The Dame Hug Is a Damn Near Perfect Sex Toy for Heterosexual Couples
When sex toy brand Dame first launched in 2014, its focus was on making no-frills sex toys for people with vulvas. In its quest to close the 'pleasure gap,' the company's first product was the Eva—a hands-free clitoral vibrator that could be comfortably worn during penetration thanks to a clever design.
A 2015 study of over 1,000 women published in the Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy found that only 18 percent can orgasm through intercourse alone, and 37 percent said clitoral stimulation was necessary for orgasm during intercourse. It might not be a surprise, then, that the Eva became a hit, even before it shipped. Its Indiegogo campaign raised more than $850,000, one of the most successful crowdfunded sex toys in history.
Dame is now trying something different: a sex toy for people with a penis. However, the aptly named Hug wraps around the base of the penis with its adjustable arms, and the other end provides vibrating goodness for the clitoris. It's a sex toy for couples—the best of both worlds. A Ring Unlike Any Other
Photograph: Dame
I don't have a penis, but I have sex with those who do. Combined with my 10-plus years covering sexual wellness and sex toys, I can confidently say that I know my way around cock rings and have tried more than my fair share. The Hug doesn't look like any cock ring I've seen before.
Knowing nothing about Dame, my partner said, "It looks like it was designed by a woman.' This was by no means an insult, but a compliment. Just looking at the Hug, you can see the consideration that went into the product's design for both the person who will be wearing the Hug and the person who will be enjoying the penis it's on.
As much as I don't want to do a compare-and-contrast session about cock rings, the Hug has a major standout feature that must be addressed. In a world of silicone cock rings that require either a lot of lube or a flaccid shaft to get it on the penis, the Hug has pinchable arms, so you can easily put it on and take it off at any time, no matter the erection status. Having been with partners who struggled to get cock rings on and/or off, it's a much smarter design.
If that wasn't impressive enough, the body of the Hug is shaped to target the clitoris. Clitoral stimulation always feels like an afterthought with most of the cock rings on the market designed to pleasure both partners. Not the case with the Hug.
Not only are all five vibration levels tucked into a dome that aligns perfectly with the clitoris, but the Hug is surprisingly flexible, moving with the body effortlessly. You can easily go from missionary to a sitting up position without having to adjust anything. This was something both my partner and I loved. While finagling and readjusting sex toys is sometimes necessary, the Hug was very much in sync with both of our bodies. Near Perfect for Couples
Photograph: Dame
I consider the Hug a near-perfect sex toy. My partner and I used it multiple times, with my forever-beloved water-based lubricant Bijoux Indiscrets' Sex au Natural, and each time it floored us both. The Hug felt like a cohesive part of our sexual pleasure and not a third wheel.
The Hug takes about two hours to charge and lasts only an hour, but that's not really a bad thing for a cock ring. Blood flow to the penis shouldn't be restricted for more than 30 minutes. Though thanks to the Hug's design, you can loosen things up on the penis while keeping the vibrations focused on the clitoris. It's 100 percent waterproof, easy to navigate with its one button, very quiet (not quite whisper-quiet), and USB-C rechargeable. Dame even offers a 3-year warranty.
It's ultimately designed for hetero couples or someone with a penis who's flying solo and experimenting with erections and blood flow. Which is more than OK! Not every sex toy is geared toward all bodies, all genders, and all sexualities. If it remotely sounds appealing, trust me, the Hug is something you'll want in your sex toy arsenal.

Beyond The Gates Recap: Dani Gives Nicole a Crash Course in Break The China Therapy
Beyond The Gates Recap: Dani Gives Nicole a Crash Course in Break The China Therapy originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Beyond The Gates recap: Garland Memorial Hospital: Bill brags to Hayley about his progress but she thinks he still needs PT. Just then, Shanice enters all ready to go. Hayley and Shanice give him the business before Shanice wants to start with his arms. She tells him to crumple paper into a ball. He successfully completes the task with his left hand but is unable to do so with his right. Just then, Dr Montgomery arrives to check in. Hayley explains Bill is a charmer at home 99% of the time but that other 1% he can be an ass. She and Shanice giggle (I like seeing Hayley have someone with whom she gets along) while Bill grouses. Dr Montgomery tells Bill the only way he's getting out of the hospital is by proving himself in PT. Anita and Vernon's Mansion: Vernon gets a call from Anita about her trip to Chicago. She talks about how meeting the other women helped her get out of the projects. He thinks it was inevitable just like the two of them. Vernon promises to keep the home fires burning. Nicole and Ted's Home: Nicole asks Laura how she's settling in. Laura is frustrated but Nicole tells her to be patient and says how proud she is of her for recovering so quickly. Laura asks if it would be ok if she asks Eva to come over and walk her through her new system. Nicole agrees as long as Eva is willing. Nicole admits to missing a version of Eva and even thought she was telling the truth the day before. That being said, she can't forget all that Eva did to blow up her family. Laura tries to be supportive, but Nicole goes on to note how Ted also lied to her and is even more responsible for blowing up their lives. She apologizes to Laura for dumping on her, but she is happy things are getting back to normal. Eva arrives and learns from Laura that Nicole signed off on her visit. Laura compliments Eva's work system but needs some help. Eva realizes Laura doesn't really need help and she admits she thinks Nicole really misses her. Eva thinks Laura is appeasing her, but she says it's how she feels. Eva says she doesn't deserve a relationship with Nicole, but Laura thinks that should be her decision to make. Eva can't imagine how they would move past the hurt and embarrassment. Laura can't know how things will shake out, but she wants Eva to be prepared either way. Leslie's Apartment: Leslie is excitedly watching her story when Jacob arrives with yet another search warrant. She asks what Kat had to do with the new search. Jacob tells her to send questions to her lawyer. She gets snarky in an attempt to distract Jacob and talks about her story, 'Before Always.' She says she is enjoying Millie who used to be the villain but is now the heroine. Leslie wishes real life could work that way (such good writing). Suddenly, Jacob finds the motorcycle helmet and gloves that Kat planted. Leslie thinks it's awfully convenient he found nothing the first time and now found evidence in the open in her living room. She suggests the evidence has been tampered with before Jacob and his partner exit. As they walk away, Leslie says, 'spoiler alert: In the end, I win.' Orphey Gene's: Kat is ribbing Chelsea about her live stream with Dr Montgomery. Chelsea is reluctant to discuss which makes Kat wonder why she's being so coy. They chat a bit about her not having told Bill she's into women, but Chelsea says now is not the time. Chelsea says they need a bigger work and living space and suggests they use Dani's guesthouse. Kat reminds her that she is volunteering to live mere feet away from her mother. Just then, Jacob arrives to speak with Kat and Chelsea makes her exit. Jacob tells Kat about the search warrant and how he found the helmet and gloves. Kat is thrilled but Jacob thinks it's very strange the evidence suddenly appeared. He thinks Kat had a hand in planting the evidence just in time for his search. Kat denies any wrongdoing and Jacob says he moved forward with analyzing the evidence. He thinks they could soon have enough to demand a DNA sample. Just then, Jacob gets a call and learns they have visual confirmation of a match with the video. Kat notes they are another step closer to putting that bitch away. Just then, Jacob gets a call with what is clearly not great news. Anita and Vernon's Mansion: Nicole and Dani arrive, and their father tells them about The Articulettes' reunion. Vernon says they are in Chicago, and their mother will be home in a few weeks. Dani is excited but Nicole looks distraught. She breaks down saying she needs her mother right now. Nicole apologizes for her outburst and Vernon realizes she came over to seek her mother's counsel. He notes how much Anita needs this time to reunite with her old bandmates and she's just a call away. Dani thinks it's great her mother is getting to scratch her FOMO itch. Also, in a pinch, Nicole has her. She knows what it's like to be betrayed by the man she loves. Nicole hates they are in the same club, but Dani wants to teach her the secret handshake. With that, Dani ushers her sister out. Garland Memorial Hospital – Bill's Room: Dr Madison asks about Bill's daughters and notes the influencer and the lawyer's different life paths. Bill realizes Dr Montgomery is asking her questions to test his cognitive abilities. She doesn't disagree but also likes to get to know her patients. She goes on and asks what it's like to have a daughter with over a million followers which reminds Hayley the good doctor was on young Chelsea's feed the day before. Nicole and Ted's Home: Laura thanks Eva for helping her learn the new system. Eva is grateful for an opportunity to be helpful – in the midst of this back and forth she declines a call from her mother. She only wishes she could take back everything from the past few months. Laura notes her improved relationship with Ted and thinks she and Nicole will eventually come back together. Just then, Eva gets another call from her mother and walks into the other room. Leslie says they have come to the end of the world as they know it. Dani's Place: Dani hands Nicole a cup and tells her to throw it against the wall. She's reluctant so Dani goes first. She says nothing broken in her sister's life is under her control. Nicole takes the cup and breaks it into a million pieces. With that, Dani hand her another and she breaks it. Dani directs Nicole to put a name on the next cup before she breaks it. She leads by example by yelling at her Bill cup before sending it into the wall. Nicole follows by going off on her Ted cup before sending it to crash and burn. Leslie's Apartment: Leslie pulls Eva in and asks if her daughter wants her dead or in prison for the rest of her life. Eva has no clue what's happening as her mother continues. She tells Eva all about the second search warrant and Jacob finding the helmet and gloves. She wants to know how the hell they ended up back in her apartment. Leslie is crushed to think her daughter wanted her to get caught. She breaks down a bit as she says aloud Eva doesn't love her anymore. Garland Memorial Hospital – Lobby: Chelsea arrives and asks Shanice about her dad. She says he is a grouch when Madison arrives. She says Bill is vocal and strong-willed but says he is quickly improving. Chelsea says she and her father weren't in the best place but feels hopeful they will be able to get their relationship back. Previous Beyond The Gates Recap: Endings Madison tells Chelsea that Bill is lucky to have gotten to the hospital so quickly. Chelsea swears her to secrecy but secretly thanks Hayley for acting so quickly. She gets a little flirty about seeing Madison during her father's follow ups. Madison suggests they grab dinner sometime. Jacob tells Kat the judge is unwilling to grant an order to collect DNA because they suddenly found evidence during the second search which was not revealed in the first. Without the DNA, they are dead in the water. Eva says she will always love her mother. However, there never should have been a helmet and gloves to hide as she should never have run Laura off the road. Eva admits she hid the evidence in her hotel room and has no idea how it got back here. She has to know she would never intentionally do anything to hurt her. Leslie nods in agreement but says this is not how her second chance was supposed to work out. She begins to cry, and Eva promises to try and figure out what happened. Leslie promises to get some rest. The two exchange I love yous and a hug before Eva exits. After she leaves, Leslie laughs and says she is here to stay. She admits he's better and she says Chelsa and Ashley are there with her. Garfield Memorial Hospital – Bill's Room: The doctor (who is Chelea's crush Madison) is giving Bill a stroke protocol test and notes he's not fully back to normal. Garfield Memorial Hospital – Lobby: Chelsea and Naomi see Bill and has Ashley give them an update. Ashley says he's on his way to get a scan, but the results might be slow to return. They wheel Bill off, and Chelea can't believe Hayley didn't call them. Naomi admits Hayley is problematic but says they need to work with her. Orphey Gene's: Derek runs into Andre and asks about Leslie. He notes he saw Leslie grill Ashley and thinks she is dangerous. Hotel – Eva's Room: Nicole arrives to see Eva. She tries to be accommodating, and Nicole asks why she met with Laura. Eva explains she wanted to help but Nicole is reluctant to believe her. Nicole says she knows certain people never admit defeat and notes the bond between mother and daughter is strong. Eva thinks it would be wrong of her to abandon her mother when she is her current mental state. She is all her mother has in this world. Nicole offers some advice and tells her to value her safety and self-worth of all others. Eva notes Ted would have said the same thing and says how in-sync the two still are. Nicole starts to make her way out when Eva says she hates what she and her mother did to split up her marriage. Nicole says she doesn't need an apology. Eva gets it and says she wants her and Ted to work things out and Nicole accepts her apology. With that, she exits. Leslie's Apartment: Kat arrives to see Leslie, who assumes she's there to apologize. Leslie does her best Anita impression about manners and then says she was wrong to say Eva ran Laura off the road. She notes they didn't find anything when the police searched her place. Kat says she wants mutual surrender. She says she has decided to accept the fact that Leslie and Eva have destroyed the evidence connecting them to Laura's accident. Just then, Leslie gets a call and tells Kat to stand back while she takes it. On the other end, Tomas asks what she needs. Leslie says she wants to meet face to face, and they agree to meet at Orphey Gene's. While Leslie finishes her call, Kat opens the window. After a little back and forth snark, Kat makes her exit. Garfield Memorial Hospital – Bill's Room: Naomi and Chelsea walk in. Hayley runs up and embraces Naomi saying how scared she's been for Bill. Naomi looks around at Chelea who is rolling her eyes. Chelsea asks what the doctor said, and Hayley says they think it's a stroke. Hayley tells them what happened at home and Naomi assures her that she is not to blame for what happened to her father. Hayley thanks them for their kindness. Just then, Dani opens the door and sees her daughters being nice to her enemy. Police Station: Derek arrives to ask Jacob about Leslie. He tells him about Leslie's conversation with Ashley and how she's making it look like the Duprees are trying to frame her for Laura's accident. Jacob says Leslie is at the top of his most wanted list. Just then, he gets a text about the case and asks Derek to go with him (why?). Orphey Gene's: Tomas and Leslie meet up. She says Eva has such wonderful things to say about Tomas. He inquires and Leslie says she is nothing but innocent. That being said, she knows how the rich folks always have a fixer. Tomas rightfully assumes Leslie is asking her to be just that. Leslie needs Kat to back down as she's a wee obsessed with her. She talks about their recent encounter and says calling the police will do no good. Tomas can't imagine why he would ever help her. Leslie asks him to help her with the order of protection as she needs protection from that gutter snipe. Tomas turns her down and Leslie gives him all the information about Eva's crush. She says she advised Eva against messing with him before but now thinks they belong together. Tomas says Leslie should lose his number. She ignores him and says Eva is a good girl who could be his queen. With that, Tomas exits. Just then, Jacob and Derek enter. They take a seat beside Leslie when Kat walks in. They all get very snarky before Leslie makes her exit. Kat waits for Derek to exit before Kat returns to the table. She tells Jacob she has another theory. Garfield Memorial Hospital – Lobby: Naomi and Chelsea are gathered with Chelsea when Bill returns from his scan. Ashley wheels him back to his room as they all agree to stay close. Garfield Memorial Hospital – Bill's Room: Ashley exits leaving Dani and Hayley in the room with Bill. Hayley watches as Dani tells Bill what he will and won't be doing. He agrees to do as he's told as Hayley takes his hand. Dr Montgomery returns and introduces herself to Chelsea, as if they aren't already intimately familiar. She tells Bill and his family he had a small stroke which impacted his brain stem. Dani asks about a time frame, and she says six to eight months. Bill will be in the hospital for a few days. If he cooperates, the timeline can accelerate. Garfield Memorial Hospital – Lobby: Andre arrives, and Ashley fills him in Bill's condition and her uncomfortable conversation with Leslie. Chelsea catches up with Madison and she says she didn't know if she was out to her family. Chelsea pushes for details and Madison says she is very professional and logical at work. She says how nervous she is to be interacting with a supermodel. Chelsea does her best to calm her nerves before Madison exits. Leslie's Apartment: Kat returns and climbs in the window she previously opened. She sneaks in and hides the bag in a storage area (Hey Tide!). Kat places everything else back in its place (including Tide!) and makes her exit. Hotel – Eva's Room: Leslie arrives in a panic. She begins searching the room saying she needs her daughter to hand over the helmet and gloves. Previous Beyond The Gates Recap: Endings Chelsea returns and they all ask why she went out to get water and returned with nothing. Dani exits and Chelsea crosses to help her father sit up. Ashley and Derek head out leaving Andre behind. Just then, Dani arrives. Andre says he wants to take care of her, and they agree to meet up in a few minutes. Nicole arrives and Dani provides a full update. She looks around and notes Andre's presence and Dani's reaction to him. Kat tells Jacob that Leslie always has to be the smartest person in the room. She thinks the smartest place for her to hide evidence is in her apartment as he wouldn't get a second search warrant for the same location. Jacob agrees to go back to the judge (why isn't Jacob questioning Kat's suddenly revised theory). Eva won't give Leslie the evidence and says she will continue to protect her. With that, Leslie reluctantly agrees to exit. After she leaves, Eva looks under her bed and finds the bag has disappeared. Keep checking back for the latest Beyond The Gates recaps! Dakota Johnson Proves a Little Black Dress Can Still Be the Most Fabulous Choice
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Dakota Johnson looked electric las night as she made her entrance at an event celebrating Italian jewelry brand Roberto Coin in New York City. The actor was spotted walking into Cipriani, looking ultra-glamorous in a strapless black draped gown that was pulled up at the center and flowed down to the sides. The slinky maxi dress was both easy and so elevated for a night out in the city. Johnson styled the piece with Ferragamo's pointy black Eva pumps with slanted stiletto heels, and a magnificent diamond necklace from Roberto Coin. The necklace adorned her decolletage like a floral lace collar, but with white diamonds instead. It was dotted with blue heart-shaped sapphires. To go with the necklace, the Am I OK? star also slipped on some blue cocktail rings from the jeweler. She completed her effortlessly sophisticated look with a dark smoky eye and a bronze lip. Johnson also wore a little black dress earlier this month, to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. Then, she accessorized even more minimally, styling it only with strappy heels and tiny diamond earrings—plus a pretty side braid. Johnson served as the face of Roberto Coin's latest campaign, 'The Art of Dreaming.' In a video, she is seen standing before stunning views around Venice in several of the jewelry label's gleaming new creations. 'Today a vision comes true with the new 'The Art of Dreaming' advertising campaign by Roberto Coin featuring a stellar @dakotajohnson. Venice has never been so enchanting,' the brand wrote on Instagram alongside the clip.
