surface phenomenon, a visible ripple, while the true depth of reality lies in a more unified whole. Miracles, therefore, are not violations of nature but revelations of their greater potential than the physical, measurable world. Here, the Supreme principle can interrupt ordinary causality to produce a wonder beyond human knowledge and causal explanations. New video shows students jumping from medical college hostel after Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad
A new video showing students jumping out of a medical college building in Gujarat's Ahmedabad where an Air India plane crashed last week, has surfaced online. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with 242 persons on board crashed into a medical college complex in Ahmedabad moments after taking off from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 1.39pm on June 12. While 241 persons on board the London-bound aircraft died, one passenger miraculously survived. The crash also killed 29 persons on the ground, including five MBBS students. In the latest video, students can be seen crossing the balcony fencing and trying to climb down when a massive fire caught the lower floor of the BJ Medical College hostel, believed to have been caused by the plane that crashed into the hostel.
