She had been receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Sixth of October City, Giza, Egypt, before succumbing to her condition on Monday, March 31, 2025. The news of her passing was confirmed by actress Heidi Selim, who posted on Facebook: "Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him, we shall return. Inas Najjar is in God's care." Najjar had fallen into a coma due to severe blood poisoning caused by a gallbladder rupture. Her most recent work included a role in the Ramadan 2025 television series Al-Halangi, starring Mohamed Ragab, Ayten Amer, Abir Sabri, Mohamed Lotfy, and Mahmoud Qabil. The series was written by Mahmoud Hamdan and directed by Moataz Hossam. A Career in Film and Television Born on June 28, 1983, in Sfax, Tunisia, Inas Najjar made her entry into the entertainment industry through a music video for the song Ya Tara by Bahaa Sultan. Her performance caught the attention of director Mohamed Najjar, who cast her in Mido Mashakel alongside Egyptian star Ahmed Helmy, marking the beginning of her cinematic career in Egypt. Over the years, she appeared in several notable films, including Bahebak Wana Kaman (2003), Ali Spicy (2005), Karkar (2007), Ahasees (2010), Ezbet Adam (2009), Kalbi Dalili (2013), and Wahed Saidi (2014). She also took on television roles in series such as Yetrabba Fi Ezo and Ali Mubarak. A Sudden and Tragic End In her final days, Najjar suffered a severe health crisis that led to her hospitalization in intensive care. Her condition, caused by complications from gallbladder rupture, led to septicemia, ultimately resulting in her passing. Her death marks a significant loss for the Arab entertainment industry, as fans and colleagues mourn the departure of a talented actress whose work left a lasting impact on audiences across the region.
