Modesto police arrest four people in organized retail theft operation
(FOX40.COM) —Modesto Police Department Detectives were assigned to work Organized Retail Theft Operations, which led to the arrest of four people.
MPD said the detectives that were assigned to the Property Crimes Unit, along with other personnel, were working on Organized Retail Theft Operations alongside community business partners within the city.
Vandalism causes Xfinity outage in Sacramento area
Officials came across a group of people who were attempting to victimize one of the retailers, MPD said. The individuals were then caught red-handed and booked into Stiansilaus County Public Safety Center for several felony charges.
Later, authorities discovered the group had committed thefts from six different stores in three different cities. Over $6,000 in property was recovered and returned to the businesses that were victimized.
