The conference reflects the commission's commitment to building a critical landscape that transcends traditional event concepts, establishing an interactive knowledge framework that brings together critics, researchers, filmmakers, and emerging Saudi talents.
The comprehensive program includes informative sessions, practical workshops, and specialized art exhibitions.
This year's edition will open avenues for dialogue about the reciprocal relationship between cinema and place, viewing it as a means of identity establishment, narrative representation, and visual contemplation, enriching each other historically.
It will explore the embodiment of place in cinema as both a symbol and a mirror of reality, or a window into imagination, thereby inviting diverse critical and philosophical approaches.
The conference continues to strengthen its unique position, serving as a platform that celebrates the cinematic criticism movement in the region. Last year's edition attracted over 10,000 visitors from more than 30 countries, with participation from over 35 local and international entities, alongside prominent critics, directors, and film researchers.

Karrion Kross reacts to Triple H mistaking chants for him with Brock Lesnar. Lesnar shocked the world with his return at WWE SummerSlam. The Beast made his surprise comeback to confront John Cena following his loss to Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship on Sunday. While Lesnar's return quickly became the highlight of the night, fans made sure to (once again) acknowledge Karrion Kross during the post-show panel. WWE's Chief Content Officer, Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, was part of the post-SummerSlam panel, where he was met with heavy 'We Want Kross' chants from the fans. At one point during the chants, Hunter turned back to face the crowd and replied: 'You want Brock, you've got him.' Triple H's reaction was notable, as he possibly heard 'We want Brock' intead of 'Kross' from the lively crowd gathered behind the stage. Either way, the segment got a response from Karrion Kross himself, who took to Twitter/X to let his fans know what he thought the acknowledgement. 'Unreal. The Golden Globe Foundation has announced the election of its officers and board members for the 2025-26 year. Adam Tanswell has been elected president of the Golden Globe Foundation, with Miriam Spritzer serving as treasurer and Tim Kittleson, an independent board member, assuming the role of secretary. Additionally, Raffi Boghosian and Ramzy Malouki have been appointed as members of the board of directors, while Bianca Goodloe joins the board as an independent member. The Golden Globe Foundation's Board of Directors also includes Vera Anderson, Mia Farrell (independent board member), and Meher Tatna. Except for independent board members, all directors are also active Golden Globe voters.
