
Anas Jaradat Enters 23rd Year in Israeli Prisons
Jenin - Saba:
Palestinian detainee Anas Ghaleb Hassan Jaradat from the town of Silat al-Harithiya, west of Jenin, entered his 23rd year in Israeli prisons today, Sunday.
Montaser Samour, director of the Jenin Prisoners Club, said, according to the Palestinian WAFA News Agency, that Jaradat was arrested on May 11, 2003, and was sentenced by Israeli authorities to 35 life sentences, in addition to 35 years.
He added that Jaradat earned his high school diploma and a bachelor's degree in history while in captivity.

Local Palestinian sources reported that settlers from settlements located on Palestinian land east of Yatta stormed Tel Ma'in, armed, and chased the shepherds, expelling them from their lands. In addition, last night, Israeli settlers cut down about 100 olive saplings in the Marj Sa'i plain, located between the villages of al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah. Death toll from Israeli shelling of several areas in Gaza Strip rises to 22
Gaza - Saba: The death toll from Israeli enemy shelling this morning and Saturday morning in several areas of the Gaza Strip has risen to 22. The Palestinian Wafa News Agency reported that 12 Palestinian citizens were killed and more than 40 others were injured as a result of the Israeli shelling of the tents of displaced persons west of Khan Yunis, including four members of one family (the father, mother, and their two sons). Wafa added that seven other Palestinian citizens were killed when the Israeli enemy shelled a house housing displaced persons west of Gaza City. The agency also reported that five Palestinian citizens were killed and others were injured by Israeli army fire near an aid center west of Rafah. The agency noted that the number of martyrs killed by Israeli enemy fire while trying to obtain food since the 27th of last month until today has reached 115, with more than 580 wounded, and nine missing. On the first day of Eid al-Adha, 33 citizens were killed in Israeli airstrikes and shelling on several areas in the Gaza Strip.
